This place is a hidden gem. All ingredients are local, the menu changes seasonally and the quality of food is impeccable. My favorite spot in the city. I love knowing where my meal comes from, ESPECIALLY dining out at an establishment. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place. Love love love!!

As usual I ordered online. Arrived 30 minutes later, as per my receipt said. Was told online orders dont get placed til you arrive. Wow! So what's the purpose of having an on line order option. Nevertheless placed order at 6:30. Arrived at 7. Asked to just cancel order.. Staff didn't know how to do that.. So I waited. Received food (lol) at 7:40. I have only and always gotten the Gluten free strip. This time I got 3 very small pieces of chicken and cold fries. So disappointing, after loving it every other times.. Not sure I'll go back..

Food was great! I had the bison fried steak, and have also have the burger previously, and both were solid. The drinks were good too! Service used to be slow, but it has become really good. Fingerling app was good too. My wife really thought the GF buns were better than most.

Went here for brunch with friends and loved it! It’s a quaint little place with a beautiful interior. I got a pomegranate mimosa (yum!) and the BLT - added both the E and the M (egg and mushroom). I had to eat it with a knife and fork and could only finish half, but it was SO good. Everyone else also enjoyed their meals. I would love to come back here for brunch!

Decor is really cool. I like the ceiling lights they use. Service was good. We were seated fairly quickly and we were checked on regularly. Food was the best part. I got the Rooster burger and it was phenomenal. I also got the fries with the pimento cheese and it was almost as good as the burger. Almost. Overall a great experience and I hope to come back soon.

Loved red rooster! I got the fried chicken sandwich and it was so delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful, and the vibes were sweet. Great experience!

The trout dip, served with homemade potato chips, is reason enough to come in anytime! Add in a cocktail, glass of wine, or a refreshing cold beer and you have yourself an experience. Great place for an intimate date night, or dinner with friends and family. I have also had the niçoise salad that was a marvelous escape from this summer heat.

Not sure what the major malfunction was last night, but it did take 25 minutes to get an extra water glass. We asked 3 different people for a total of 4 times. The cocktails were lacking and the checks came out wrong. The bright notes were the house chips, the chicken fried bison, and the dessert that forgot to get a photo of. Espresso ice cream on bread pudding. Maybe go on a night that isn’t first Friday art walk. Enjoy!

My husband and I had the pleasure of dining here today. I am celiac and chose this establishment due to reading all of the wonderful reviews online. The gluten-free options are many and the food is absolutely delicious. The atmosphere, service, and presentation warrant a solid 10. I must say that this was the best dining experience I have had in years. If you haven't been - you are missing out.

Upon first impressions, the restaurant is a smaller, more intimate setting, so voices carry and echo all over the room. Not too much of a problem. The trout dip was pretty good, and I liked their sea salt chips. Being gluten free and not being able to enjoy fish and chips in a restaurant for well over two years, I was excited to try it after seeing other raving reviews. I LOVED the fish! The thinly sliced potato "chips" left something to be desired. They weren't at all crispy. My mom really liked their current seasonal dessert, something with lemon and orange in it. I tried their gluten free strawberry lemonade sorbet and liked that, too. It has a fresh, natural strawberry tartness to it, like they made it there in the restaurant. If they do, props to them. We spent almost $90 just my mom and myself, but I'm sure we will be back to try something else!

Went here with my family and from start to finish this was the best restaurant experience we have ever had! There was a small wait time but the hostesses kept us updated the whole time! Once we were sat our service was AMAZING!! Our drinks were never empty and our food was incredible! Highly recommend the Pasta Special and the Donut Bread Pudding for dessert!!! Can’t wait to come back!!

Tasty food. Cool booze menu and they have a slide across ladder to get to the top shelf booze. Online brunch menu says the whole bottle of champagne for mimosas is 23. It's actually 34. Welcome to inflation. Service is 💯. I'll be back.

Phenomenal food. Tried all the appetizers, Masa cakes were my favorite. Absolutely recommend for date nights and happy hours. Old fashioned is PERFECT. Della was the sweetest server.

I recently tried red rooster for the first time and enjoyed it! I decided to have a few friends join me for my birthday dinner last month, unfortunately you can’t hear anything, we say in a large booth but could not hear each other from across the table because it was so echoey and loud, there was nothing to absorb the sound. The vegan pasta was absolutely amazing! The drinks were awesome and everyone in my party enjoyed their food. The service was alright, We were a little disappointed, had it been better we would have had more than one drink while waiting to be sat and one with dinner. The atmosphere was great, and I would like to return but would prefer to sit at the bar or patio!

