Iron Star Urban BBQ is extremely delicious. I got the Wednesday special: baked potato, slice brisket, pimento cheese, red chili sour cream, mild BBQ, and onion rings. It was without a doubt one of the best pieces of BBQ I've ever eaten. Andre, the bartender, was so friendly, kind, and made the experience awesome.

Came here for lunch with the work crew and we had a great time. The staff was friendly and the service was fast. The place was pretty full too which made me think that it'd take some time to get in and out but would definitely recommend coming here weekday or weekend for some pretty good bbq.

Really enjoyed this app combo plate for lunch. The brisket and sausage were really good. The baby back ribs were also pretty good, a tad dry but nice bark on them. The cornbread with jalapeno butter was a nice finish. I recommend this spot in okc

It's been quite a while since I've had cornbread this good. It even has a twist with a tomatillo salsa! The sausages were all delicious and the sides were all good as well. Good flavor all around. The rarity of the cornbread just hit harder and is worth noting. I didn't finish them all and took them home for later. Good stuff.

I've been coming to Iron Star for years...and I have NEVER had a bad meal or service there!!! The atmosphere was amazing. Their playlist they had going was stellar...nothing but bangers. Mack, our server, was right on w/ our service. And the food...OMGaga...that food...ribs & brisket was tender, deviled eggs are always a choice, & the sides we delicious. Literally nothing besides bones where left on our plates. Highly recommend.

This was my first time eating at this establishment. The food was absolutely fantastic!! The atmosphere was nice. It seems high class. The service was extremely excellent. They constantly come check on you to see if you need more to drink or want to order something else. They very polite and respectful. I plan to eat here again. They were quite busy when we ate there. They also have a banquet room, I would assume you could book for an event.

We got the rib dinners with fried okra, sweet potatoes, corn in cream sauce and bread pudding for dessert. Most BBQ places have really bad sides but not iron star. That fried Okra was So good and the bread pudding was fantastic. The ribs were tender and delicious and the service was fantastic. I'd say they need more smoke on their ribs. There were no "burnt ends" or glazed meat it was all consistent and maybe a tiny bit dry but I'd definitely go again just to get fried okra

Good upscale BBQ with a full bar and friendly staff. Sausage trio was great as was the whole fried okra. Ribs were tender but just warm which was a little disappointing as everything else was hot.

Very refreshing menu and atmosphere parking is a tad small, but then that changes as you walk in to see a very family and pride friendly barn rustic space. Staff is a little understaffed but very eager to serve food. Iron star urban has great BBQ and the cocktails are recommended...

Loved my beef brisket sandwich topped with southwest slaw. The fries were so good! My meal had pickle slices that were a little bit sweet, a little bit sour and spicy. Great accompaniment to my sandwich.. Beautiful interior with a unique hammered copper bar. They were observing social distancing and had a mask protocol in place.

Final got here. Typical upscale urban bbq approach with a lot of space for groups! Excellent textured ribs and beef brisket! Sausage trio was solid too. Sides - fried okra was whole - interesting approach. Sweet potato side was solid. Dessert - chocolate chip bread pudding to go very solid.

What a great place. I was seated immediately. The service was good and quick. I ordered the St Louis rib combo with smoked turkey. My sides were collards, sweet potato mash, and potato salad. The meats were really good. The collards were a bit sour. I could have used more vinegar or other seasoning for that, but it was still OK. The place was Nicky lit. The music choice was great. The vibe was excellent. I enjoyed my visit and so will you. This place was really nice. I recommend

Nice atmosphere, Robbie my server/bartender was the bestest! Took my order, got it right and my food came out quickly. I got the 2 meat plate with ribs and brisket. 2 slices of brisket and 3 ribs (could have had another slice of brisket, mainly because it was good) along with Mac & cheese with BBQ beans. The beans had a little spice on the back end but it was not overwhelming. Odd silverware but better than using your hands. Great tunes, awesome staff, kinda bougie but not enough that I had to put my pinky up. 😂 Will definitely visit again without hesitation.

My favorite smoked chicken and fried okra is still as good as when I first had it about 15 years ago. And because we don't have a chance to go often, it's even better. The BBQ club with fries is also wonderful and plenty filling. I always have leftovers from the 1/2 smoked chicken. The service was great- our server was attentive and polite.

Iron Star BBQ is a haven for barbecue enthusiasts, offering a delectable fusion of Southern flavors and rustic charm. Nestled in a refurbished 1920s-era building, the restaurant effortlessly combines a cozy ambiance with a menu that pays homage to traditional BBQ while adding its own modern twists. The star of Iron Star BBQ is undoubtedly the meat—smoked to perfection, tender, and bursting with rich flavors. Whether it's the succulent brisket, melt-in-your-mouth ribs, or the mouthwatering pulled pork, each dish showcases the artistry of slow-cooked barbecue. Accompanying sauces and sides complement the meat beautifully, providing a balanced palette of tastes. The rustic décor, complete with exposed brick walls and wooden accents, creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for gatherings with friends and family. The staff's friendly and attentive service adds to the overall positive dining experience. While the focus is on carnivorous delights, Iron Star BBQ does cater to vegetarian diners with a modest selection of meatless options. The beverage menu, though not extensive, offers a good variety of drinks to pair with the barbecue feast. In conclusion, Iron Star BBQ stands out as a must-visit for barbecue aficionados. Its harmonious blend of traditional flavors, cozy setting, and attentive service make it a top contender for anyone seeking an authentic and satisfying BBQ experience.

