This hostel is the best that I have stayed in Japan. Travel is convenient, just 3-5 minutes walk from the minamisenju station, and the location is easy to find. Obviously the most economic, clean place in Tokyo. I like their shower room since they offer the conditioner, which is not provided in most hotel/hostel. Laundry only cost 200 yen for washer, 100 for dryer and 50 for the detergent. Nice stay!

Excellent value hostel for a trip to Japan. Reasonably close to a well-connected station, staff are very friendly and speak good English, price is very attractive, facilities are clean and more than sufficient. The main negatives I have are (for the private double room) that the room is a bit too small to store suitcases comfortably, and the noise isolation between rooms is not good, so bring earplugs. However, I think these are excusable for such a cheap location. I would recommend this as an excellent place to stay for a few days near the start of your holiday before you accumulate too many things!

Positives: Decent location, close to train station, and the room and shared facilities were clean. Overall, good value for money. Negatives: 1. The room was exceptionally small, which would have maybe been ok, if the space was made usable by wall hooks, etc. Instead, the usable space was taken up by a TV. The TV should not be there, not only because of the precious space it wastes, but because one of the (many) rules was that you had to make any phone calls on the ground level, because the walls are so thin. 2. You can hear everyone else on the floor, there is basically no privacy. If you are unlucky enough to be on the same floor as someone who is not very considerate, it will be very unpleasant, and the 'free earplugs' don't really make up for it. 3. No matter how long your stay is, there is no option to have your sheets cleaned. 4. There is no outlined way to dispose of rubbish. Frequently, rubbish bags were left around the lift for nearly 24 hours 5. The shower head is really oddly placed, and makes it awkward to shower 6. There are no mirrors in the rooms 7. The mattress is legitimately a 5cm thick piece of foam. It is very uncomfortable 8. The staff could be pretty rude To be honest, for a chain hostel brand, you would expect them to maybe invest in their facilities a bit more. The Osaka &and hostel was significantly different. Overall, not the worst, and I would stay there again because the price and location were pretty good.

This hostel is perfectly clean and 5 minutes from the metro which is very convenient! There is a supermarket and a Lawsons nearby as well as a lovely park. The beds are comfortable, the showers are excellent, and the customer service is friendly and helpful. My friend and I had an enjoyable stay here :)

location: the hostel is located very close to 3 train stations price: is really reasonable compared to other parts of the city facility: the shared kitchen is what we love most as AND HOSTEL provides all the necessary things from oil, seasoning, ketchup, bowls and chopsticks, other kitchenware. Its great for saving money as we can cook our own food. The bathroom is all brand new and clean, rooms are soundproofed

Great hotel - got the private room and it was a fantastic price close to the station and seems to be a new build - nice lounge and kitchen area for cooking and friendly staff. I stayed for 7 days and it was as relaxing as being at home. Decent service!

Great value for Money. They say you will save more money if booked on their official website. Bathroom is clean, area is quiet, free WiFi with good speed for streaming. 5min walk to the train station. Lawson and 7Eleven is also near by for the convenience.

Super comfortable rooms. Everything a hostel could need. In a convenient location for access anywhere around the city. The historic Asakusa area is within walking distance. When searching the rooms here were some of the best value across the city. Scored down as they charge a 200yen fee to keep bags at the hostel before an already late (16:00) check In and an additional 200yen to store bags on the day of departure if you want to explore the city on the last day. The first time we have encountered this fee at a accommodation in over 10 months travel.

When we put our luggage in the lobby this afternoon , the staff didn’t tell us the last check in is 23:00, when we got to the hostel was at like 12:30am, we are freezing outside, we got inside to the lobby because other guests here. We can understand we miss the last check in ( even we didn’t been told when we put the luggage this afternoon.) but what confuse us is why the hostel don’t tell us where is our luggage, we can’t find our luggage, that is not okay, we call the police, they can’t help us. We just wanted to know is this legal that the traveler couldn’t find their luggage in the hostel they paid for 5 nights? Is this legal? Is this okay the hostel didn’t tell the traveler when is the last check in time? Is this legal? Is this what the way you treat your customers?

I had a lovely stay here. The facility was very clean and quiet. The showers had hot water. It’s a good distance from city center but you can get to center by train easily. I enjoyed my time there.

Had an amazing stay here. Bathrooms are clean, beds are comfortable, and the management (Leah) went out of her way and beyond to make sure I had a great stay. Can’t wait to be back.

Great class for a hostel. The room and the share bathroom was clean. Staffs can speak english pretty well. Sound issue might be a problem but that depends on other guest, also they already put some rules for it.

Great place to stay in Tokyo- in close proximity to metro station, supermarkets. Rooms are small, but very clean. Toilets and showers also new and clean. The common area with comfy seats, great coffee and well equipped kitchen ( perfect for light cooking).

Friendly cute little hostel just next to Minami Senju station(very practical since there’s also a direct train line to and from Tokyo station). It’s a very practical hostel since it also offers private two/one ppl rooms. the walls are not very sound proof ,but the hostel provides ear plugs and anyways we didn’t have any issue with sleeping :)! The place is very clean and the vibe is friendly and international, also the staff is very young , available and speaks good English. Definitely recommended for a stay in Tokyo!

A great place among the hotels in Tokyo, very friendly staff, clean and luminous. We are traveling by bicycle and came the long way from Osaka and found ourselves in the best hands! Would definitely recommend it!

