A very horrible experience for the second time in row. We had ordered dal makhani, kadhai panner and assorted breads. Initially things were good but were shocked to see hair in dal makhani, so we had complained the manager who did not give any response and told it happens in resturant with few guests. We had then asked the manager to give the contact details of the owner so that we can once talk to them and understand what's the issue. But were surprised when manager told Punjab Grill doesn't have any owners and managers are only acting owners of the restaurant. After hearing that we left silently from the place and manager had no regrets for the mistake happened from their side. Very sad to know firstly that there is no owner for the restaurant and secondly how the manager treats guests is very bad. Will never ever recommed anyone to the restaurant. Only if one wants to spoil their evening can go there. Note: for reference have uploaded the pics of hair kept in side of plate.

A close attempt to distinguish themselves from food court food. They have some innovative dishes in their arsenal but the other usual items you find at any other Punjabi restaurants are average. Their mocktails were good. What stood out for us were the appetizers. I would recommend a quick dine in to rejuvenate yourselves for more mall fun.

Dinner date โœ… !!! aloo pyaz kulcha & paneer kulcha was served though off menu & aloo pyaz kulcha was woooww with their yummy sides . Tandoori sabji was good & sweet potato has to be specially mentioned ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹.. ambience & songs can be improved for a fine dine . Service was good & quick .

Anytime good place for peaceful lunch at phoenix. I have reduced one star since the biryani taste had come down which requires attention. Try the starters they are made tasty and soups are good too.

Good place for a family meal when you're visiting the mall. Less options for vegetarians but everything we ordered was really good. Very friendly and courteous staff. Little on the pricier end but worth it.

Food is excellent, less choices for veggies but each item in the menu is curated perfectly for all sorts of age at a little high price. Service is at par with other restaurants and the ambience is very good for indulgence. Overall worth the time!

Taste wise they are yummy. But what happens after you eat the food is a disaster. During a visit to Chennai recently, me and my family had their food. We fell sick soon after that. However, ignoring that, again we ordered their mutton dishes the next time we visited. Again the same repeated. All of us who had the mutton fell ill and got really bad food poison. I gave them a benefit of doubt the first time but now I am sure to stay away from them.

Been to Punjab Grill at Chennai twice and both times it has been very disappointing. Returned with a bad experience both times. First time it was the poor service and the second time it was poor quality food. Firstly, they served cold food. If that was not enough, I completely lost my appetite after I found hair in my food. Thought the manager and the people serving us there would take this matter seriously and do something about it but all they did was blame each other and not feel sorry for their mistake. Was surprised to see everyone there working without head caps. The manager was least bothered about what was happening. When we wanted to speak to the higher authorities, he refused to give us their contact details. Really Punjab Grill ? Is this the kind of hospitality you offer? This place definitely requires better staff who take their guests and their concerns seriously. Hope the management acts to improve on this soon but I for sure am not going back to this place to ruin my evening again and I don't think I'll recommend the restaurant to anyone either.

We had the veg buffet for 999/- thought it wasn't that worth it though.. any other restaurant it would have probably be worth 600 or so.. the food was gud though..

While crowds converge on malls quite often, it often feels like the parking is a maze or a merry go round. And then finding your way through the brightly lit distractions that seem to present themselves on every floor. Punjab Grill's signage is against a black background - which makes it a little harder to find. But it's right opposite the McDonald's in the Phoenix Mall in Velachery. That's a good way to locate it. We were looking for simple but solid Punjabi fare. And we could not have chosen better. Starting off with a dahi kebab. How do you convert yoghurt into a kebab? I don't have the faintest idea. But it works. Eat it quickly with the mint chutney dip and you'll discover that anything fried is yum. Including yoghurt. Then it was a mixed raita, tandoori rotis and martabaan de aloo - full potatoes in a mild but flavoured coating. A break from the paneer variations we usually choose. The food was good. And the rotis piping hot. The manager Neeraj was one of those who add an extra dash to an evening. By simply being pleasant and smiling with no effort at all. I wonder if we'd go to Punjab Grill a lot more often if we didn't have to combine it with a mall visit. Maybe. But if you're looking for an authentic experience, it's worth doing the slow dance around the unending stream of traffic

This place is really good and we really enjoyed the food. All the dishes were awesome but am giving them only three stars because the price is enormously high for the quantity they are serving. Their service is really good and the staff are very friendly. I would recommend this place if youโ€™re ready to spend big bucks.

