I had the worst experience at J.Thomson Jewelers here in OKC! I wanted a matching band that was an exact replica of the band that was already connected to the engagement ring. They quoted me a specific amount of time that it would be done, but it was doubled. They also had agreed to engrave it, but they failed to do it because it was too small and they needed to send it out of store to get it done, so it was an extra week to get that done. (During the initial consultation, they boasted that all would be in-house because they had all the equipment on-site.) They made a "replica" but made it thicker without consulting me "because it would last longer if they made it thicker." Thus, it made it the wrong size and didn't match the existing band. Then, they soldered it together in an ugly way that was not neat and smooth. Even then, it was soldered off-centered which made the size too small to fit my finger! I would not let them touch the ring again after making such a mess of the family heirloom. I wound up taking it to another jeweler to fix it and it cost me another $500 to fix their mess. The work was second-rate and they did not seem capable of working with fine jewelry. I should have looked more closely at the displayed work to see it was not intricate work like I was needing and more like costume jewelry.

SUMMARY: He knows his business very well, he will treat you right, and you will be satisfied. Ten years, and multiple pieces of jewelry later, I'm still impressed. DETAILS: There are companies... and then there are craftsmen. Jeff is a real craftsman who takes his work to heart, and takes it seriously at the same time. When love, real love, finally struck I knew that only a truly unique ring would work to show her how much she meant to me. I spoke with a dozen jewelers around town, and online, but only one of them saw how important this ring was to me – Jeff. He showed genuine care and patience as I, an engineer with zero jewelry experience, tried to sketch (and even sculpt) my ideas for the ring. We went through paper drawings, multiple CAD drawings, and finally a wax mold of the ring-to-be. He and his team helped me go from concept to proposal in only two months (including several design updates). Never pushy, and helpfully honest and genuine about what he thought would work best for her ring, the final product was delivered the night before I hopped on a plane to go propose. On time, beautiful, and at a very reasonable price to boot. Ten years later, we are still married and she wears the creation that Jeff brought to life through his skill, patience, and all around good manner. I have taken several other projects to him over the years, and never been disappointed – and I'm sending him another project today.

I love all the jewelry that I've gotten or had made from J Thomson over the years. They are so knowledgeable, professional, exceptional to work with and the quality is superior. They are so talented and helpful.

Thomson jewelers resized a ring for me and did a wonderful job. They also, rhodiumed my wedding bands and they look brand new. Above all the customer service was amazing. I look forward to going back.

I cannot say enough about this place and would not trust my jewelry with anyone else! I brought in several rings that were broken and old and they were from my mother. I did not think they would be able to repair them. I really wasn't sure what we could scrap from them. But it turns out that they were able to make all 4 rings look Brand New. The craftsmanship was perfect and I was very pleased with my experience and their level of customer service.

Jeff and his family were great to work with and did an amazing job! They custom made a gold pendant with diamonds out of some of my grandmother’s jewelry. Highly recommend them!

My wife and I had our wedding rings custom made here. We gave a rough idea of what we were looking for and received a mockup super quickly. Jeff captured what we were looking for so well that we didn't change a thing from his initial idea. The rings turned out beautiful and we couldn't be happier with them. The care and communication was great the whole way through and I recommend their services to friends and family any chance I get. It's amazing to have such a skilled custom jeweler right here in the metro.

What a fantastic experience!! Went looking for an engagement ring and had looked at some other jewelers. This experience was completely different. A custom experience with high quality knowledge and expertise with what I found to be an actual reasonable price. That’s a combination I could not find anywhere else. This is a small jewelry store that is well established. I have passed by this business living in Oklahoma City all my life. I was recently gifted a piece of jewelry from here and the necklace chain length was a little too short so we took it back in. Their customer service was fantastic. They upgraded the necklace chain and gave me a longer one free of charge or I guess it was included in the original purchase price but they did a fantastic job and it was a very quick turn around time. My husband and I have worked with Jeff on multiple occasions. My husband did a custom ring with Jeff about 7 years ago and it turned out beautifully. I recently lost my ring and had a pleasant experience with the insurance company Jeff had recommended, and worked with him again to make a new custom ring. Just like before, it turned out beautifully. He also resized my wedding band and you could not tell anything had been done to it.

Brought my mother of pearl necklace pendant in to fix the chain. I should of took the pendant off but thought they might clean it in the process. When I picked it up the pendant had lost all of its shine. I was confused when I saw it because it looked different. Carissa was very quick to say they didn’t touch it even though I could tell the silver around the pearl looked to have been cleaned. I was heartbroken because my mother bought me that necklace on a trip of ours and it is my only real piece of jewelry. I wore the necklace two days later and the area where the chain was fixed broke again. I definitely don’t trust their quality work. Please learn from me and don’t leave your irreplaceable jewelry with them.

I am so sorry for the belated review. It has been a crazy summer! Back in December of last year my fiance and I started the long journey of trying to find the perfect place to help us create a pair of custom engagement rings. I'm a picky person and wanted something a bit more unique and special (not a diamond fan). So we ordered custom lab alexandrite from Stag and Finch. But for the setting we wanted some nice engraving and were delighted when we came across Jeff's website. We were in contact with a few different custom jewelers but Jeff was the only OWNER to give us such a quick and welcoming response. I created some illustrations for the design and his team helped us with every step of the process (CAD, roughs, etc). I was so impressed with the care that Jeff puts into his work and his customers. When there were a few mistakes with the rings he immediately offered to have his team fix and redo them for us. I was so amazed and grateful to work with Jeff for our first set of custom jewelry. The level of transparency he gave for all the price breakdowns blew me away. I'm used to bigger companies hiding hidden fees behind a black box, but Jeff really wanted us to understand everything we were paying for. It's really lovely to be able to see the human craftsmenship of our rings. Jeff's engraver is extremely skilled and he really made my initial designs come to life. The end products are a perfect symbol of my relationship with my fiance and I am proud to wear mine. I just want to say thank you SO much againto Jeff and his team. I really appreciate all your hard work and I hope we can work together again some day. And I am sorry for the picture quality. It's very hard to take pictures that do these rings justice!
