Where
do
I
begin.
On
Tuesday,
September
8,
I
made
a
reservation
for
this
hotel
through
Expedia
online.
My
original
reservation
was
for
one
night,
Friday
night,
Sep
11.
I
chose
the
option
where
I
pay
when
I
get
there.
Early
Friday
morning,
I
decided
to
extend
my
reservation
to
Saturday
night,
because
I
decided
that
I
would
like
to
stay
an
extra
day.
So
I
reached
out
through
the
Expedia
chat,
spoke
to
a
young
lady
who
later
called
me
so
she
could
get
my
credit
card
info,
and
completed
the
transaction
through
chat.
She
told
me
that
she
had
to
cancel
the
other
reservation
for
only
Friday
night,
and
created
a
whole
new
one
for
Friday
night
and
Saturday
night.
But
she
assured
me
that
the
Operations
Manager
at
the
hotel
said
that
they
would
not
charge
me
a
cancellation
fee.
I
wanted
to
be
doubly
sure,
so
after
I
hung
up
from
her,
I
called
the
Oyo
hotel
directly,
and
spoke
to
a
man
who
sounded
India.
He
was
quite
rude,
letting
me
know
that
they
did
charge
me
a
cancellation
fee,
and
that
I
would
need
to
contact
Expedia
to
talk
about
getting
a
refund.
So,
I
called
Expedia
customer
service,
and
spoke
to
another
man
who
at
first
said
the
same
thing
almost
verbatim
that
the
first
young
lady
told
me,
like
they
read
it
from
a
script.
About
the
Operations
Manager
and
all
of
that.
By
this
time,
I
can
see
the
pending
cancellation
charge
in
my
bank
account,
for
the
full
amount
of
one
night's
stay.
So
I
explain
this,
and
he
puts
me
on
hold
while
he
says
he
is
calling
the
hotel.
Then
he
comes
back
and
says
that
the
pending
charge
should
fall
off
in
a
few
days
(as
of
now,
Sunday
night,
Sep
13,
the
pending
charge
is
still
there).
So
anyway,
I
decide
to
go
ahead
and
drive
to
OKC,
and
I
figured
I
would
deal
with
the
cancellation
fee
later.
Get
there,
and
I
meet
a
very
sweet
young
lady
at
the
front
desk,
who
checks
me
in.
Walk
into
the
room
(mind
you,
I
had
my
mask
on
at
the
time),
and
immediately
smell
"stinky
feet".
So
I
took
off
the
mask,
and
I
could
smell
that
heavily
scented
deodorizer
that
they
use
in
hotels
when
they
are
trying
to
cover
up
odors.
Well,
I'm
tired,
so
I'm
trying
not
to
worry
about
it.
As
I
walk
around
the
room,
I'm
seeing
stains
in
the
carpet,
but
again,
being
the
easygoing
person
that
I
would
like
to
believe
that
I
am,
I
decide
not
to
worry
about
it.
Figured
I
would
get
ready
for
bed,
so
I
pull
back
the
comforter
and
sheets
and
see
an
unmistakable
semen
stain
on
the
bottom
fitted
sheet!
Yuck!
This
is
where
I
draw
the
line,
so
I
immediately
go
back
downstairs
to
the
front
desk
and
let
them
know.
She
gives
me
another
room,
which
at
first
glance
seems
to
be
much
better.
It
smelled
clean,
no
stains
on
the
carpet,
and
the
sheets
appeared
to
be
clean
as
well.
So,
I
sit
on
the
bed
and
make
a
phone
call.
While
I'm
on
the
phone,
my
eyes
happen
to
look
towards
the
dresser,
which
has
a
cubby
hole
at
the
top.
There
appears
to
be
something
in
the
back
of
it,
so
I
reach
in,
and
it's
someone's
pair
of
pants!
So,
now
I'm
really
losing
confidence
in
the
housekeeping
staff.
It's
appearing
that
a
lot
of
things
are
being
overlooked.
But
what
finally
made
me
decide
to
not
stay
there
at
all
was
that
I
couldn't
close
the
drapes.
In
most
hotel
rooms,
there
are
sheer
curtains
that
let
light
in,
and
then
there
are
usually
heavier
drapes
that
you
can
close
at
night
so
no
one
can
see
into
the
room.
But
here,
there
was
a
pair
of
sheer
curtains
on
the
window,
but
the
drapes
were
just
for
"show".
There
was
no
way
to
close
them.
So
anyone
standing
outside
of
my
hotel
room
at
night
could
see
right
into
my
room.
So
I
got
my
things
and
went
back
downstairs,
and
told
the
young
lady
that
I
would
not
be
staying.
She
had
already
charged
my
card
for
the
two
nights
earlier.
She
told
me
to
speak
to
the
Manager,
who
was
also
very
nice.
However,
he
explained
that
he
was
new
and
did
not
know
how
to
process
my
refund.
He
gave
me
a
number
to
call
for
OYO's
customer
service.
Google
tells
me
I'm
running
out
of
space,
so
I'll
just
say
that
I
called,
which
was
more
of
a
nightmare
experience,
and
I
still
don't
have
my
refund.
