This is a hard place to review because the things in it really are cool: the mermaid show, the play areas, and the hands-on opportunities were all great. The employees were also friendly and helpful. The problem we had was that the price just didn't match up with the experience... We had a group of 11 and paid a bunch of money for what essentially felt like a small aquarium and a nice playground. Ages ranged from 1 to 36 in our group, and everyone was ready to leave after about an hour and a half. We ended up walking around the mall until the pirate show, and then leaving again until the mermaid show. We all agreed we wouldn't come back unless we were invited to a birthday party or something. You'll make a few memories and take good pictures, but there's just not there to justify paying almost $20/person in my opinion.

We really enjoyed the Blue Zoo! As an aquarium enthusiast, they had some really neat things we haven’t seen before. The manicure fish was one of them! The stingrays were extremely interactive compared to other places. The parakeet aviary was so fun and got to hold lots of birdies. The friendly tortoise, the reef sharks were neat and even a beautiful mermaid swam around and talked to the kids! The play area was geared toured little ones. I would say there’s something for all ages but definitely the littles. People in these reviews complain about the price but what people don’t understand is that aquatic life and maintenance is VERY VERY expensive to upkeep. And all the animals and tanks looked great and healthy. We were there for about 3.5-4 hours and our kids had a blast and were worn out. The gift shop items even had decent prices and it wasn’t crowded on a Friday. Friendly employees too! Get a few of the feeding tokens to feed the different animals, very worth it IMO!

I wasn’t excited to visit a mall aquarium but once past the slightly cumbersome pay and waiver process- the visit was bliss! Huge shout out to Robert at the stingrays. He taught the kids so much about the animals, shared their names and genuinely excited them about learning. We were learning and having so much fun we didn’t realize we stayed until closing!! The facility is well designed, clean and staffed with some gem humans! It was really cool to see a family swimming with the sharks as well.

Super cool! Make sure you check the web site before you go to see if there are any deals because the staff don’t always know what they are offering. We have a large family and the special was but and adult ticket for $20 and get a kid free. Other then that it was amazing to pet the sting rays and see all the neat animals.

a lot of people walking around with out mask no one ask them to comply with wearing one, the staff is pleasant, nice place, wasn't a lot of animal for us to see, the mermaids weren't their and my daughter wanted to see them, turns out their only there sometimes on the weekend, I spent over $100 I wanted to see all they had to offer. Update I emailed them no reply they just comment to look good

We loved our visit! I brought a toddler and it was perfect for us. The exhibits were very child-friendly: easy to reach and see, clean, well staffed, knowledgable staff, very educational, really fun and hands-on. The mermaid show was really sweet. I was skeptical because I feel like that kind of show can be a bit weird sometimes but this was very sweet and professional. She read to the kids some books about fish, talked with them like a Disney Princess experience, and then swam and waved at the kids. It was really sweet. We loved the whole experience being there and will for sure be back!

We visited blue zoo with a fairly large crowd, 4 kids, 2 infants and 4 adults! Grabbing tickets was fairly easy. We had no wait time upon arriving—weekday around 5pm. The aquarium is the most kid friendly mall aquarium I’ve been to. Offering indoor play gyms/rock walls and water play for the kids! They also offer add on feeds—where you can add on to feed the animals, I believe in packs 1, 4 or 10. I posted a picture of pricing for reference. For a family of 2 kids, 1 infant, 2 adults (1 military), we paid $77 and added on another $10 for feeding vouchers. The aquarium has birds, stingrays/sharks, turtles/tortoises, snakes and other reptiles and fish! Great variety and loved that you’re able to feel / pet them.

Fun, interactive, (no octopus as shown), great place to take kids on a hot summer day! No feedings at posted scheduled times, but still a fun and interactive experience. I believe older students will lose interest around age 11 -12, unless they are interested in these specific subjects. The bird feeding was the highlight of our visit.

Staff was super friendly. My daughter loved the mermaid experience. 🧜‍♀️ They have plenty of water toys to keep younger children entertained for hours! You can feed different animals and pet sting rays and star fish. Definitely worth a trip. It's located in a mall so you can ship afterwards!

