My wife requested Nicola's for her Birthday dinner, so we went. Noelani, our waitress, was very kind and knew the menu. She was also great with wine pairing. We ordered an appetizer of calamari, with entrees of Dolce Piccante and Chicken Emiliana. All dishes were good and the atmosphere was great! This resturant is well worth your visit. When you go ask for Noelani.

Looking for the most delicious Italian cuisine with outstanding service? Visit Nicola’s on Oleander Dr. We went for the first time last night. The food from start to finish was superb. We had bruschetta for an appetizer which was the best I’ve ever eaten. Everyone’s entrees were delicious. They make their pasta in house! We enjoyed cannolis for dessert, which were the perfect end to the best meal we’ve eaten in a very long time! Our server, Sara was amazing! She was so knowledgeable and nice. This was our first visit, but will now be our favorite date night restaurant. Our only regret, not visiting sooner.

Wow, great Italian food in Wilmington! Pasta is made in house. If you order the pappardelle, you can choose meat sauce, meatballs or sausage, or two or all three combined! Good wine and non alcoholic beer.

Authentic Italian cuisine in a small, somewhat austere space with great service. Homemade pasta is the difference. Nothing fancy but it doesn't need to be. Recommended.

It was a nice date night away from everyone. We visited on a Friday evening. It was a quick seating. The restaurant is very pleasantly spacious. It was not very loud either which was a surprise too. Our server was very friendly and kind. Katherine I believe was her name. She was wonderful! The food was delicious and yes very fresh! We will most definitely be going back. 😊👍❤️

This place is one of my favorite Italian places so far. We just decided to go out, typed in Italian and this was the one at the top of the list and I'm so glad we went. The bruschetta.....so good! It does have the pesto on it so if you have a nut allergy be careful but it is a must try for an appetizer. I got the spicy chicken risotto and it had so much flavor and it was a good size portion I couldn't eat it all. They even have a dessert menu! Excellent atmosphere, it was a bit loud but people of all ages were enjoying their time so it was to be expected. Our waitress was really friendly and made sure we were taken care of. We didn't feel rushed or anything and really can't wait to go back and try something else!

We had a birthday gathering of 11 at Nicholas last night. Our server, Sydney, was a Rock Star. She made sure our wine glasses and water glasses were always full. We ordered 2 white pizzas for appetizers which came one after the other so all pieces were hot and delicious. Our salads came out first and all entrees followed at the same time. All of the entrees were absolutely delicious! My peppercorn ribeye with Gorgonzola sauce ranked in top 5 steaks that I have ever had. THANK YOU, NICHOLAS, FOR A WONDERFUL EVENING!’

Being new to the area, we rely on recommendations, so when someone from Italy told us we must go to Nicola's, we figured we had to try it...so glad we did, it was really good. We started our meal with fried calamari which was some of the best we've ever had, incredibly light and crispy. Our favorite dish was the cabernet short ribs with parmesan risotto, absolutely delicious and the risotto was wonderfully creamy and flavorful. Service was great and everyone was super friendly. We will definitely return!

My all time favorite Italian restaurant. I love this place. Best food and service. I have never been disappointed in any way. The best food and dessert you can get. The reason it opens at 5 because they spend all day preparing for dinnjer.

Absolutely delicious! Food... Wine... We celebrated a friend's birthday and our server and her team made it perfect for us🥳🎉 that profiterol was exquisite. Thank you and I'll be back next time with my family ☺️

I was excited about finally eating at Nicola's, I have wanted to for a long time. I live nearby. I decided tonight was it. I was rewarding myself for quite an accomplishment at work. I walked in, no one was at hostess station, a couple in front of me waited also. She finally came sat them then told me I could sit at the bar. Okay, no big deal. I sat in in the only available spot, next to a kid sitting with his Dad. Do they let kids sit at the bar? Dad seemed slightly drunk to me. It took over 10 minutes for the bartender/server to take my order. Then it took 45 minutes for my food. I must say when my Chicken Carbornara arrived it was absolutely delicious. No complaints whatsoever on the food. It then took another 15 minutes just to pay my check. Neolani seems to have alot of fans and regulars that visit her at the bar and that's great. But if you bring me my check and I put card in to pay it, dont stand there carrying on a conversation. Over an hour had gone and I was ready to go. She also put my leftovers in contain and had noodle hanging out. I will say again the food was fantastic. I got the feeling they have a lot of regulars and when everyone is being treated like family & friends but you, then you feel like you are intruding.