I’m writing this as I am finishing up our meal and I really really really wanted to like this place; however sadly not the case. They were out of items on the menu (we didn’t know until we tried to order it) our meal came mixed up and appetizers forgotten. The poor gal who was serving us said it was her first week and I felt sad for her because the kitchen really really let her down. Update: the manager did the right thing when we brought it to her attention. I’d love to come back and give it another shot.

Have heard amazing things about their gluten free items, especially the chicken sandwich and the fish and chips. Finally was able to be in the area when they were open and decided to take the family. We were the only ones there eating at the tables, there were a few guys at the bar but the place was not busy at all. I informed the person who seated us as well as the woman who was our waitress and the man she had "shadowing" her as she mentioned when she introduced him, that I wanted the gf chicken sandwich and my husband ordered the gf fish and chips so we could try each others. EVERYONE was very much aware I needed gf as I have a severe reaction due to celiac disease. When it arrived, I stupidly assumed they made it gf and took about 3 bites as well as tried my husband's fish before I realized my bun looked the same as the bun on my kid's hamburgers! They didn't bring the fries with my kid's burgers either so we had to ask about that. When he came by the table I asked if he could double check this was gf. He acted annoyed but said he would. I watched as he hung out in the front area before finally making his way to the back. Finally the waitress comes back with the fries for my kids and says, "yeah, sorry, that's actually not gluten free. It's his first day and he put it in the computer wrong!"........I was floored to say the least! The fact that they let a guy put things in the computer on the first day, without double checking him was inexcusable, especially when they were so slow there as it is! She was kind and very sorry, she comped my meal and our drinks but it was still $75.00 for me to be sick for a week! Yes, a week! Celiacs beware!

We had such an amazing time. We ordered dinner, dessert, wine, cocktails. We were dying to try it all and it far exceeded my expectations! Location in the paseo district was perfect! The staff was nice phenomenal and the entire family lace was elegant and cozy. We will absolutely be back.

the fingerlings were so good 😭 i think the seasonal menu is worth coming back for in and of itself. i saw tons of beautiful small-batch looking menu items coming from the kitchen! some of my other favorite aspects: hearty portion sizes, food came out in really good time, loved the waitstaff, the bar is beautiful, and a large selection of interesting cocktails too!

I love the Red Rooster. Their food is great, and also reasonably priced for the setting. It's one of my old favorite dive bars in the Paseo turned into one of my favorite restaurants. Everything here is fantastic. The cocktails are great, as is the food. It's somehow both modern and quaint at the same time. I highly recommend Jared, he's always on point with service and knowledge. I cannot emphasize how much I recommend The Red Rooster.

Really good dinner for three. The guys had shrimp and grits with blue cheese, outstanding. Our lady friend had the veggie burger. Then topped it off with doughnut bread pudding with coffee ice cream, one of us had peanut butter ice cream banana split. Good friendly service.

Went with the fam, including a 4 &6 yr old. We all enjoyed the food. We shared family style: burger, fish n chips, m-blt, wings 🤤 green goddess (only thing I got a pic of) and finished with donut bread pudding with subbed brown butter ice cream with candy pecans. It was all good. Kids loved the wings, smoked then fried and sauced. Fish n chips, perfect texture. Piping hot. Burger was great. M-blt was really good texture with bread. Green goddess was non traditional version but I love how they use mushrooms for various options throughout the menu. The donut bread pudding....... to die for. Go. Eat. Enjoy.

Me and my mama went here because we are both gluten free. The menu has a lot of tasty options. It was a bit noisy but we were also sat right next to the bar. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. We went for dinner but I really want to go back for brunch!!

The BEST restaurant experience I’ve had in a long time! Staff and Management we’re friendly and helpful. Food was top-notch. We ordered the house lemonade (excellent), pimento cheese (perfectly balanced with the right amount of heat) and tasty crostini, the fried chicken sandwich (best I’ve ever had - breading is light and crisp, flavors on point, and bun was expertly made!), the house salad (wonderfully done) and finished with a stellar not-too-sweet peach cobbler/vanilla-earl grey ice cream. Aesthetics of the place are lovely; little rustic, but classy and comfortable still. Seriously, can’t say enough about the quality of food at The Red Rooster; they have a list of local farms and producers they source from! This place knows what good food tastes like.

Fred rooster was great! We went and happy hour and got discounts on both of our drinks and the fingerlings for pretty good prices. The chicken pot pie was amazing and the apple trifle was to die for. Service was amazing. Food came out quick and they brought the card swiper to the table