I'm a fan of going to aquariums, so when I heard Oklahoma City had one, I had to come. It's located in a section of a huge shopping center. Given everything they have, it's decently sized to go through. No matter where you go, there's always friendly staff to answer questions and give information about the animals there at the aquarium. Great learning experience for the whole family is a plus! They have an upstairs section where mostly everything is interactive, which is great for families! You can buy tokens to feed the animals while walking around, which seems to be a trending thing amongst aquariums, so highly recommend giving it a shot. Overall for this aquarium, definitely a positive experience and recommended for families or those stopping through town. Definitely more than meets the eye at Blue Zoo Aquarium!

It could use a little cosmetic attention. Although it's pretty plain inside, it's worth the price for the stingrays alone. The shark tank is pretty cool. Loved the birds. The food for the animals is one piece for one token, which are 2.50 each if you buy 4. Kinda pricey but worth feeding the stingray and birds. They sure are hungry. The playground are mostly for smaller kids, some of the water tables weren't working. I give it an 9. It's fun but pricey for the atmosphere. They should give the kids a little keepsake or something.

The aquarium itself is very cool. They don't have as much "feeding" as I expected though. All that said, my grandson bought a toy from the gift shop with his own money and not only was it overpriced but it was not like the picture described and once it was "transformed" it would not fully go back to its original version. Perhaps the aquarium should reconsider the overpriced toys they sell to these kids or at the very least get better quality toys or reduce the price of them.

I was honestly not expecting so much from an aquarium INSIDE of a mall!! The work they put into this place is amazing! There are multiple play areas, you can feed turtles, fish, stingrays, birds and more. We were able to pet a ball python, and get fishy manicures. It was so much fun here and I was just not expecting it to be that great! I was very surprised in the best way! 😍😍

We was in the area and had nothing to do so figured we would stop by and see the newest aquarium in oklahoma. And wow it really was over the top fun! As soon as we got inside the double doors it was amazing fun. This place is go at your own speed for sure. Got to make sure you get your money's worth. Which was little on the pricey side. And also have to spend extra for the feeding tables as well. But it's for the memories and not everyday you get to feed a stingray. We loved the big bird cage the most. Could watch them all day. Also note you have to sign a waiver before going in.

As many have stated before, the overall price seems a little too much for a single visit. The season pass over the summer could be a really good deal. There were more children's toys and water tables then aquariums. It was more of a water/ocean themed playground than it was a zoo. My kids had a great time.

Definitely recommend for anyone of all ages. There’s a small assortment of exhibits with fish in them downstairs. They have mermaids that come out at a certain time that swim with a shark and the kids adore it. Upstairs they have a plethora of things to do from feeding birds turtles and fish to a variety of thing for kids to climb on and play. Interactive water areas. The main attraction in my opinion is the petting area for stingrays…. They even have a shark in there you can pet!! I personally found myself and our family spent almost an entire hour just at that part alone! Worth every penny.

It's okay! Very small, as you'd expect from something in a mall. Not a whole lot to see. It's more of a play place for kids, so if you're going as an adult thinking it'll be an aquarium, it'll probably disappoint you. The employees were super nice and seemed to know quite a lot about the animals they do have.

My child came by me now and told me “so much fun” so it went from 2stars to 3stars but seriously it’s too pricey for what they have here. It’s nice but $10 per child and $5 per adult would be more accurate price tag on that. They have few playground that take the most focus of the place, but playground you can find in any neighborhood or indoor playground or even same floor in that mall...for free. *also, when places like that and like the zoo (during Corona shout down) will understand that they should reduce the price when not all “attractions” are available due to “out of order” situation?!

The only thing negative I have to say is that this is more like an indoor playground and not an 'aquarium.' With that being said my kids had a really good time, but I could have paid half the price for another playground in the city somewhere.

