Referring to location at 10946 N May: I've always loved Bagel Cafe. It's long been a favorite of my family and friends. However, my experience today was beyond disappointing. Not only was my entire order incorrect (ordered 5 bagels), but my food was inedible because the bagels were burned so bad. I didn't even want my bagel toasted to begin with! See attached pictures. The staff at the time were incredibly young and incompetent. I could barely understand the boy who answered the phone. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone with the current staff. When I went to pick up my order, there was a customer yelling at one of employees for messing up his order. Another lady complained that she had been waiting on a bagel for 1 for over 30 minutes. I hope the Bagel Cafe I love takes the time to evaluate their employees and do better.

Placed an order today for a meat lover’s bagel that was toasted. Service was quick and efficient. Received my bagel and delivered it to the business address requested. After leaving I received a call from the recipient of the bagel stating that all she received was just the bagel toasted without the meat. Make sure if you order from here you get a receipt and verify your order is correct before you leave. This is the second or third time I have had issues with orders being made incorrectly at this establishment.

I completely understand being busy, but if you’re not going to prioritize delivery orders then you need to turn off the ability to order via Postmates/Ubereats. I’ve been waiting for the past hour and a half, have had four delivery drivers come in and leave because they were told you were busy. When I call the restaurant for an update, no one answers the phone. You’re not only wasting customers’ time, but the time of those working for these delivery services. Please take this into consideration as this is unacceptable service.

Listen change your knives ! I HATE the garlic onion taste on my french toast bagel. I don't know if its on the bagel or in the cream cheese but those tastes should not be together!

Bagels are always good. I always get the plain ones sliced. Service needs works. I understand a Saturday mornings would be busy. The line would move more efficiently if the employees put a little effort in to the service. Of course all the employees )that I saw anyway) are younger. A few of them gave me the impression that they were just there to get a paycheck. Just to get the job done. No, “hi”, no smiles, no effort in making me feel like a valued customer. Apparently they don’t get the Connection that they have no paycheck without customers. Our bagels were cut way uneven- 3/4 on one side and 1/4 on the other. I mean I understand that they won’t be perfectly even but, really? All of them cut like this?? I felt like going back there and cutting and bagging my bagels myself. The only reason I left 2 stars is because the bagels are good.

The food was great! Husband loves bagels but I love croissants. Found out you can easily replace the bagel with a croissant! #score

Was there for 30 minutes and no one made coffee. Both tanks were empty. Ordered a ham croissant and the ham was cold. Bagel toasted also seemed cold and old. This place has gone way down hill. There was what seemed a homeless man sleeping on their couch in the eating area.

Ever since they reopened the quality has gone way downhill. Several times we’ve ordered bagels with strawberry cream cheese and could taste palpable onion. My theory is that they aren’t cleaning the knives between slicing bagels or spreading cream cheese. I don’t want to pay 5 dollars for breakfast that doesn’t taste good.

Ever since they remolded the whole vibe of the restaurant has changed. They got rid of the old crew who worked there expect the one brunette girl, and none of them as happy as the previous crew. They also raised the prices las year and you no longer get what you pay for. It is a sad change considering how enjoyable this place used to be.

Have ordered from this location and the last 5 times orders have been wrong, and always late on pick up. Order will be ready about 15-25min after your given quote. 1 order out of the 5 was during a rush the other times no more than 5-8 guests in building. Needs a lot of work

I had actually quit coming here for a while because the service and overall quality had dropped. I decided to try again today. First, no one would answer the phone so I had to go there to place the order. When I asked the cashier about it, she told me the phone is unplugged and they do that when they are busy (they weren’t that busy to me). I then tried to order egg salad (one of their staples) and they are out of it at noon on a Saturday. This has been a common occurrence in the past and apparently still a problem. It’s sad that a place I used to eat at most Saturdays has dropped so sadly. At least one of the owners used to be in here a lot but I have not seen them the last several visits so that probably accounts for the drop in service. The food tasted good so that’s a plus but I think I will continue to patronize my new lunch choices where the service is where it should be.

Great place for a delicious, inexpensive breakfast. We love coming for the bagel sandwiches! They’re always so good!

I never leave reviews on anything but felt like I needed to share. I have been coming to Old School Bagel for 5 years. I had the pleasure of meeting Michael on my most recent visit. He may possibly be one of the most upbeat and professional individuals I have ever met. His positive energy changed my mindset for the rest of the day. It is so rare to find people like these these days so I thought I would share.

Waited over 12 minutes on the phone was ignored till I actually was in store. Still was hearing them speaking to people ordering food and ignoring me on the phone. Guess your not important unless your in front of them.

Tasty bagel shop! Always good, though sometimes can be a little hit or miss on how much cream cheese they put on your bagel, and whether the coffees are good or not. It's very odd! I assume it's because of the college kids working there- I don't think I see the same face twice!

