Platinum member and booked through Marriott app. Moving across country and was ready to relax in a nice hotel, so we thought. Booked suite to include 1 king and pullout couch/bed for family of 3. Rooms don’t actually come with a pullout couch. Asked for extra bedding so my kid could at least sleep somewhat comfortably on the couch. Said they were in the wash. Went to take a shower and there was no shower curtain. Asked for one and was told to give him two hours (by this time it’s 9pm) because they were also in the wash. When I asked for my points back he told me to leave because he was checking me out and threatened to call cops on me. Oh and can’t forget both times I went to the desk they dude was sawing logs, passed completely out. Had to shout and hit desk to wake him. Don’t waste your time booking here. None of the amenities are available.

The customer service was pretty good. The rooms needed a serious deep clean and frankly renovation. The curtains and carpets had nasty stains on them and the tub was really gross. They apparently are under new management and are updating the pool and breakfast area. However, they didn't tell us that the pool and breakfast were closed for our entire week stay until after we checked in. 😬

This is not a 3 star hotel or even a 2 star. It’s under construction, the room keys don’t work, the exterior doors don’t work with room card, there isn’t an ice machine or ice in your “suite.” The cleanliness is mediocre at best. Wall paper coming off. baseboards coming off and weird smell. No breakfast due to construction. If you want a very cheap stay where cleanliness and details don’t matter then this place will work.

I have a background working in hotels so I have an understanding on how hard it is to clean and manage one. But this hotel was a disaster especially the hotel room itself. As soon as me and my family walked in the door of the room we could smell mold, the beds were terrible I woke up with incredible back pain because the mattresses were so paper thin you could feel the springs. There was rust everywhere including the shower and fridge. The room was covered in dust that had been building up for months. The microwave was covered in butter from what I’d assume popcorn. Another issue I had was with costumer service, they lied about hot breakfast. When I had confronted the main desk about it they blamed Marriott not upgrading their equipment. When we first arrived I was sketched out about the drive in and when I tried to make small talk with her about it she immediately began to defend the hotel saying there were renovations going on, even though I wasn’t even talking about the hotel itself. Another thing she had said is that these renovations were what was making the hotel as bad as it was but as I was reading the reviews these problems began well before the renovations. I can assure you that the renovations are not what caused these issues, it’s pure negligence. I’m a die hard Marriott customer but this hotel shouldn’t be allowed to represent the Marriott franchise.

The rooms used to be really nice. Not anymore. It is my understanding that they are going through a major renovation. Our room: the trash hadn't been taken out, curtains were broken, kitchen floor was peeling up, ice machine wasn't working, there wasn't a blanket in the room, the dishwasher was full of dirty dishes. I could keep going on. I don't blame the desk staff at all. They were very helpful in keeping us satisfied. I did talk to the manager and he made it right with us. I'm looking forward to when the remodel is finished.

I wish we had read all of the reviews here before we spent the extra money to stay in a suite that the website assured us had a full kitchen with pots, pans dishes and silverware. It also said there was a full hot breakfast and a pool and hot tub. And being a Marriott, we had expectations of cleanliness that were not there. It was atrocious. The floors had not been swept in sometime, not just overnight. There were tomato sauce like stains all over the front of the fridge, that we now believe was vomit. My wife cleaned it up with very little effort. However, we both came home with a really bad case of the flu.. Except for a couple of meals, we stayed the whole time in the room to work together away from home. Did I mention the kitchen was not stocked with plates or bowls or cooking utensils. There weren't even plates for the ratty "continental breakfast." My wife needs gluten free meals, so there was nothing for her to eat. The employees were kind but seemed at a loss. There was no one manning the breakfast. We had to engage the desk clerk in between customers to even get coffee. The coffee was brewed in a 12 cup home coffeemaker. 1 of them. So as those of us who were waiting on coffee immediately drained the pot, and the next people had to get the desk clerk to make another pot. I can't believe the Marriott corporation allows their name to be associated this hotel.

We are at a property that is far below the Marriott/residence inn standard. We've never had an issue like this with any of our hundreds of stays at Marriott properties. The pool is closed. There is no breakfast (last night we were told there would be muffins and coffee, which is far from what we paid for, but when we got there this morning, there was nothing). The ice machine is broken and when we asked where to get ice, the desk manager said he had no way to get ice. Obviously he could send someone out to get it. The bathtub doesn't drain. The hooks on the back of the bathroom doors have been torn out. The trim on the kitchen area floor is detached and we have tripped over it more than once. These are problems, considering that no one told us about these issues when we made the reservation. What's worse is that the desk clerk has made no effort to fix them, other than to tell us where we could buy our own breakfast (no vouchers were provided).

