If you want to wait an hour for an ok burger when there's only 4 other people in the whole place, sure go to Nic's. I'd go across the street and eat at the Garage instead. I won't be back. Either have a notice saying minimum 40 minute wait to be served or just bring the food out as it's done since the cooks can't figure out how to make more than 1 item at a time. By the time the fries were done the burger was cold. Ridiculous.

1 server, she had to do everything, take care of 8-9 tables and seat people. Hell I think she had to prepare the food as well! We received our burgers 45 minutes later. No joke. Wasn't her fault. I expected better. This isn't our first time there but it was our longest slowest experience there. Other customers were upset. It's not unreasonable to expect better service. Food was good but not good enough to overlook the wait times especially during lunch hours. Management or the Owners get it together.

We have been trying to get to the grill location. But, never manage to make it on time. Today we decided to try Nic's place. Reading the comments may make you want to sway away. Do not do it!! Go in for that lunch. But, be prepared. Yes it does take time to be seated. Yes it does take time to get your meal. Sabrina was our server. The only server upstairs. Once we were seated. It was all up hill. The burgers were some of the best I've had. They are juicy and cooked to your perfered temperature. I like mine well done. So I expected a 15 minute wait to get my meal. The fries were super hot and fresh. The only problem is the parking. But, we got lucky enough to park in there lot. There are maybe 6 spots. We were there at 1:30 this maybe the perfect time to enjoy this awesome spot.

We got the 9oz original burgers. Fries and onion rings. Plus a side of ranch. The burger was huge and absolutely delicious. Onion rings and fries dipped in the ranch was fabulous. Got the order to go and everything was done correctly. Highly recommend and will be back soon!

I've been going to Nic's (mustard, cheese and everything?) for 20 years and have gone to Nic's Place several times since it opened, always at night. Today I took my family there for lunch at about 12:20. There were 4 other tables with people in them. The waitress took our drink order then waited about 15 minutes to take our food order. That was fine I guess. 20 minutes after that a different person refilled our drinks. 20 minutes after that we still hadn't received our appetizer and hadn't talked to our waitress since we ordered. Someone from the table beside ours started walking around trying to find the waitress for their appetizers. They were there before us. We ended up leaving and so did 2 other tables who also gave up. If there are problems with staffing or whatever that is fine, but tell us don't ignore us. I hate having to leave this review because Nic makes my favorite burger. I find it hard to believe he is aware of the bad service.

Delicious burger and beer fries. Also great espresso martinis. Service was a tad slow because there was only one bartender for half the night. Live jazz every now and then. Sat in the lounge and thought the atmosphere was perfect for date night or casual drinks in a dimly lit environment. Really like the speak easy vibe. Would return again!

Meal we had at nicks was really really good of the four of us three got hamburgers and they were cooked perfectly. The french fries were awesome and the side salad with raspberry vinaigrette was great too. One got shrimp with asparagus side and she said it was season well and she enjoyed it, we got some fried pickles and the deviled eggs and both were good. The burgers were so big. It was hard to get your mouth around them. The staff were so friendly, so polite, so nice better than I’ve experienced in many of place. We were shown downstairs to sit for dinner, and it was cozy and comfortable. I do not recommend sitting in the line of the air vent because it got quite cold on the air turned on, but when approached the staff made the problem go away. I cannot see anything wrong with this place the prices are reasonable service was excellent lighting was good noise level was good. Cleanliness was good, the timing of the food could’ve been better. It was a little slow and there weren’t that many tables but when the meal came out perfectly, you know they took their time to get it right.

Less than impressed. We started with a very late arrival of our drink. Then when we ordered our food and half of the menu that was in front of us β€œwas no longer available β€œ so we order, then get the salads, which were gross! Old lettuce and tomatoes that were soft from being outdated. Then the food, not great either. Additionally the waitress with bright red hair was irritated and saying cuss words under her breath but loud enough for us and our kids to hear as she walked by. Very disappointing. We paid $100+ for 4 people and will not be back.

The first time I dined here was right after opening. We expected something similar to the original Nic’s Grill but there was no comparison. The food was no bad, but the atmosphere and service was so pompous and arrogant. Allergic to an ingredient and want it excluded from the burger. Sorry! The β€œchef” did not allow alterations to his menu items. Please. This many years later and my second trip, still no comparison to the original. Friday at noon my party was the only one dining there. Now the bar downstairs was busier, but no one was in the restaurant. That should have told us plenty. Regardless of the lack of demand it still took approx 35 minutes to receive our food. The burgers were atrocious. Misshapen, baseball-like unseasoned patties cooked until they barely resembled beef. The bun was just this side of stale and crumbled completely. Also not toasted or flavored in any way. The fried onions were chopped into huge chunks. It was difficult to choke down. There was one server present and she was apathetic at best. The stool I was seated on pretty much fell apart and sent me almost to the ground. We discovered two of the legs were not connected. Huh. And to add insult to injury, the music playing was so strange. I have no idea what vibe they were going for with slow Lionel Richie and Phil Collins and similar dudes of the 80s playing. One of my companions said it was like a depressed Boomer was choosing the playlist. There will not be a return trip and you can be certain we promptly relayed our experience to the entire office.

