I grew up as a child active in my community YMCA back in the 80ā€™s. It was the place all the kids went after school and in the summer. The programs were fun and the sports helped keep us busy and out of trouble. The YMCA of today (for some reason) has changed for the worse since then. And itā€™s not just this location as Iā€™ve been to several of the metro Yā€™s. This location in particular is run down and in need of repair. Not only is the YMCA funded through donations but they also receive federal funding which makes me wonder whereā€™s the money going? My kids have attended the summer camp for the last 6 years and Iā€™ve had multiple issues with the camp counselors and their lack of professionalism and training. The camp director (the only grown adult) is there in the morning at drop off, leaves during the day, and then comes back just in time for the parents to pickup the kids, leaving the kids with a bunch of 18 year olds. Thankfully, my kids wonā€™t be going back next summer. My other issue is the basketball court at this location is constantly taken over by teenagers and the younger kids arenā€™t able to play. The YMCA needs better oversight and better management because there may come a day when people stop funding them and go elsewhere.

Today i called to pay by membership when a individual by the name Emani 'Membership lead' became rude and unhelpful while attempting to locate my family membership ; when unsuccessful she stated they had a system upgrade and some memberships did not merge , she began to over talk me an express how irritated she was ; as I'm express my concerns regarding the lost membership and asking for additional assistance ; she quickly ended the call without any attempt to resolve this matter or offer further assistance. I will NOT re enroll to this facility or recommend.

Great gymā€¦ BUT. The hours SUCK how can a gym only be open 9-4 on Saturdays and like 1-5 on Sunday? They even close an hour earlier on Friday. I just feel like itā€™s unfair to people playing 20+ dollars a month. I used to work here the employees only make minimum wage so I feel like you really canā€™t be losing that much to stay open. Other than that itā€™s a great gym Iā€™d be giving it 5 if it werenā€™t for the hours.

Worse daycare ever. Do not send your child here to summer camp, they treat the children bad. Also they do not watch them and everyone is as young as the kids that work there. They watch movies all day and donā€™t feed the kids what you send with them. My childā€™s shirt was ripped around the neck and he said a teacher did it. I am waiting to hear back from corporate but Whitney Claybrook did nothing about it. No security there and they let my child go with someone who wasnā€™t on the list, as well as didnā€™t check their ID. I wouldnt send my Dog here. Worse place ever for the price. Management needs to come in and take control

Two days in a row we scheduled for our baby swimming classes and they both got canceled. But we were never notified. We asked if there was email out we were told we need to download an app to get email, we were never told about the app before hand. We prepared and excited for the class then went home empty handed. Update: so after 2 times of cancelling due to lightning, today they canceled 3rd time due to plumbing issue at 630pm (class at 645pm) T___T

i came here for swimming and found the pool to small, its not 25-yard pool and there's no diving block. the bathrooms were clean, but the showers could use some touching up.

I love YMCA but this unit offers the worst custom service I've ever seen.

The gym itself is fine but donā€™t sign up if child watch is the amenity you need. They only staff one person in the room and several evenings per week they are full and can not watch your child. Director says itā€™s a lack of staffing but every evening, the rest of the staff just congregates at the front desk laughing and looking at their phones. They suggest to call first but that doesnā€™t work either because the desk person doesnā€™t always actually go check to see if the room is full, causing yet another wasted trip to hear ā€œsorryā€. So just know you will basically be paying a more expensive monthly fee for a gym without child care. My wife and I have had to stop going to the gym together because of the hassle of it.

This gym is great but you will deal with the worst membership front desk staff ever!! ! Rheanna ( front desk lady) will offer you the worst customer service youā€™ll ever see ! She will call the police on you and you kids just to scare you because she believes she have more rights than you. This unqualified young lady traumatized my kids for calling the police on us while we have all the rights to be at the gym like anybody else! She has no clue on how to read the policies on the board and how to treat members not the resolve an issue. She will raise her voice at you and will call you Ā«Ā  stupidĀ Ā» just because she gets upset at you when you would want to talk to her supervisorā€¦ Management has never done anything to resolve the issue since sheā€™s still working there !!! I was faced with racial discrimination and she threatened my family just because she believes she has more power than me. Where are the YMCA values? What is she asking about my race ? Why did you employee Rheanna had to ask the members if I was Hispanic or not ? Whatā€™s the point of relevance ? Why did she call the police on us while my kids had the right to be with me on the elliptical ? Why she didnā€™t wan to call her supervisor on the speaker so I could talk to her ? Are we a danger for her ? I feel like ma y questions were not answered yet. This is a serious concern!

QR Codes earlier with at any location. I have the brightness all the way up. What's the harm in trying it a few times too? It's hard to keep track of tiny cards from other locations. Help me understand needing to apply for tax exempt & military discounts for my wife & I, only at my starting location in Tulsa. Why wouldn't each location be more uniform to turn in for discounts & be able to use QR Codes?

I'm changing my review. Someone reached out about the issues the lifeguards were having and addressed them with the staff (per the email I received). The pool area is great like it was before and I'm happy that kids can swim again : )

Daycare area is filthy. Carpet is black, toys are dirty, no area for infants so toys are thrown all over the place around babies. They have new staff all the time..donā€™t recommend at all.

If childcare closes at 12 pm and I show up at 11:59 am, I should still be able to to drop my children off.

šŸ‘šŸ‘ Josh, Jamie and Nathaniel are top notch trainers! 10/10 recommend. Me and my girlfriend have had 2 sessions so far. We are for sure feeling the soreness but it feels good. Those 3 guys have us super motivated to reach our goals because they are just as excited as us. The gym can be intimidating but...

šŸ‘ Itā€™s a little run down compared to most locations. I donā€™t know what it is, but it always feels gloomy inside even when itā€™s sunny outside. The mood is just off. On a more positive note, Planet Fitness is a great place to have a membership with. They offer two types of memberships. The Basic and the...