The manager came and took an order. Since I told the first mutton biryani along with 2 chicken starters. We had starters and we're waiting for sometime till biryani comes. But I asked him why there was a delay, The manager said that I didn't order mutton biryani. He is rude as I can perceive from his appearance. He is a Tamil guy only, but shows partiality. In the image attached, he is appearing at the left hand side and wearing a blazer. Edit #1: the restaurant is adding a service charge on top of the total bill, as per Indian law, no restaurant should levy the service charge. After asking the waiter, he corrected the bill by excluding it. This is one kind of looting. Edit #2: Two weeks before went there again, starters were good. But when we ordered the mutton biryani, we got something like rice mixed with curry along with some pieces. Is this the way the big restaurant does their service? I'm sorry, I'll never turn up in this restaurant ever and shouldn't see the fake manager who wears blazer.

This is one of the popular eatery in Phoenix Mall. The resuturant is cozy. Generally the place is crowded, it's better to reserve in advance during peak hours. The restaurant has viberent decor. Infact even the plates they serve have custom logos on. In terms of menu they have good variety. You can always ask the waiter for recommandations. We did the same. Traditional taste, true to its legacy. Cost wise it's on the higher end. But the quantity is decent too. You get what you pay for. We had the chicken platter and it was yummm. The chicken biriyani was rich in spice but not spicy. They had enough chicken pieces and they were all tender. All in all a nice experience. Please note there are no dedicated washrooms or wash basin within the restaurant.

A Gastronomic Masterpiece - Punjab Grill Excels! Rating: โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ (5/5) I recently had the pleasure of dining at Punjab Grill, and I am compelled to share my exceptional experience with all of you. From the moment I stepped in, it was clear that this was no ordinary dining establishment. The ambiance was a perfect blend of warmth and elegance, setting the stage for an unforgettable culinary journey. The staff's attentiveness and genuine hospitality added a personal touch that elevated the entire experience. However, one individual stood out and truly made our visit remarkable โ€“ the restaurant manager, Mr. Eangals. Mr. Eangals's presence was felt throughout the restaurant. His impeccable ability to orchestrate the smooth flow of service while engaging with patrons was truly impressive. He exuded a passion for ensuring that each guest was not only satisfied but genuinely delighted. It's evident that his leadership has cultivated a team that takes immense pride in delivering excellence. The culinary voyage itself was nothing short of a masterpiece. The flavors danced on my palate with every bite, each dish crafted with finesse and authenticity. The menu boasted an array of dishes that captured the essence of Punjab's rich culinary heritage, yet presented with a modern flair. The standout moments of the evening were made even more memorable by Mr. Eangals's personal interactions. His recommendations showcased his deep understanding of the menu and his dedication to tailoring each guest's experience to their preferences. His genuine interest in ensuring our satisfaction was heartwarming and created a connection that went beyond a typical dining outing. In a world where dining experiences can often feel rushed and impersonal, Punjab Grill and its manager, Mr. Eangals, stand as a beacon of exceptional hospitality and culinary artistry. This isn't just a restaurant; it's a haven for food enthusiasts seeking an extraordinary experience. If you're searching for a place where every aspect of your evening is meticulously curated to perfection, look no further than Punjab Grill. And do keep an eye out for Mr. Eangals โ€“ his dedication and passion are the heart and soul of this culinary gem. Bravo, Punjab Grill, and a heartfelt salute to Mr. Eangals for making our visit nothing short of spectacular. This is an experience I will cherish and recommend wholeheartedly to all who seek the finest in dining

Delightful, this place is exceptional for someone craving north Indian delicacies. A must have is the palak patta chaat to kickstart your foodgasm. Also for drinks I'd recommend the cucumber cooler and the lassi is also good.

Classy place with good ambience and service. Food is excellent and will recommend the Malai tikka. Chicken shorba was bland for my palette but otherwise everything else was real good. Bit expensive but you can use dineout or Zomato for some discounts.

