This mosque is one of the most famous mosques in Japan. But, this place is not only a place of praying for Muslims. This place the center of Turkish culture in Japan. So most Japanese people who come they enjoy the building, history and interior like visiting a tourist spot. There is a shop inside the building. Selling various items like prayer equipment, handicrafts from Turkey, and halal food or drinks. When you come to this place, there are many things you can do, praying (for Muslims), travel, shop. The Interesting fact, because of the beauty of this mosque, this place is the target of people to perform wedding ceremonies for Muslims who living in Japan. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this building. That`s makes you peace.

I am in awe and in love with this place. It’s my first time visiting and oh my it’s so beautiful. It’s serves as a mosque as well as a community centre, there’s a supermarket where you can get all kinds of halal foods, I wanted to get everything since there’s nothing like this in Hong Kong where I’m from. The cakes were so delicious. The prayer hall was spectacular, my heart was feeling overwhelmed looking at the beautiful architecture and feeling at peace in the prayer hall. When I thought it couldn’t get more beautiful, I found out there’s a spiral staircase that leads to the ladies area in the 2nd floor. Wow. You can overlook the first floor on top and it’s just absolutely stunning. The calligraphy and murals were amazing too. I could stay and just stare at them all day. I saw quite a lot of Japanese visiting the mosque as there’s books and information in Japanese, it’s lovely. Must visit!

This masjid is an amazing representation of Islamic tradition in general, especially associated with Turkish architecture style. It has large main prayer hall, available for all 5 times Salah and Friday/Jumuah congregation. You will find tranquility and peace of mind in the middle of vibrant Tokyo surrounding. Everyone (not only Muslim) are invited to visit this beautiful mosque. They offer best hospitality. Highly recommended to visit.

A beautiful mosque, about 5mins from Yoyogi-Uehara Subway Station. The mosque is open for 5-time routine prayer as well as for public visit. For praying, 1st floor is for men and 2nd floor is for women. For public visit, beware not to make noise or take picture during prayer times. Woman should enter with head cover (scarf). You can borrow on the spot, but better prepare in advance by yourself.

When this mosque was rebuilt, I was a master degree student at the University of Tokyo, not far from this mosque. Since then, frequented this mosque for hundred times. Managed to remember some new verses of Al Qur’an thanks to the recitation of this mosque’s Imams. Anytime I come to Tokyo, definitely I never miss this mosque.

(Translated by Google) I visited here because I couldn't go to my favorite Turkey because of the corona, but it was a beautiful mosque that reminded me of the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, although it was small! !! There were also several Turkish people, and Adhan also played before the prayer time. You can also buy Turkish raisins and olive products at the Halal shop. (The halal shop seems to be closed during the prayer time) I think women should bring a scarf to hide their hair! I didn't borrow it, but the number of rentals seemed to be limited, and it seemed to be reused. There is also a chai service on Turkish specialty dates ♪ There is no charge, but there was a donation box and everyone who visited was donated ^ --^ (Since it is a mosque, I don't think there will be a charge, but it is a wonderful mosque where you can set a flat rate.) If you like Turkey, of course, if you want to go to Turkey, or if you are interested in Turkey, please come visit us ☆ (Original)

in 2017 visited Japan and of course Jamia Masjid Tokyo or Tokyo Camii in Turkish. So glad to find this masjid and got to meet Japanese muslims as well as Palestinians, Syrians, Turkish worshippers. We got there around the time for Maghreb prayer and got the chance to join a reasonable size of congregation. Masjid is beautifully made with Turkish and Egyptian architectural elements. Masjid managment was very kind to answer our many questions. it is said to be the largest Masjid in Japan.

One stop centre for Muslims where prayer space is provided, combined with other facilities - library, rest area, dining space & a well stocked shop for halal food s. They even provide religious classes. On Friday, khutbah is delivered in Arabic, Turkish, Japanese & English. The only problem was wudhu area for ladies is at the ground floor, but prayer space on top floor

We all know turkies are experts when ut comes to mosques and the architect right? ❤️ what a beautiful mosque, never went ti Turkey, but it’s my wish to go there, but I’m happy atleast I have been in this mosque, very beautiful, well made, spacious, in such an expensive area of Tokyo, the Imaam is very humble, the place is very clean, also have a library, restaurant, art gallery, sitting area in basement, toilets and wudhu space, dates and water, the halal market, I have been here twice, but this time I enjoyed more, because there was a couple, the boy was pakistani🇵🇰❤️ and the girl was japanese, so she was reverting to islam, was such a wholesome experiemce, I was sitting on 2nd floor in women area, but cried my eyes out, it was my first time watching a revert muslim❤️ being converted, then they also got niqahfied, they had there classfellows there, it was a very nice small event, we clicked their photos too❤️