The Thanksgiving meal has been great in past years but this year was not the best experience. We waited almost an hour to eat with no appetizers or anything. The booths were covered in food sauce and crumbs I realized too late I was sitting in with a nice dress on. They also didn't have hot tea or coffee available to serve us for some reason. I feel bad for the short staff and bartender downstairs who were trying their best and the actual meal was good when we got it. We did try to be as understanding as we could. Also the music was this new country station which seemed like an odd choice for Thanksgiving. We sat at our table looking at a ball of butter with nothing to put it on for nearly an hour. The whole experience was so bizarre. A Thanksgiving meal shouldn't have been offered this year as they were not prepared.

We were greeted with a warm smile as we walked in. Great atmosphere. We had fried pickles and cheese dip, it was outstanding. The burgers was cooked to perfection, juicy and fresh tomatoes. Denice was amazing.

Waited much to long for the server to take our order even though they were not busy. Took much too long to get our order and when we got it, it was either wrong or cold. I had Nic's signature burger which was difficult to eat (fell apart) and tasted average at best. I sure wouldn't put my name on that burger. I also ordered onion rings and they were cold. Yuck! My husband ordered a bacon cheeseburger with tomato and mayo only and it came with no mayo and lettuce and the bacon seemed old. He also ordered fries but they brought onion rings. She brought him fries but they weren't fresh. We were overcharged for the onion rings we didn't order. A bad dining experience all around! We came here one other time soon after they opened and were underwhelmed so we thought we'd give them another try. There were all not be a third try.

The hospitality was incredible! We came in, ordered drinks and while looking at the menu were told they had just served the last of their chicken. Since my daughter doesn't eat red meat and there was nothing else on the menu she could eat we had to leave but our server was wonderful about it. We were in from out of town so she gave us recommendations for other restaurants and didn't even charge us for our drinks. We left her a tip anyway. Next time I'm in Oklahoma City I will definitely be going back! We were really impressed by how well we were treated even though we weren't able to dine there. They should be proud of their people!

Nothing like the original place or even the downtown joint like when it first opened. I'll still always say Nic makes the best burger on Earth. Need to spend some time downtown though..

Really nice little restaurant the hearted downtown they were open late we got there after a Thunder game probably 30 minutes before closing but they were very accommodating and took care of me and my partner and made sure that we had drinks and everything was fresh 10 out of 10 would recommend.

I got the original with onion rings. The burger is big but very tender and manageable. There's also a smaller version of the original that works better for smaller hands/stomachs. We got the cobbler as dessert and was very surprised at how big it was. Felt like it was the whole pie 🀣 Overall the dining experience was excellent. I've been here multiple times and each time was great! I love the downstairs lounge. The service is always top notch. A+++++ to the staff and management

Sat downstairs in the lounge to listen to the jazz and I am really glad I did. The atmosphere really lends itself to having a chill time, which is what we were looking for. I had a burger and fries, and it was good. The prices are in line with what you would get at a comparable restaurant. I sat at the bar and the bartender was cool but was spread thin across the whole floor. He kept saying that he’s the only one working but if you look at other reviews, they have mentioned the same thing. You would think that they would fix this. Regardless this didn’t have an effect on my visit. Overall, a great experience.

Great burgers. Appetizers were good, fast. Arrived before the lunch crowd. One very attentive server but was swamped once lunch crowd came in.

I've been coming to this location since he opened it a few years ago and it's a nice place to relax in, as well as grab some good food. Nothing will ever top the original location and it's taste, but Nic definitely put his stamp on this place and the expectation of what he wants served, so you're still getting that Nic style with your burger. The staff has always been friendly, tables are clean and you don't wait forever for your food, so these are a few reasons I continue to eat here. Price wise, it's a little more than the original place, but you're in that Midtown area, so it's understandable. If you've never been here, try it.....it's worth it.

The food was amazing as always. This was our 1st time to visit this location & there were 5 of us on our lunch hour. The waitress seemed slow & in no hurry to bring anything. One of the guys that was with us had to wait even longer to get his food. We were there for almost 2 hours on our 1 hour lunch. Need experienced waiters & the cook needs help.

I wish I could rate higher but as good as it was, it just didn't feel worth the price. The burgers are juicy and delicious but the buns quickly crumble from sogginess. I'd rather not pay a little more than I'd like for food that won't let me savor it. Atmosphere was great. It was chill and the music was nice BUT it was hard to hold a conversation because the volume fluctuated sometimes. I'm not opposed to going back because I really like the relaxed atmosphere.