For a small aquarium inside of a mall... this was alright!! Our children loved the various shows and play stations. But more importantly, they walked out more knowledgeable about aquatic life then when we went in. The staff is courteous and know their stuff!!! HIGHLY RECCOMEND!!!

My 2.5 year old loved this. Didn't want to stop to eat and definitely didn't want to leave. You could spend 3-4 hours here, if you have young children. Best suited for under 10. There are playgrounds and a lot of water play. Stations to feed animals. A tiny place to buy snacks. I will agree with the reviewers that say this is not the greatest place during covid times since all of the activities upstairs involve a lot of shared water tables. There are hand sanitizer stations set all around, but the sinks themselves are downstairs and really should have been placed upstairs. Also, the only bathroom is on the bottom floor. I especially wanted to wash my daughter's hands since they can put their fingers where the turtles are and there is always salmonella risk with that, especially since the snacks are also upstairs. It's a little inconvenient to trek back downstairs to get a good hand washing... But otherwise the place was really fun for my kiddo.

Such a fun experience! The Bird cage was by far our favorite as the birds would land on you and you could kind of pet them. I felt like a real life bird whisperer but it was really the food we purchased that brought them to us. Still- super unique experience. The mermaid ahow was pretty entertaining too!

This place was so awesome and really made my baby girl's birthday party a joyful memory for the whole family. We had two young ladies help coordinate and did everything they could do to make the party go smoothly.. The aquatic animals, baby sharks and other animals they had where so cool! So if your looking for a kind, professional staff plus a great place to have a party or just wanna plan a day out with the family, I totally suggest going to Quail Springs Mall and checking out the Aquarium. Thank you Blue Aquarium of Oklahoma City, you all did an awesome job!

Great place for kids to learn and experience different animal interactions. I found that the prices for feeding the animals were a bit overpriced and even though it was easy enough to buy the feeding tokens - getting the feed was a bit more difficult. Definitely a fun outing to take the kids on.

This place is awesome!!!! I was afraid it would be small and not worth the money. Boy, was I wrong!!! I bought the year pass to go back often!!!! I live over an hour away and plan on going no less than once a month! A great thing is, when you pay for your day if you love it and want to go ahead and get the year pass they will use your day pass toward the purchase of the year! They have lots of aquariums, including sharks!! They have a sting ray tank!!!! That part was my absolute favorite!!! There is also a bird room where you can feed parakeets and a reptile room with several different types of reptiles. Lots of play places for kids to play. I would definitely recommend you going!

The Blue Zoo was great. Lots of fun for the kids and a lot going on to keep them entertained. It is crowded so if you have uncontrollable anxiety this will not be your place to go. The mermaids are only there at 4pm so if that's one reason why you're going do not go early. Otherwise, great place.

We had a very enjoyable experience and it wasn't busy at all. Merissa was outstanding in making us feel welcome and valued as guests. My kiddo loved it and we will be back again. Definitely buy the feeding tokens; that really made the trip so much more engaging!

My three granddaughters enjoyed their time here immensely! However, its a bit pricey for what all there is to do, which makes it accessible for only wealthy folks and that makes me sad. It’s basically and indoor playground with fun aquariums and other animals which kids love, but Blue Zoo would still make loads of money if they charged a more reasonable price.

This aquarium was a blast! It is a little bit small but considering it's in a mall it's pretty impressive. My husband and I went for the first time and we had fun. The aquarium is centered more toward kids and there were a lot running around, but overall we still enjoyed ourselves. I would suggest buying tokens because they allow you to feed the animals and that was the best part. 10 tokens were $25 and we got to feed everything once. Overall it cost $65 for me, him, and the tokens. There are interactive tortoise, stingray, and snake areas. You get to pet the animals without tokens but not feed them. Stingrays were incredibly friendly and wanted to be pet (or hoped for food lol). The staff was very friendly and were very knowledgeable about the animals. Overall 10/10, would return!

Not bad, thought there'd be more to do for the price. Employee's were watching us like they were cops and we were wanted criminals (imo), but the kids enjoyed themselves so I give it a 4.