We stayed in a private room in &and in Osaka and had a very different experience. The rooms here are so small and you can hear everything. On 2/3 nights people were out and about getting ready for bed at 3am. The showers always have a waiting line because there is only one per floor for 8 rooms (per women or men). They ask not to turn on the hairdryer before 8am but no one listens and they don’t enforce it. 2/3 nights we were woken up with a hair dryer at 7am. The bathrooms and showers are not kept clean like in Osaka. The elevator is shared between 10 floors also leading to a waiting line. If you are okay with sleeping between 3am and 7am, you could make do. They also don’t give you towels for free even if you book a private room, which they include in Osaka. We are leaving very tired.

Great service from the front desk and kudos to Lea for speaking in English Fluently and administering us very well. We felt a warm welcome and a nice cozy feeling in the lobby. Very well recommended for its price point!

Great hostel, comfortable and plenty of amenities to make your own food. Tea and coffee provided. Aircon worked well, beds were comfortable. Only downside is they charge You for bag storage even if you are checking in that day which is a bit of a shame.

Nice but only for one night, the room barely fit the bed in so there’s no space to even open your backpack. They even charge you for towels.. And during the night and early in the morning the guests were slamming the doors, very badly designed. But staff are kind and polite that’s why I leave 3 stars. :)

You can get your own private room at a great price, 9 minute walk to the train station. Enough bathrooms/showers on each floor to never need to wait. Would stay again.

Very affordable hostel considering how central it is. We got a double room. The rooms are very essential, but still comfortable. The staff is friendly and accommodating. There's a coin laundry and you can leave your stuff in the lobby before you check in and after you check out. From here is only a short ride on the metro to Asakusa and Akihabara

We just booked for a stop over in Tokyo, we had a warm welcoming and the room was clean. The facilities are clean and all is provided. 6min from the subway. We definitely recommend this place

The staff speaks good English and the common area is really comfy. There's free coffee and tea all day long. The location is also good and the next train station is close by. It has everything you need for a good time in Tokyo.

Not a good area. Minami Senju is a really inconvenient station. If you have large luggage It’s a cumbersome trek to the hostel. Smaller than other “andhostels”. Much older and not as modern. Common area isn’t good. Air con didn’t heat the room well at all. Double room is just a futon on a wooden slab and not actually a bed, I usually don’t mind this but the futon was thin and I could feel the floor. Bedding too small for a tall guy, feet stuck out and I was cold. Don’t book rooms 6 or 7 in any floor, for example 806/ 807 as these are right next to the bathroom’s.

The service is nice, front desk staff is friendly and helpful, price is reasonable. I’ll choose this place again if I’ll visit Japan again.

Great hostel next to metro station. Modern, clean, friendly staff. It has a kitchen and comfortable open area. The budget room for 2 people is quite small, but the price is affordable for Tokyo.

I’ve been staying in this hostel around 1 week. The price is quite affordable, near the Minami Senju Station and konbini like lawson and seven eleven. It was clean and neat, they have mini pantry so you can cook your own meal, also you can do laundry here. The staffs are so helpful and nice.

The staffs were accommodating and speak English well. The location is great as well, I could reach many popular destinations easily. The shared bathroom was clean and I had no complaints regarding the availability. Checkout was also easy, since all I had to do was drop the key at the receptionist desk.

Pro's : Rooms are very clean with bright lights. Aircon worked fine. Sanitair is very well maintained and comfortable showers. WiFi strength and internet speeds are good. Personal is friendly. Hostel is located close to a metro station and grocery shop (5minute walk). We had the biggest 2 person room which was fine. Con's : kitchen and equipment is not sufficient for a 10 story hostel. Not enough kitchen equipment, extremely small fridge and just 2 stoves. Really frustrating if you like to make use of these facilities. The lounge is pretty small for a hostel this size. Rooms could be designed better to optimize the space for you luggage in a small space (for example space under the bed or extra wall rack etc).

This being the second &and hostel I've stayed at, I can say that checking in and receiving any support I need is easy and painless. The room was expected (slightly small), but can't complain considering the affordability of it. Overall has been great.

Just moments away from the Hibiya line this hostel is in a fantastic location. The staff upon arrival were super friendly and helpful with my queries. Double room was adequate and cosy. Showers were powerful and hot water with free soap, shampoo and conditioner. Plus there are free hairdryers, straighteners and coffee! A nice touch when thousands of miles away from home!

The hostel is cozy, convenient and brand new! Rooms are tiny but comfortable for resting. It has kitchen with needed equipment and lobby for guests to meet. The crew is awesome. BTW It's located near Jr station. I highly recommend this place!

Close to Miami Senjuu Station. This hostel private room is small, but comfortable bed and everywhere so maintained well and clean. I slept quite well. If you like to cook, there have kitchen so you can cook there. And also night time, go to supermarket around there, easy to find half price or 30%off price foods, so reasonable prices and tasty foods. Perfect place for budget traveller.

The double room is very small, not even two people can stand at the same time and there’s no space to put small luggage. Service is ok. As we are staying 5 nights (and we stayed in the hostel from the same chain in Osaka for 3 nights), we asked if we could have a better room, but they didn’t want to accommodate our request. We chose this hostel after having a very good experience in Osaka, but this one in Tokyo is very disappointing. (Lea)
