I
am
from
Phoenix
and
was
in
town
for
my
grandmothers
funeral.
I
relapsed
after
two
years
immediately
after
her
funeral,
locked
myself
in
my
hotel
room
for
5
days
and
did
nothing
but
drink.
I
knew
I
had
to
sober
up
and
the
only
way
I
could
do
it
was
remove
any
means
to
get
alcohol.
I
asked
my
mom
to
take
me
to
a
treatment
center
with
good
reviews.
Like
with
anything
there
were
good
things,
but
unlike
a
lot
of
things,
I
couldn’t
really
say
anything
bad
about
the
place.
Personality
conflicts
like
with
anything,
but
the
staff
was
nice,
the
therapists
seemed
to
care,
and
the
ladies
in
the
diner
were
kind
enough
to
make
me
a
special
diet.
Recreation
in
treatment
centers
can
be
quite
challenging,
but
Landmark
had
a
basketball
hoop
and
a
sand
volleyball
court
outside…although
the
“sand”
on
the
court
was
severely
lacking.
The
rooms
were
adequate
and
clean,
but
I
suggest
bringing
some
nicer
linens
and
your
favorite
pillow.
I
had
been
to
one
other
treatment
center
in
the
past
and
the
clients
here
seemed
to
be
much
more
serious
about
recovery
than
the
previous.
The
staff
interacts
regularly
with
clients
and
attempts
to
keep
anyone
from
isolating.
It
wasn’t
Club
Med,
but
it
was
just
what
I
needed
at
just
the
right
time
and
I
have
been
sober
since
the
day
I
entered
those
doors.
