This is the first time we came to this Johnnies Burgers. It was awesome as usual. The sweet tea is VERY sweet. The onion rings were to die for! We are so glad we don't live in Oklahoma city because we would be eating here a lot. I guess Oklahoma city is the only place they are located. It's a little pricey, but worth it.

This is my first stop every time I visit OK. I could eat their onion rings for every meal! My favorite burger was always the chili cheeseburger, but the one I got last week had an unusual taste and I couldn't eat the entire thing. Not sure what happened. But the service and onion rings were amazing as usual!

First time at Jonnie’s even though it’s such an OKC establishment. The burgers and onion rings were delicious. Service was fast and friendly. I’ll be back again!

Johnnie’s Charcoal Broiler immediately evokes a sense of nostalgia as soon as you walk through the doors. You are taken back to a 1970’s diner in the best way possible. You get a great meal for your money, and the staff is extremely pleasant. Their riff on the theta burger is outstanding thanks to Johnnie’s Hick’ry sauce. The fries were fantastic as were the towering onion rings. Highly recommend.

Gross, dry, cold, poor quality food 🤢🤮 Is overrated for the price. 2 of us ate lunch for about $30 with no drinks. That would have been fine if it was good, but it wasn't. Threw most of it out.

It was… alright. The Caesar burger was certainly unique, but we did wish the patties were thicker. They get drowned in sauce and buns. Fries were mid, I’d pick the onion rings over fries. Workers were all really friendly! But I wouldn’t put this place above any other burger place necessarily.

Johnnie's has been a staple for my family all of my life. We would make special trips up to the city just to eat at one of their locations. My personal favorites are their Caeser burger with cheese cooked medium, their basic cheeseburger with all of the fixins and their fries and onion rings. So good!

Used their back room for a party, it was perfect for our gathering. Party trays of chicken, mini burgers, fries, onion rings, etc, would be perfect for these types of gatherings. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and helpful.

Overview: 3/5 I wish Yelp allowed 3.5 because that’s what I would have given as the rating this place. It was OK Ambiance : 4/5 Lots of tables for both large and small parties. A clean and spacious floor plan. It had a separate area for private parties which is nice. Food/Drink 3/5 I got a cheeseburger and the homemade onions rings The burger had a good charbroiled flavor. However I felt the bun to meat patty ratio was imbalanced. Too much bread to burger. Also I totally didn’t get the cheese not being melted… apparently it was a “option” for ordering. The onion rings were not greasy and had a good crunch. They did need a bit of salt though. The soda machine didn’t work so that was a bit frustrating Service : 3/5 It was fine you order and they call your name once the order is done. Conclusion : It was OK not sure I’d put it on a top food places.. Other burger joints to try before I would return.

Pretty expenisve to feed yourself and your family here. The portions are nice but we asked for one of our burgers to have no tomato and they put 3 wet slices of tomatoes on both of our burgers, but only one thin piece of lettuce. Didnt make a lot of sense. Burger was so soggy and falling apart when trying to eat it. Also there were a lot of kids running and yelling around, not the restaurants fault but still...I think the one in Edmond is better but I've only been through the drive thru there.

I have been eating at the Johnnies off of Britton road for quite a while. I office near that location. the other day i ate at the Johnnies in Edmond and the that location was much better. The Johnnies off of Britton road barley uses any shredded cheese and the fry portions are small. the Edmond location had better burgers (piles of cheese) and larger portions of fries. Johnnies is not consistent from one store to the next. I will be going to Edmond for my burgers moving forward.