My sister and 8 children and me had a really good time. Yes it's at a mall I was impressed at how much hands on for the kids that there is. It can get a little pricey and some animals didn't want to eat .we got to see a snake get fed. They had lots to do besides the animals. They even had a mermaid show!!

  • 5/5 Amber L. 7 months ago on Google
Went on a Monday and it was still pretty busy but not overcrowded. Definitely geared towards very young kids. There are two indoor play areas with padded flooring that are good for just walking up to about 5 or 6 years. You can pet sting rays and feed turttles. We did not stay for any of the shows so I cannot comment on those. But overall its good for about 2 hours of entertainment. Clean, friendly staff, seems safe. I do think it is a bit pricey for families for what you get.

We had an absolutely amazing experience diving with the sharks! The staff as a whole was really friendly and welcoming. Billy, the divemaster, was super knowledgeable and an all around pro at teaching us about what we were about to do. We felt super safe in the tank, and it was truly an experience of a lifetime!

We really enjoyed out trip to the Blue Zoo!! Us as adults found this is more of a children's play area.. however the exhibits we did see we ENJOYED!! We really loved touching the sting rays!! Everyone who works there was very nice and very kind. It was very clean and the animals look very well taken care of. We had such a nice time and we were very surprised it was in a mall. But we were very happy with our trip and we will go back sometime. If you have children they're going to love it there!!

We went later in the afternoon around 4pm and it wasnt too packed. Plenty of space to move around and enjoy all the things this place has to offer. My boys loved the sting rays, turtles and birds. Anything they can touch is a WIN! They loved the mermaid and also the playground. Cute gift shop, just sad they didnt have any books about the aquarium animals. But it was a great experience and will be going back for sure. Staff are super nice and very helpful as well.

Cons : I feel like this place is very overpriced for what it is. It is basically a young child’s playground with tanks in the walls. We paid $58 for my 3 year old daughter and myself plus 4 feeding tokens which were $10. The only animal available to feed was a tortoise. So those went to waste. My daughter was bored and ready to leave after 1 hour. I was honestly bored the entire time. All of the restroom stalls were out of toilet paper and paper towels and it was 11:30 AM - they opened at 11. I’m not sure why but a lot of the animals weren’t on exhibit. It’s just over priced in my opinion. We probably won’t be back. Now the Pros : My favorite part was the sting rays which you could actually touch. The employees were also very friendly.

  • 2/5 Deborah L. 2 years ago on Google
My 6 year old liked it. Me and 9 yr old not so much. The animal interactions is very limited. Mostly jungle gyms for young kids. A lot of people. Felt bad for the animals...mostly the birds, trapped in a concrete room with 2 fake trees.

  • 3/5 Cyn G. 10 months ago on Google
It’s cute and has some to offer. It’s inside the mall. The only thing I didn’t not compromise was the price for the few windows we watched. If you have small kiddos I mean age 4&under then yes very worth and cute entertainment they will Love and enjoy if your kiddos are older no it’s not worth they will only enjoy the sting ray touch the turtle touch that’s about it. The price was overwhelming.

It's a really expensive indoor playground. As a kids aquarium it tries hard to be both an aquarium and a playground and make it fit together, but really it doesn't do either one very well. It doesn't have enough animals to justify it being an educational experience. And, it also is way too expensive to justify taking your kids there to play. We can spend 1/3 of the ticket price at a dedicated indoor play place for my 2 kids. It's only worth it for us when I can get my kids in for free, when they have those kinds of offers. I bought an annual pass when they offered a special to add your kids for free. otherwise it would have been over $350! It would take 5 visits to justify that expense, and for what you get we wouldn't normally go 5 times in a year. I understand that it is a for-profit organization, and they need money to take care of the animals. But, when we can get both the Zoo and the Science museum for that price, I know what my choice would be. On a side note, the last time we were there, my husband went out to the front to get more tokens and he stumbled upon the reception taking a big ole toke from her e-cig, making the biggest cloud. Sure enough, it was pot. When we left an hour later, you could still smell it. I don't care what you do but, do it outside.