I love the set up of the room. Kinda small apartment vibes. Comes with kitchen essentials. Bed has an awful noise to it when you'd move around. Room was clean. Has strange smell thou. Has a lovely sitting area outside. Washer and dryers suck. Overall I really like this hotel. Ladies at front desk are lovely.

NOT a good experience!! What used to be a very nice hotel, has turned into a very run down one. Very poor hotel to have the Marriott name associated with it!! 1st room we were put in, the key reader didnt even work. Once the battery was changed, and we entered, it looked like the beds were messed, there was a piece of the flooring loose and a trip hazard, the kitchen light needed changed, the refrigerator was leaking and there were no kitchen towels or soap. Not to mention the entire hallway was missing the bottom third of the walls and they were covered with plastic - probably should use rooms in this area. They moved us to another room. This one was better, but still had a number of problems - light above the microwave didn't work, flooring was awful - both the carpet and the laminate, ice maker didn't work and there were COCKROACHES. After being gone for a few hours, returned to none of our four keys working. Breakfast was non-existent. And since the key entry on the side door didn't work, someone continually left a rock in the door to prop it open so they didn't have to keep going back through the main entrance. So much for security!!

Computers were down when we checked in. It took 25+ minutes for the woman to find a list of available rooms. She ended up calling head housekeeper at home to see if he or she remembered who had checked out that day, which rooms got cleaned, and what sizes the rooms were. (System has been down for 5 days at this point, our reservation could not even be looked up.) Rooms need updating. The coverlet was on the bed but not the comforter that goes under it. No USB outlets in the room. When checking in, I asked about breakfast time for this morning. She told me the times and nothing else. Went down for the hot “full continental breakfast” listed on the app and website (and standard at all Residence Inns!) and found lukewarm coffee, a bowl of fruit and some store-bought mini muffins and NutriGrain bars. When I asked the front desk, she said “Well, we had a problem with our kitchen a while back and we just haven’t gotten around to fixing it, yet. Maybe by the end of June or early July.” I’ve stayed exclusively at Marriott Hotels for the past 18 years, and I’ve never seen a hotel so neglected and desperately in need of attention and better training. Corporate needs to rethink everything about this location or simply sell it off because if this were my first time at a Marriott I would never return. Worst. Marriott. Ever.

My photos show it all. FILTHY, DISGUSTING, ZERO SERVICE, ZERO BREAKFAST, HIDDEN UNEXPLAINED FEES…not as advertised, terrible service. We stayed for four days and not one time was our room cleaned, we asked for toilet paper on multiple occasions, and never received any but one single roll. We asked for towels during our four day stay we only received two towels there was vomit by the pool, and the front desk was told numerous times, and it was never cleaned up as the picture shows it dried up my room was full of animal hair, which I’m allergic to pet dander so it ruined my stay… There were crumbs on the chair and desk. There are also some food crumbs down by the head of the bed… Gross absolutely disgusting Dog hair on the table so they literally didn’t even wipe down, vacuum or clean anything prior to my arrival or once we were there. It was absolutely disgusting. I should ask for a full refund. The refrigerator was disgustingly dirty. The floors were not even cleaned. This place was so disgustingly filthy that I did not feel safe even sleeping in it… I highly warn others to never stay here… then there were additional charges that I was not even told about… Also, breakfast time even if you get there one hour after it served, there’s a four hour window… There hot breakfast they claim online consisted of ZERO beverages not even water, 2 containers of corn flakes and the a single container of oatmeal. I asked the front desk if they were putting anything else out if there was any milk or any water for the oatmeal or the cereal and they said that is it what is out there… ABSOLUTE DISGUSTING.