This is one of our favorite restaurants and by the way I rated it it should be our favorite, but I stand by my ratings. Food. It has been awesome every time, there's never been a meal I haven't enjoyed. Service. Waite (is that how you spell it?) staff has always been awesome, more than just cordial. And they never seemed rushed. Atmosphere. We still comment about the atmosphere here every visit, in a good way. It may be a little noisier than we'd like, but not overly so and you can still here your partner. We try and find a new restaurant every week on date night, but after a few weeks we find ourselves returning here for our fix of Nicola's. (PS. I don't like giving out five stars, to me that should be reserved for the elite, but this is one of them.)

Brought my dad to, Nicola's last night for his birthday. Excellent food with matching service. Portions so large we were able to take some home with us to experience it all again the next day. The wonderful waitress brought out a cream puff dessert as a surprise for my fathers birthday as well. Best resturaunt in town!

We had a large group of men out for our monthly neighborhood guys night out Thursday and everyone loved their food. Service was better than excellent and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better all around experience. I had the Pappardelle and it was absolutely fabulous. 5 stars. Highly recommend.

Menu had some good selections, but overall, it seemed sorta limited (no chicken alfredo with fettuccine, for example). Pricing a little higher than similar establishments. The atmosphere was sorta weird with the seating and lighting and left us wondering if we were in the right place. The complimentary bread with oil was good. The mozzarella sticks and garlic knots appetizers were delicious and better than many places I've ordered them from. Service was great, and we were well taken care of during our visit. The meals we ordered were delicious as well. There are too many other italian restaurants in the area that I'd try before returning. This place was decent but not that memorable to go out of my way to return. If you're looking for an Olive Garden type of restaurant this is NOT it. With that being said...try this place yourself and see what you think.

Amazing little Italian restaurant. Make sure you get there early or make a reservation because this place fills up quick especially on the weekends. The pasta 🍝 is homemade and pizza is amazing.

Always excellent! Great service, food is cooked to order. Pasta is homemade and sauces are so good. The lemon basil salad dressing is delicious as are the garlic knots. This is a favorite restaurant for us. Huge servings ...always a doggie bag to go home.

Gave this place a shot, was not disappointed in the slightest. Had the bruschetta and garlic knots as appetizers with the main course of braised short ribs with risotto and chicken parm. Both far exceeded my expectations. Bruschetta stood out the most to me, it’s a must-have if you go! Noelani was a great waitress and checked in on us often. I will definitely be returning soon.

One of my favorite places in town and a go to place for a special occasion. I always find myself drawn back to the risottos paired with the bread and olive oil. The atmosphere is great and so is the service. It’s always nice to be able to see some of the kitchen and get a sense for how the food is cared for which is a staple at Nicola’s.

Delicious homemade pasta with any sauce, meat or fish. They work with you on any substitutions if you prefer a veggie in place of pasta. Save room for the coconut cake!!

Really enjoy the atmosphere at Nicola’s! Very family oriented but also great for a date night. Owners are wonderful and we always have great service from our waitresses. Sometimes we have to wait for a table but we are never rushed once we are seated and I appreciate that. I hate when other restaurants are obviously rushing you out just to turn the table over. Food is always good and we love the variety in the specials.

Nicolas is my favorite restaurant in Wilmington! Not only does Chef Nick make sure every dish is perfect but his wife and him work together like a well oiled machine. The food is outstanding and the servers are so knowledgeable and personable! I leave satisfied every time and always wanting more! In these unprecedented times, I would hope, people would be patient and understand what it takes to make a restaurant a success! Kudos to y’all!!