(Translated by Google) It was a wonderful mosque that made me think that it was Japan. There is also a halal market and a cafe where you can enjoy a little sightseeing. I felt that it was cheaper than imported foods in the market or major shops. (It's an individual impression) I envy people living in Yoyogi, even though it would be a supermarket option for everyday shopping if it was close. Although the location in Japan, the mosque's architecture is in Turkish Ottoman style. Various ornaments, equipment and materials used were imported from Turkey. This mosque reminded with the famous Blue Mosque in Istanbul, Turkey. It has three floors. The first floor is for Turkish cultural center and multipurpose room that can be used for various activities such as discussion and wedding ceremonies. The second floor is prayer for male and the third floor is prayer for female. This beautiful mosque is open to anyone who wants to visit as long as women tourists have to cover their hair with the hijab provided at the entrance of the mosque and for male tourists not to wear shorts To visit Camii Mosque, stop at Yoyogi-Uehara Station then walk to the east about ten minutes to get Camii Mosque.

Tranquil mosque with many people. I like people who are kind and polite. The mosque is in the heart of Shibuya, Tokyo, one of the most crowded area. There are many restaurants and chaykhanas which offer only HALAL FOODS. The price of food is also cheaper than other territories.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the mosque, and I must say, it left me in awe of its exquisite beauty. The intricate architecture, the peaceful ambiance, and the sense of spirituality that permeated the space made it a truly remarkable experience. As I ascended to the second floor, designated as the area for women and children, I anticipated a serene and safe environment where I could immerse myself in prayer and contemplation. However, there was one aspect that slightly detracted from the otherwise harmonious atmosphere. On busy days, particularly weekends and national holidays, I noticed men inadvertently venturing onto the second floor, disturbing the sanctity of our designated space. On a recent Friday during Golden Week, I found myself having to politely remind several men that the second floor was exclusively for women and children. While they were seemingly unaware of this, their presence made many of us feel uncomfortable and disrupted the tranquility we sought. To address this issue, I would like to suggest a potential solution. It would be beneficial if the mosque management could consider placing a prominent warning panel at the entrance of the second floor, specifically addressed to male visitors. This panel could kindly and clearly remind them that the area beyond it is a safe space exclusively for women and children, and their cooperation in respecting this boundary would be greatly appreciated. By implementing this measure, the mosque would effectively communicate the importance of maintaining the sanctity and privacy of the women's area. It would not only ensure that male visitors understand and adhere to the designated boundaries but also contribute to a more harmonious environment for all worshippers. Thank you to the mosque management for their efforts in maintaining such a remarkable place of worship, and I look forward to future visits. Sincerely, Salma

It is said to be the largest mosque in Japan, and is located along Inokashira-dori, a few minutes' walk from Yoyogi-Uehara Station on the Odakyu Line. Most of the materials used for the interior and exterior of the building were imported from Turkey and were finished by Turkish craftsmen. It is a facility that anyone can freely visit, especially the chapel on the 2nd floor. However, you need to be careful in advance as you must wear clothes with less exposed skin. Attended jumaat/jumuah prayer. Prayer starts at 1245 [dec2023] so arriving by 15 to 30min earlier would allow you to be in the mosque, else you would have to pray at the outside compound - so bring a prayer mat just to be safe. They do provide the big tarp/plastic mat as well. Khutbah in 4 language (Arabic, Turkish, Japanese, English ). They also provided printed copies or you can read it from your phone from their website. Female jumuah prayer is upper level. Beautiful, and extra calming mosque. Small snacks provided at lower level hall after prayer. Not sure if they held multiple prayer session

Assalamualaikum I've been regularly visited the mosque whenever I've chance to do it on my holiday from Sendai. Its a great mosque with marvelous architecture. However, today 17 November 2023, a holy Friday, it was my first time ever visit the mosque on early morning hope could do some shalat dhuha and only to find all the doors of the mosque was locked. Even though the wudhu location was opened. I knew if you could joined the Isya jamaah prayer even the first floor main door is locked since the turkey culture center and halal market already closed around 18 pm. But this? Why you guys locked up the main door on the early morning? This is a big disappointment. Are we not allowed to do sunnah pray? My friend who visited the Japan for the very first time, in the end was doing the shalat/prayer on the outside of the mosque. I've been tried to push the intercom button on the first floor but no answer at all. While it was cold outside and rain pouring, no jokes.

Beautiful mosque that gives you a feeling of home far away from home. Unfortunately I didn’t have the opportunity to interact with any fellow brothers who live in Japan. Some feedback for management: I wasn’t treated welcome by some brother with the name of Abdullah. That guy literally locked the door on me when I was looking into the visitor center area because it was closed at 6pm. If you don’t show hospitality and smile at fellow muslims in a place of worship what are you there for then?

This mosque is one of the most well-known in Japan. However, this location is more than just a place for Muslims to pray. This location is the epicenter of Turkish culture in Japan. As a result, most Japanese visitors enjoy the building's history and interior as if they were visiting a tourist attraction.The building contains a shop. Selling items such as prayer equipment, Turkish handicrafts, and halal food or drinks.