  • 5/5 Kelly T. 3 years ago on Google
We recently got the annual pass and this is our second visit. It's a great escape where you can learn something and they have two indoor playgrounds so that's a bonus. We are probably going to have his fourth birthday here next year.

It was fun and very interactive with hands-on touching the animals. I will definitely go back again. Blue Zoo was a fun place. Friends accompanied me last month and we had a blast. I wanted to be a marine biologist as a kid so I’ve always been fascinating with sea life. It’s such a neat concept to put an interactive aquarium inside a shopping mall. There are currently only 3 in the country, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Spokane, Washington. We all had a good time . My friends fed the stingrays & my favorites part was the shark tank. 🦈 they have lots of animals beside fish including snakes, reptiles & birds. Several play areas small kids will enjoy including a pirate ship & rock wall. Great place for hands on learning. If you plan on going several times a year I’d recommended getting an annual pass. Check their website for daily feeding and show schedules so you can plan your visit accordingly. afternoon at the aquarium. 🌊 🐠 🐟 🐙🐡🦀

While some may say it’s pricey, when you consider how expensive it is to run and maintain a facility like this the prices seem fair. Everything is extremely well done. My children (and myself) had a blast and cannot wait to go back.

Great experience. My kids 5 and 3 loved it. Getting to touch and feel the animals was amazing. My son loved the fishies that gave his hand kisses.

We had my daughters birthday this past week and it was awesome! Beau, the mermaid and the rest of the staff were super cool! The downfall of the party. We were told we could only be 15 min early to set up because someone else had a table in the room prior . Came from 2 hrs away, got there & nobody else was in the room. By the time I was done setting up, we probably only had 30min min to actually play and look around before a visit from the mermaid and a the snake. So you can buy add ons to the party, which I did the " mermaid & the snake" 30$ each wasn't bad, BUT I thought it was going to be a little private show for her , while it was actually a scheduled show, they had 3 mermaid in the shell when we first arrived to set up & they were already showing the snake up in the play area upstairs. So I really paid extra for nothing. The time. If you want to have to time to chill out, I'd rent the whole room for 2 sessions because 1hr 45min just wasnt enough by the time all out guest arrived. But overall it was a good 1st birthday for my baby & Nami (No-MEE) was awesome everytime I talked to her. She made me feel super special every time she called! The whole staff looks like some good chill people!

Great place for kids to learn and play. It wasn't exactly what I expected like Sea Life or other mostly aquarium based places. Pleasantly surprised because the kids had a ton of fun!

Such a great place inside Quail Springs Mall! You have to get some token, so you can feed some of the animals there! Covid-19 precautions are in place here as well.

My daughter absolutely adores this place! We've been twice since they opened last month and it's just such a super fun place! They have something like four different animal feeding experiences, lots of indoor playground areas and an awesome, eclectic array of animals to check out! The staff is super friendly and they definitely do a fantastic job of keeping the place clean! Would definitely recommend checking this place out and we cannot wait to go back!! ❤️

Nice for a small aquarium. It is rather expensive for no bigger than it is and for no more exhibits then there are. That being said, if you have a child, they would probably just love it. A lot of fun things for small children to do and very Interactive for them. The sharks are small sharks. They are blacktip sharks i believe. The birds, the only ones we saw were budgies.

One of OKC's newest/neatest attractions. A best fit for younger kids- the sting rays are bound to be the hit for most people as they allow you to feed and pet them! A good amount of it is interactive and should be very easy for most families to spend 2-3 hours here. Outside of the string rays the leading highlight for me was seeing all the other aquatic life and brightly colored fish in unique tanks (cities, statues, corrals etc.). Great layout design and a fun experience!

An amazing experience In a mall where you can touch almost every animal . The employees are super nice and eager to share information on the animals they care for . The bird room was a big hit with my family as was the stingray touch pool. They do have signs saying to wear a mask but it didn’t seem to be enforced by the employees as most other guests where either not wearing one or wearing it wrong. It is a great place to kill time with kids to let them burn off energy and learn something in the process