This offshoot of the prior well known restaurant called the SPLIT-T a burger joint frequented as a drive in restaurant after football games, is famous for a smoked red sauce that is not quite a BBQ sauce, but is more than ketchup or just any tomato sauce. The THETA burger, famous from DENCO'S Diner on the CAMPUS CORNER in NORMAN OKLAHOMA is still a best seller. I almost always order this #9 with fries, and always with cheeze, but my family likes the hand made onion rings better. We all go for the ( this is a classic chocolate pudding pie with whipped cream topping and then shavings of dark chocolate on top) chocolate icebox pie, which is sold in mammoth slices big enough to share around the table. These pies are fresh and made on the property, so they are available as a WHOLE pie, and often grace the table of many a family for dinner or just for get togethers. Johnnies has been family owned and operated for years. The original owner's wife just recently died, but the staff under careful management has carried on these traditions. This restaurant is a place where people often gather in large groups, so it is not uncommon to see area groups show up together, but then also you can easily find multiple generations at table which is a fun tradition to spot. Johnnie's offers two private rooms which can be rented out for functions and they recently added a lounge where live music plays. I hope during the Summer Months, they think about taking over the parking lot after hours and have beach music and make it a big event. Johnnie's offers take out and eat in. They I think cater events, but I dk how large. Their meat is 100% beef and I think it is locally grown. They have a long standing partnership with Schwabs Meats in OKC, and I guess all the stuff they use to make their stuff great is locally grown. I miss some of the long-term staff for Johnnie's but the new staff is getting their stride. Drink machines are quite modern, but might make it so you just want to order tea. They have service inside and out, though it's a bit chilly for that now. Many people get this food to go and head to Lake Hefner or area parks which are plentiful, to get that family gathering going just right. Thanks y'all. I like my fries "burnt", so if you want your fries in the crispy traditional Split T way, then ask them to be double fried and you won't be disappointed. Best in the New Year, y'all! Diana, Kathye and Allyson K. Winslow and Lonnie Marshall James III, all of OKC.

Johnnies relax on the cheese. This baked potatoe looks like scrambled eggs.

Great tasting cheese burger, onion rings. Sweet tea and chocolate pie! The pie was very big and very good.

As always, great food! Served hot and perfect. Favorite is the #9 Cheese Theta with extra cheese and pickles.

Best Burger In the city. This local restaurant is the place to come for generous serving and a touch of diners nostalgia. Clean and spacious dining area and updated restrooms. DD and I split a burger with all the condiments on the side…so impressed that they sack all of them in containers and packing(generous portions) Strawberry shake definitely impresses my 12yo. She gave the verdict that it’s Hagen Daz rich 👍😊. Now that’s 5 star coming from a kid. Onion rings is our fav Lastly, we r thankful for freely and accommodating employees(maybe the boss weren’t around🤷‍♂️🤣) An ideal location to come crammed for ur exam and support the local business🤣 Bravo Johnnie👍

Usually great food; burgers, rings, chili, salad. The Chef salad used to come compacted in a black box with a very good amount of everything you would expect on an $11 salad. However, yesterday I purchased a Chef salad to go. It came in a Styrofoam box with quite a bit of lettuce and a measley amount of other ingredients. Blah... I suppose the salad add-ons were minimized since this was an app order and I was given a $3 credit on that individual purchase. I would have preferred the old salad amount and keep your $3 reward.

Cool fun setting for a burger! Had a meeting there with my Wednesday night church group and there was also a meeting of the "young men's club", pretty sure the youngest man there was 99. Anyways food was great!

Been coming to johnnies for the better part of 34 years, always had nothing but good to say about this place. I grew up going to the original NW expressway location and today was my first time at the newer Britton rd location. I am happy to say that it retains the high level of quality I have come to expect from johnnies. Great burger, great cheese fries, my wife said the ranch was the best she’s ever tasted!

Being a person with a business background, I tend to over-evaluate the establishments that I visit and I had such a great experience here! They run a very tight ship! I had a short wait time to receive my food and my burger was super delicious! Bonus: Their website to order for pick-up is very user-friendly. They get an A++ in my book!

🫤 I'm going to start out by saying DEVIN WAS AMAZING. He came by the table often checking on us. Got our food out, got our ticket. Refilled our drinks and was very friendly. IF we go back we will make sure its when he is working and request him. I GIVE HIM 5 STARS. However I gave the business itself...
