My son and I went for drinks and Pommes. The Pommes plate was big and tasty. The service was friendly. We sat outdoors and enjoyed the sights and sound of nature.

Absolutely terrible service. The hours are listed as open until 18:00 and I arrived at 17:37 and asked to buy a bottle of water. The apparent manager was sitting outside with a coffee and refused because the register was closed. Then I offered to pay for a glass of tap water (as in, give a tip because obviously tap doesn’t need to go on the register) and he refused because “everything was already cleaned” of course as I left I saw that they were still clearing tables and that was not the case. This was just lazy and in-compassionate behavior. Especially since this restaurant is the only one for miles, I found it particularly inhumane not to give someone a glass of water.

This place was... so so, the food, sorry to say was not good and first of all coming so late to our table 45min (its wired that people owing after you, receiving the same dish before you). The green sauce was terrible and despite of the taste not really good mixed. The waiters are nice but I assume they need some more practice. Not going for food anymore. I did not eat my plate...

Vibe is great, food and drinks are all very generous portion, service is ok.

Super lovely people, the reviews saying otherwise show more of them as customer then the restaurant.. if you treat people with kindness and respect then you’ll receive it.. the food here is typical from the region and I found my favorite dish here. To assume that a price should be the same as the supermarket is a bit silly the prices are fair for the fact that it’s located at the sightseeing location and a playground. It’s a definite recommendation from me.

We waited food for 2 hours with 3 small kids. 4 tables next to us that came after us got their food and once I went it to intervene and ask about it, the waitress said :” I can charge your drinks now and cancel the food order and you can leavw if you are not happy”. Without saying they are sorry, she was very rude.obviously because of high demande they do not care about customers.

Very nice place for some laid back afternoon/ eve. For us the service was also really friendly although it was very crowded. Huge amount of fries as well :)

I'm astonish to see the negative comments concerning seating policy! The sign on the shop clearly states that purchases made TO GO are TO GO, and seating is for those who order from the menu. How hard can it be to get it? I'm a regular customer since forever and this place is super friendly with delicious food and drink. Best frankfurter schnitzel, best kaiserschmarrn in town. Super cozy advent and christmas setting, offering mulled wine, cakes and barbecue sausages. All in all - if you can read and bring friendly attitude, you will get friendliness back.

I didn't feel well on the way back from the walk, I needed water. I wanted to buy water from here, it is not closed yet and even though there are customers, they did not sell me water. I came home very hard. Very rudely they said they were closing but it was still open. Pretty inhuman approach. This place is in the forest and we are jogging, it can happen to anyone.

We were walking there and decided to buy an ice cream, first I asked for lemon ice, but since it was over the guy decided just to give me whatever flavor without asking me if I want it or not. But okay, I liked it. Then we decided to seat down for couple of minutes to finish our ice cream before we go up to the turm, this place was half empty. But waiter directly came to us and told us that we can't seat because we only bought an ice cream. we said ok, just one sec and we will leave, then he went in and some lady came and started to scream crazily something about taxes and Finanzamt overall screaming that we have to stand up right now and leave because we only took an ice cream, and directly another man came and joined her with screaming. No one offered us to maybe order something so we could spend more money there and keep sitting, no, instead they chose just to scream I guess other customers also didn't enjoy the show that much. And btw they are the ONLY restaurant in that area. I think some people should better work with stones or ground, not with other people.

30min waiting time just for the drinks…. The waitress couldn’t care less.

I got food poisoning after having a salad with chicken. Became violently ill around 30 minutes after eating and was sick for hours. The service was great. Hopefully was a fluke.

terrible service, we waited an hour after placing our order and did not receive the food (people arrived after us and received the food) and our order was simple! we had to wait a ridiculous time for the drinks, when we finally gave up we couldn't ask for the bill either! in the end we decided to go to somewhere else .... stay away from this place !!!! Seriously

Perfect location for throwing a party ... which we did with about 90 guests. Perfect preparation and service, really good food and the location speaks for itself (even without the tower which will be rebuilt next year). I can only recommend. Best

The location is quite nice but the service could be a lot better. Our order was forgotten, so we had to wait a long time just to receive two drinks and some fries. It was a busy day and I realize that such an error can happen, but the same thing happened when we wanted to pay - we were forgotten again and if we hadn't gone inside to pay, we'd probably would have needed to wait even longer.

Best schnitzel in Frankfurt, best French fries, best grüner sosse, best kaiserschmarrn and very good and friendly service. Been going there for years.