Just went there this morning to get a Firecracker bagel. Almost all of employees were wearing their face mask below their nose. So what is the point in wearing a mask? Then they take your card swipe it then turn their payment screen around and want you to touch to 4 times to complete your payment. Nope 👎 not sanitary at all. Come on management you need to do a much better job running this place.

The bagels are delicious, but the service at this location is rough. I constantly have situations where I’ll order online, show up after 15-20 minutes and my order hasn’t even been printed out to start making yet (sometimes it’s before the quoted time, but the restaurant won’t be busy at all and they haven’t even started yet) and half the time when my order is ready somebody will just set it on the counter with the other orders that are waiting to be picked up even though I already told them I was there and I won’t even know my orders ready for another 5 to 10 minutes

Great as always! I was a kid in the 90s and absolutely loved new York bagel shop. I'm so glad they've been back after the hiatus when Manhattan bagel took over... Dark times those were. You cannot beat these bagels they're the absolute best! And I know the classics are great (cream cheese, pizza bagel) but seriously try one of the bagel sandwiches! You'll never go back to a regular sandwich once you do.

This is the best lox bagel I have ever had! it was amazing with sprouts. also the service was amazing, Michael was super friendly and checked in on us to make sure we enjoyed all of our food.

Great breakfast/lunch spot. Good bagels with lots of tasty, fresh toppings to make sandwiches or flavored cream cheeses. They also have really good coffee. It's a local chain, and all the locations I've been too have similar quality.

With the cost of prices going up, I about had a heart attack for how much it costs for a bagel with cream cheese. But....the employees were the nicest and genuine people, and for that, I would go back. Employees like that deserves our business. It's truly hard to find now days.

We order from this location often via mobile order and don't usually have an issue. With that being said, you'd think you'd have the same experience when going into the location and ordering face to face. We ordered an onion bagel toasted with onion and chive cream cheese, a mile high club with bacon on a toasted everything bagel with warm meat, another onion bagel untoasted with onion and chive cream cheese and a large fountain drink). The order was confirmed twice, paid for ($18.54 for 3 bagels and a drink) was sent off to their cook station. While waiting we witness an employee put on a glove, mess with the boxes delivered by ups with that gloved hand and then proceeds to go back to preparing food with that same gloved hand ( those boxes are filthy), other employees handling and preparing dine in baskets with unwashed and ungloved hands, an employee load a hamper full of towels and wash cloths I'd assume from the store into their personal vehicle to take with them to be washed (if you work in the food industry you'd know thats unsanitary and why food businesses have disposable towels or a professional cleaning service provide sanitary towels for food preparation and use) and to top it all off our order was wrong. Neither bagels requested to be toasted were, meat on the mile high club was ice cold and the bacon added was the consistency of a rubber band. After today's events, I won't be back to this location as I'm not entirely confident in the cleanliness nor competence of the restaurant.

We had high hopes trying this place. But the bagels were very rubbery and hard to even chew. Very minimal meat. My bagel had one sliver of ham. Pricy for seeming to be microwaved ingredients. And I hate when cold coffee isn’t made with cold brew resulting in the coffee tasting burnt. Just not a place for us! The girl helping us was very friendly though.

Went here for the first time, got two strawberry cream cheese bagels. The cream cheese was nasty, it did not taste like strawberry at all and looked like it was flavored with food coloring. The bagel was good, it was soft and crunchy which I really liked. However the cream cheese was gross and there was so much of it I had to wipe it off. Atmosphere was cute, and the customer service was okay. I can't say it was very special unfortunately, but the cream cheese really ruined the bagel for me. I don't know if that's a common occurrence but I wouldn't order it again. I'd recommend just getting a plain bagel with butter, the bagel was good!

got a blueberry bagel with cream cheese and an asiago for the road. One of the best asiago bagels i've ever had. Lots of people just chillin'. thought the wait would be long, but it was quick.

We ordered ahead online for carryout, which turned out to be a great idea. This store is apparently very popular and had quite a few customers waiting after ordering their food. Food was well prepared and delicious after we got home.

I have always hated this place but I end up going because for some reason everyone loves it it's like the popular girl. Don't listen to them when they say they are going to toast your sandwich because they are going to put it into a microwave they do not have anything that can actually toast a sandwich. Everyone knows microwaves ruin the texture of a bagel and they should never be put in a microwave.

I love bringing my toddler here for lunch dates! There are cozy chairs and more standard seating. Loads of options for any taste preferences. Staff is kind, bathrooms clean, prices fair, what more could you want?

We got a muffin, cookie, bagel, cinnamon roll, and iced coffee. All of the food was amazing even my 7 year old niece liked it all. We will definitely be going again. And they had treats for my puppies. They were so happy!