The beef brisket was wonderful. Corn bread was well made. The ribs were not bad and didn't pull off the bone. They were just ordinary without their BBQ sauce. The Mac and cheese was very good. Service was OK. Our server seemed very distracted and couldn't answer the basic question of what is their specialty. Then when I rephrased and asked what is their best food then he was able to answer. It was a bit loud.

We got the sampler app, and everything else with potato salad, green beans and Mac & cheese. Ribs were great, brisket was good... really enjoyed the sausage and BBQ sauce. BBQ sauce was the best we ever had. Hopefully they can bottle it up. Cornbread was delicious but a bit dry for my taste. All the sides were great.

We stumbled upon Iron Star after attempting to go to another BBQ restaurant that ended up being closed. This was one of those times we were unexpectedly very pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere was very chill and quiet but with low key good tunes playing, the service was perfect and friendly and the food was amazing. We had the smoked chicken which can be hard to find and the sides with it were all amazing. Prices are reasonable and we had a little bit leftover. This might just be our new favorite BBQ in OKC. Don't hesitate to go! Can't wait to take my family!

Nice restaurant with a laid back feel but top Notch food, service and atmosphere. The food is delicious with fair portions for the prices. Have the deviled eggs appetizer for sure. The bar looked to be well stocked and their drink menu had a lot of appealing choices but it was a business lunch so we didn’t get to try any. I’ll get back and give those a spin sometime. All in all if you’re looking for bbq this is a great spot and it’s a little more upscale so it would be a good date or socializing location.

The customer service was great! I ordered two meats, brisket and turkey. The taste was good but both were dry. Two sides, Mac n cheese and collard greens. The Mac was okay but the greens were so salty I couldn't eat them. The cornbread was extremely delicious with the butter and salsa verde!

Ribs were decent, brisket as well. Both seemed like they’d been in a warmer too long. Honestly, I enjoyed my roasted Brussels sprouts and carrots and my seared green beans more than my meat selections…. That shouldn’t happen at a BBQ joint, but those were some fantastic sides and that was some mediocre BBQ. I’ll probably look elsewhere in the city for my next BBQ outing.

I have a new born baby so we were sat in the lower available seating. It was dimly lit in the restaurant kind of a rustic tavern feel to it. My waitress was training a new employee. They did wonderfully. I had the BBQ chicken with green beans and fancy Mac and cheese. For an appetizer I had the mommas deviled eggs. They were the highlight of my meal I ate them to quickly to take a picture but believe me you want them. They come with pickled baby onions, jalapeno, and these delicious seedy round green things that I want more of. The chicken was flavorful but the breast was a little dry for being smoked.

Terrible! Paid $46 plus delivery for 2 slices of brisket, 8 slices of sausage, and a small handful of chopped brisket. Mac and cheese is weird to say the least, fried okra is slimey and not cooked all the way. Was not provided any utensils. Only redeeming quality is the barbecue sauce. The pics they posted are very deceiving, the food doesn’t look as good and is much smaller than shown. Will never order from them again.

Cool decor. Delicious food. Helpful staff. The brisket and ribs were fantastic. The bacon wrapped quail breasts were an unexpected menu find and they were delicious.

The brisket and black pepper smoked sausage were on point! Those deviled eggs and jalapeño pimento cheese were both to die for! Anytime I’m headed thru OKC, I’ll definitely be stopping by! The staff were very attentive and did an amazing job tonight!

The sandwiches were small and the "chopped brisket sandwich" was so small the bits fell all over the place. Taste was okay but TBH it was no something I would drive out of my way for. The pickles were yummy

As per our usual, this wasn't the place we actuality intended on eating that night. The place we intended on eating was having some issues so we ended up here. I've driven by this place I don't know how many times and today was the day we actually stopped. The menu was extensive and had lots of options to choose from. We ended up with slices brisket, smoked chicken x2 and pulled pork. Our sides were fries, baked beans, corn, Mac n cheese, vegetables and sweet potatoes. The food was good, it was the service that stood out to me. My daughter in law is pregnant and at the moment can't eat any type of meat on the bone. When she ordered the chicken she didn't realize that it was bone in. The server brought us a menu so she could choose something else. A few minutes later the manager came by and offered some suggestions that she could get and then have her time to think about it. She came back a few minutes later and she still hadn't decided. As the rest of us are and she ate her side she just decided that she didn't want anything else. The manager came up and all she could see was me and she kinda looks at me and give me a thumbs up or down. The whole interaction with the staff and manager was amazing. They went above and beyond to help out a picky pregnant woman.