Horrible and I do not recommend. I would sleep in my van first. The general manager Chris Coaston is rude and has no business in management. Rooms are apparently only cleaned on Wednesdays and ours still wasn’t today. He said housekeeping came by and could not get in. We were gone all day. Housekeeping was cleaning the room next to ours when we left so I just assumed they would clean ours after. Wrong. They don’t leave fresh towels or pick up trash daily even though we requested this. I have an email from the general manager where he told me it was my responsibility to take my trash to the dumpster. Last I checked I am not an employee there. Weird smell, no breakfast served, pool and hot tub don’t work. Maketplace was Empty there. Definitely not up to Marriott standards. How this place is still running is beyond me. I have filed a formal complaint. Don’t waste your time with this dump. Oh and a dirty towel and a piece of clothing were left on the back of the bathroom door so I highly doubt these rooms are cleaned anyway. We will NEVER return.

Not a great marriott visit, a little bit run down and needs some updates. Also due to the vast amount of people that go to that hotel because of its proximity to SeaWorld, they actually have employees handing out food for their breakfast rather than the usual you can go and Serve Yourself. Kind of felt like I was an inmate in a prison for breakfast Chow. Pool area was okay.

Tired hotel, needs some TLC AC worked great, hotel is rundown over all and breakfast was cold cereal with no milk. The bed was great if bouncy with no support is what you covet. Staff was very friendly but the owners really need to put some work into their property. On the bright side, a brand new Motel 6 is being built right next store so they will have to bring this property up a bit to compete.

Stayed 4/27,4/28,&4/29 2023, room #330, as soon as you walked in the room, you could hear a unit running outside of the room. A constant humma 24/7. Then when you turn down the air conditioner and sound like a freight train running through the room. The second night it got down to 68° in the room and there was no heat. The light under the microwave didn't work. The fan in the bathroom was so loud, woke up the wife. With the air conditioner running we had to have the television turned all the way up just to hear it . Not a pleasant stay. The front desk said to excuse the mess because they're under construction right now. L.O.L.

Good experience. Nice checkin. Clean room. Great mattress. Can't beat it for the price! Don't go in expecting a five star resort, but for a reasonably priced hotel this is exactly what you'd want.

Sadly, this hotel is in need of maintenance, and the service is only so so. I could write a bunch of negative points, but a quick look at previous reviews shows that most of my issues have already been stated. Ultimately, if you need an inexpensive room with a kitchen, you could stay here. If I had come with my wife, I'm sure we would have left.

This residence inn is badly in need of a face lift -- both the property and the location. The room was clean and neat yet maintenance was shoddy (very loud bathroom vent fan and falling shower curtain rod). No hot breakfast with only continental style offering of coffee, juice, and cereal. Continuous highway noise. Popular restaurant chain and AMC theatre next door add to the appeal, but the area is pretty seedy otherwise since the Crossroads mall is abandoned.

Apparently they are either going through or getting ready to remodel this place. Not sure when the ceiling had been painted but one of the fire sprinkler heads was still covered with tape. Carpeting had tears and holes. The vanity light was like a 15 watt bulb. Breakfast was "grab and go" nothing hot except the coffee.

Very clean, wonderful service, friendly front desk workers, peaceful atmosphere and quiet room. My teen son was in a wheelchair and they gave us a beautiful, accessible, room. We were on our way home from St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and this was exactly what we needed, peace and quiet and friendly service.

There is a very good reason that they are undergoing renovations right now. It's because there has not been regular maintenance done on the rooms for a very long time. The majority of the electrical outlets (not some, but a majority) in the room did not work (or they were so loose that I didn't want to use them). The toilet did not work at all. The biggest issue though was that the floor sagged to a central point in the room and the flooring was rippled and warped. I also noticed that there were many mosquitos in the room even though there were none outside. I eventually noticed that the dishwasher leaked into the room. This caused the sagging and warped floor, but also provided the stagnant water under the flooring for the mosquitos to thrive. Yep, I'd say it's about time someone renovated the place.

Oklahoma City is like a second home to me. I come here often and have found very few Hotels that I can park and that are cozy. This Hotel meets those requirements, has reasonable rates, clean, very clean and a Texas Roadhouse practically in the parking lot. It is a little dated but well kept. Jasmine st the front desk was very sweet and helpful. Had a glitch with the heater but she moved me to another room. Elevator runs slowly and the halls are long and spooky like in the shining but I like it here. I will make this my new go-to. I had stayed in the Wingate next door several times but this is only a little more and I had problems with the cleanliness of my rooms over there.a great location if you can figure out how to get here.