This place has been a family favorite for years. Tasty coffee and a large variety of always-fresh bagels and muffins. Our favorites are the multi grain bagel (toasted with butter and jam..my mouth is watering as I write this) and the lox and cream cheese on honey oat bagel. That being said, you literally can't go wrong with any of the breakfast or lunch bagel sandwiches on the menu! Service is fast and pleasant, and they've recently opened up even more seating in the back room. They've also recently created a rewards program, which is nice for frequent customers. Can't give Old School Bagel Cafe enough stars :)

The variety of bagels is a bagel lover's smorgasbord. The bagels are fresh, the vegetable cream cheese is delicious, remarkable customer service and impeccably clean establishment. Will definitely go again.

Oklahoma is not NYC, so I don't expect the bagelries here to be at the same level. Prices are a bit high for bagels. I got a bagel with lox and cream cheese, and the bagel itself was just ok. I know it wasn't premade, but it tasted barely better than bagels from the grocery store. Ten dollars for a bagel with lox is very overpriced. This is much higher than in Minneapolis which is a much pricier city. The lox was not the best, not the worst. Not a wide variety of bagels here. The chain Einstein's has a wider selection. Disappointed. The service likewise was ok. Not rude, but not overly friendly either. Again, nothing to write home about. Normally when I eat a bagel with lox and cream cheese, I feel full. Not this time. The restaurant itself was clean. The most annoying thing was the Christian music belting from the speakers. People have a right to their religion, we all do, but not everyone is Christian. There is an old saying, business and politics or religion don't mix . Honestly I see no reason to come back here. I would have been better off getting bagels ,cream cheese, and lox from the grocery store. It would have tasted better. The woman who keeps writing good reviews is associated with this business.

What a wonderful surprise finding this gem! The bagels we had were delicious and definitely reasonably priced. If you are in the area pop in and try a bagel :)

The food is delicious, and they just renovated this location so it looks great. However, I almost always order my food ahead online and get so frustrated every time by the fact that there is no pickup counter here. Get on board with every other restaurant that allows online order placement and have online orders out and ready for people to pick up. I always feel like a jerk because I go to the front where I know they keep the to-go orders piled up. I'm sorry, but I'm not waiting in a line that is always long for another 20 minutes when I know my food is ready behind the counter. That's the whole reason I place my order online. Otherwise great place, but please take this into consideration!

Will not go back. People are very nice there, it would just be nice to get what I ordered. 2ce now, I have gotten home with the wrong order, which is quite frustrating, especially when they are not busy. Both times, I have been able to credit my card which is nice, yet would rather have my order correct. Even when the gentleman read my order to me over the phone, it was entered correctly, just not placed correctly.

Place has gone down hill A LOT! Service has always been absolutely terrible however now they can’t even keep half and half for coffee, bacon for sandwiches, or a good variety of bagels in stock. Unbelievably disappointing for a breakfast place. Will no longer be wasting money here as there are so many other delicious breakfast places in and around the area like Joey’s Cafe up the street! Would NOT recommend!

Wow...it took three attempts to get my order right. Made it back to the car, opened my bag and discovered my order was still wrong. It shouldn’t be that hard to get a dozen bagels...

I love love love this find! Since discovering it, I visit at least 2-3x a month out of being conservative. I wish I could go daily! My first visit, I had the Sooner Club- turkey, ham, Swiss, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes and onion. It was a great first start! Now- its Always the El Fuego- Chipotle seasoned pulled pork, jalapeños, onions, Jack cheese and spicy mayo ❤ The restaurant itself is very clean and well maintained. The staff has always been friendly, even when they are busy.. Also- just to note: Prices seemed a bit high at first but the quality is undeniable and hands down worth it!!

It's just plain good I was getting a gift for a young friend who asks for gift certificates from old school. He likes them so well.

I have loved this place since I was a child, and have supported it every single time it’s open and closed and relocated, I’ve even supported OSBC in Norman while it was open during my college days. That being said, it pains me to write a bad review. Something has to change with this specific location. When the owner is not here the people and younger adults running the place don’t care. It’s a shame. They don’t check the online orders, they don’t answer the phones, they are not as apologetic as they should be when someone has been waiting for over an hour for their online order. I ran into another friend at the very same time who was experiencing the same problem with an online order she placed. Don’t do online ordering if you can’t keep up with it! Even then, when coming in person to order... the wait is too long for a bagel toasted! 30 minutes or more is my average wait when ordering in person and it’s not even that busy. If I was the owner, I’d want to know what was being said about my business. I’ve heard more and more how people are beginning to drive to another location if they were wanting bagels.

Clean. Socially distanced. Also includes out door seating for the chill (not too chilly lol) mornings and hot coffee topped off with a bagel of your choice. Mmm yum delight.