Visited this place for dinner. They have buffet too but it has very limited menu comparing to other BBQ buffet restaurants. We ordered mutton kebab, corn minced fry, roti, mix veg curry and mutton briyani. Corn minced fry was like grinded corn deep fried. It was good but not that worth to try. Mutton kebab was out of the world. Usually we get kebab as dry but here they serve with kebab coated with mild Masala, that Masala was so good and didn't spoil the kebab taste. Got 5 big pieces with bones which was the best part. I don't think we can taste such a kebab anywhere in regular restaurants in Chennai, it was perfectly marinated. Roti was ok not so great according to their standard and price. Mutton briyani was also okyish but it had many mutton pieces which were well cooked. Mix veg was good, no complaints on that. Best part was none of dishes were oily or so spicy. Overall a great experience with such a good ambience, pricey though. This place is not for the people who likes dishes with over the top masala.

We had non veg platter, mutton shorba, kulhad mutton and roti. All the items were tasty. Quantity of each dish sufficient for 2 persons. Price comes to around 1000 per person. Service and ambience was good. Authentic north indian restaurant. We had a very satisfactory dinner.

This restaurant is situated inside pheonix mall first floor opposite to McDonald's. First glance at the menu, you will understand that things are priceier than usual but the price did not justify the taste as it was pretty poor. The platters were okay and nothing too exciting about it. The pudhina chutney was meh and other than paneer platters, everything else was sub par. Paneer labadhar was bland and the briyani, well lets just say its miles away from being called briyani. There was hardly any desserts to try but the service was good. This is a posh menu, posh place but everything except the food was justifying the cost. I would suggest avoiding here if you are a pure vegetarian. Nothing much to explore in this palace of blandness.

I have been a Punjab Grill regular across multiple cities but this experience was very disappointing. We started with shorba and assorted kebab platter. Both of whic were good and the only positive things of the evening . Main course was a major let down with Paneer Lababdhar having a suspiciously bad taste of spoilt oil. Garlic naan did not have a hint of garlic and mix veg gravy was also mediocre. But the aspect more frustrating than the food was the service. We had to wait and signal multiple times to get everything though the crowd was very thin. The waiters were also not very trained in serving etiquette that come with such pricey restaurants. An exorbitant 10% service charge was also a shocker. Disappointing on all fronts. Hope the restaurant improves. I would not recommend for any group outings or special occasions.

  • 2/5 Nirav P. 10 months ago on Google
Food was pretty much flavourless so definitely doesn't justify the price. Rs 345 for a glass of butter milk is just too much even for a posh restaurant like this one, when the food quality/flavour doesn't come even close to a decent North Indian restaurant.

I visited Punjabi grill in Gurgaon, DLF cyber city. Had a great experience post COVID. But here in Pheonix Marketcity its a bitter experience. We have ordered Murg Dum Briyani. Murg was fresh and tender, Basmati rice was fresh. But its not briyani. They just heated the rice in pan and mixed with chicken pieces. How come they are selling it in the name of "murg dum briyani". For this rate we can get authentic briyani bucket for 4 people in Chennai. You can increase the rate guys but atleast try act you are providing such level of quality in food.

I went with my family on new year eve 2022 . Kind of an regular customer whenever I come Phoenix. I was totally disappointed because the smoke from the kitchen is all over the place and it wasn't pleasant .the manager is only concentrating on online orders and our food was too much delayed . I ordered malai kufta the gravy was bad . Kind of cream with sugar like I felt. Whe I used to come earlier chicken will be outstanding but this time it was very average. Overall it was bad experience. Please concentrate on customer who are dinning in .

The vibe of this place is so good. Decent, rich, and mild music in the background โ™ฅ๏ธ after seeing the menu I felt bit off because the prices are bit higher. Ordered food, and in few minutes my food is on the table. It looked delicious, smelled delicious. After tasting it I went ummmmmmmmmm, it's worth every penny I paid. The quantity is also amazing ๐Ÿ’ฅ These people have a good knowledge about the sequence of dishes, what to eat after what. It's like a cherry on the cake. Worth a visit. Good for: Family/Couple/Friends/Alone too Price: Decent and it's worth it Taste: 10/10