Started out bad, booked a double room, got to the room and there were dirty dishes on the counter, trash not taken out, room stunk bad, no pillows and the flooring was coming up in the kitchen. Went back to the front desk and the young lady was very apologetic and I felt bad for her. She moved us to a different room. The room was clean and beds were a bit hard but it's only for 1 night. Pool is not open and the young lady informed us there will not be a hot breakfast. Will definitely be staying somewhere else next time.

  • 2/5 Carina A. 1 year ago on Google
I stayed here with a friend and just couldn't stop talking about this young lady that help us with every issue the best way she knew how. With the lack of staff on duty not to mention no manager's or maintenance on site. The fact this company doesn't set their staff up to succeed but to fail is just upsetting. My heart went out to her, just seems that this company whomever runs it just leaves there employees without any form of help or communication, not having the ability to leave the front desk or just being left with a customer that may not be so understanding. Despite all this she held her composure to help us with anything and everything with a smile. I appreciate her as a person and hope the company does as well. Thank you Jailyn 5 stars for you . 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

This is a zero star review. DO NOT STAY HERE. I booked a room through Priceline while I was traveling across the country. I specifically chose a hotel that allowed dogs. I arrived and they told me there was a $100 non-refundable pet fee (the room was $86). The fee was not posted in the reservation and wasn't posted anywhere at the check-in desk. I asked to see the policy and the girl working said her manager just 'told her to do it.' It appears they are running a scam. It's not what I expect from a Marriott property. Stay here at your own

I had accidentally booked wrong date and location. Walked in and night clerk Mr. Q. HE IS THE MAIN REASON WE STAYED!!!! He was patient when I was not in greatest mood, (due to family member dying). He was up-front and honest, and worked magic with my booking. So words cannot express my gratitude to him! The rooms were clean, bathrooms included. Beds were fairly comfortable also. So thank you from a distraught, tired patron, you helped make my day better.

Rooms are always very clean. Having stayed at this location multiple times, there have been some minor snafus during each stay but easily remedied by the awesome housekeeping staff. Less acceptable was my last "greeting" in October 2022. "Do you have a reservation?" Was exactly how I was greeted immediately upon entering and only halfway to the front desk. Not exactly welcoming, especially to this Titanium Elite Rewards member.

  • 1/5 Kirby S. 1 year ago on Google
Been a Gold Elite/Platinum Elite member for years and travel with my 4 kids quite a bit.... This Res Inn unfortunately is way over advertised and is currently lacking ANY amenity or reason to spend $ here. - Website says suites have sofa bed (they don't) - Website doesn't indicate this but there is NO breakfast due to "construction". That construction is the pool however... - Pool is not open until further notice - Prices aren't lower even though no food at all (also no foods or cold drinks for purchase at front desk...... not sure why). - Location is by highway but a solid drive to any breakfast foods or gas station... location is isolated and only buy a Texas Roadhouse. Positive: - Staff was kind and helpful.

This was the worst experience I have ever ever had with a hotel in my life! When I walked in, it smelled like garbage. I really should’ve left. They had no water or no phones in the room. They had no breakfast and it wasn’t advertised at all that that would be the case. The manager or general manager was rude and didn’t think they needed to provide any refunds. Please do not go to this hotel!!! It is a scam to make money when really it should be closed! I am a rewards member and Resident Inn by Marriott have typically been the only hotel I’ve stayed in with my family!!!! I think I’ll have to leave Marriott and fully connect with Hilton! I suggest you all do the same thing or never stay at the Residence Inn Oklahoma South!!!!

I do want to be clear that my stay was fine. The front desk agent did let me know that the location was under construction and that they were updating all the rooms. This is the classic Marriott hotel room, which is older and a bit dated. Everything did work though, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. Would be interested to see the new rooms once completed!

  • 1/5 LaToya B. 2 years ago on Google
Don't bring your family here. It's very out dated. Wasn't told pool or gym was closed until after I checked in. Clerk charged my card $250.00 smoking fee. Now I'm going back and forth with them trying to get my money back. They keep changing the story to I smoked in room to now the clerk witnessed smoking in hall way. Now I have to get corporate office involved to get back my money of falsely being accused. Don't trust this place.

The hotel was undergoing some renovations, so the breakfast area was not available. The fire alarm lights were flashing on our floor when we arrived, but it was quickly resolved. Hotel feels a bit antiquated in appearance, but was still very clean and comfortable.
