If you love music and the history behind it, this is your stop. Our tour guide was very personal, informative and knowledgeable. There is monthly picking on the porch sessions in addition to other scheduled musical shows. We look forward to returning

This is a great experince. Erinn was a great tour guide full of information about the house, Bill's life and that of his wife. She took time to jam with me on the porch of Bill's home and I have pictures to prove it. Made my day, vacation and life. How cool of her to do that. God bless her and the museum. We plan on coming back in the second week of Sept. in the near future so I can try and top that by playing with the stars that show up for the festival that they have every year. If I Cant, oh well, I dont think anyone could do better than a bluegrass concert at the home of its creator. P.S. Rosine KY and the nearby towns have the nicest people I have met on this vacation which is 14 states so far. I am looking forward to seeing them again in a couple of years.

Great place. Look for the sign, it's a small road about 1.5 mile west of Rosine. A volunteer guide gave us a tour, very informative. The original house is completely restored. Beautiful setting in hills. Continue into Rosine town to cemetery where Mr Monroe is buried along with many of the Monroe ancestors.

Great place to stop by if you are in the area. Took my grandmother and it brought back a lot of good memories for her about the house she grew up in. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Nice place to visit not what I expected I guess I expected a big house but this was just a regular house which made it cool it's more work to see his house not too sure if it's worth going to see the museum but I enjoyed

Great tours history of bluegrass music from the father of bluegrass music. Well worth your time to see his home and visit where it all started from. The old barn jamboree next to slick backs barberque restaurant in rosine. The store where on one Friday night in 1991 4 musicians geathered together around an old stokedmatic stove and played music untill the late night hours in Hoyt and Eleanor's store. That's where the old barn jamboree started with a few musicians and a lot of hard work. It grew from 5 musicians to hundreds in a matter ok month. The old barn next door had to be remodeled a stage concession stand built bathrooms installed and concrete floors poured and insulated inside and boards on the outside of the barn replaced and water and electricity put in the barn and stove for winter.
