Loved it! The bird exhibit was amazing! Having 20 birds land on u for nectar and staying (after nectar was gone!) To play with my jewelry was an experience I will never forget! And the baby elephants!!! Omg, soooo cute!

Fantastic family friendly, highly walkable zoo. All the exhibits and the grounds are very well taken care of. Ticket prices are very reasonable and the family pass is an amazing deal. Good for many hours of fun and multiple repeat visits.

This is a great Zoo. It's over 100 years old, but very current. Because of it's age it retains something of a Edwardian city park feel. The animals do have a more natural habitat than they would have had then. The only thing I didn't like was that the price of tickets doesn't cover several of the attractions. $3 per person on the Carousel, $4 to see the Sea Lion show, $6 to ride a camel (I admit I paid for that one! Highly recommended!) Etc. Also, don't come hungry. Food is Disney priced. They will let you bring a backpack, though. You can get more expensive tickets that cover about everything. If you're taking the kids, you may want to look into it. Prices range from $11-29 for tickets.

A wonderful city zoo that feels like you are in the country. Big habitats for animals and well laid out green spaces. A great zoo!

I haven't been to the zoo in years, but it was awesome. Last time I went they were still building the new Asian area. I saw it yesterday, and it is awesome. They also have a dinosaur exhibit that is pretty cool as well.

Doing tourist things after being a resident since 2016... this was on the list of to-do' as a dad .....Great place to see some of the animals. Construction had some areas shut down. Not a bad time at all. We got to see some animals and the girls loved the play areas ...all of them. The food station/beer stations had a variety of menus and were strategically placed and pricing wasn't over the top expensive... I was pleasantly surprised. The parking is close!...& I liked the exercise... I am in firm belief that the overall planning and logistics of this park are professionally done & handled well! This venue is a must visit if in the area and you like animals/nature. The girls had a blast and that is what matters most!! 10/10 times I will return.. for the price I paid... I could see myself doing this at least 4 times a year. Already been 4 times since the 1st visit 😉... Year pass purchased and the girls love it. Sidenote the people in guest service station and front gate were super awesome. I left the diaper wallet/bag and a full thing of wipes in the men's room near the baby changing table... I came back 45 mins later and diaper wallet was there but not the wipes... Someone needed them more than me. Has a spare pack in the stroller. Respectfully, Bryan Yukon, Oklahoma

Went to experience the OKC Zoo Lights and Dino event! It was absolutely fantastic!!! The 3D light displays were dazzling and the Dino animatronics were magnificent!!! If you haven't already bought your tickets, better do so soon!

Bring your hiking shoes and sunscreen. You will need it unless you spend $30.00 to rent a motorized scooter for the day. Can't wait until the construction on the African section is complete next year!

This zoo is BIG. I'm sure it's not as big as some of them out there, but almost too big to see in a day. Certainly too big to enjoy properly, everything they offer, in one day with a four year old. Be prepared to buy or bring plenty of water/beverages and if you're with kiddoes, you'll likely get to buy an extremely expensive lunch as well. (You can't bring food in.) That being said, they had an excellent selection of food options available. If you can deal with the 30 minute line wait and another 15 for your food, you're in good shape. They have a large variety of animals, almost all of them (minus most of the big cats) were out for us to admire and gawk at. The giraffe enclosure felt like a miserable three mile walk with no shade in scorching heat and it was absolutely NOT worth it one we got to where they were feeding them. Which, apparently, if you don't get there an hour early, aren't going to get to do because there's much too much of a line there, too. (With absolutely no shade their, either.) Beyond the giraffes, the reptile building was packed to the gills with people. They should - even without Covid concerns - be monitoring how many people were in that building at a time. It was wall-to-wall bodies and you could barely move. We left that scene pretty quickly. We did really enjoy the nocturnal animal enclosure with the bats and owls, as well as getting to see a gorilla - that's been on the kid's to-do list for an entire year. The seals were fun too. And the eagles were a delight. Overall, it was a well kept zoo with a lot to offer and see, and I suppose if we had been better prepared and had a better mapped out path, we'd have done better overall, but in the end, I felt like it just wasn't that great of an experience.

I have purchased a zoo pass for the last 20 years. It's a great place to let the kids be free and get in some steps. They are making a lot of changes in 2023. I am excited to see what they plan to do with the old buildings animals are currently in. It seems like they are moving all animals closer. Buy a pass it's worth it. They have gone up.

We did a lot of Walking. It was a lot of fun. There was a storm that came but there was buildings all over that you were able to take cover in. Everything was nice and clean. Animals all looked good. Granddaughters had a lot of fun.

Was excited to go to the zoo with my family but highly disappointed today. Workers were less than enthused to be there and it showed. Grant at the carousel was non engaging with everyone, even resting his hand and chin on his drink bottle, never making eye contact and monotone take money. Food was sub par at the food court with employee getting upset that I mentioned I was a zoo member for discount. Pat, I think that was her name, very rude and short telling me with my 15 month old grandson, not to pet the goats through the fence, that we had to go into the petting zoo to pet one, because we are causing bad habits. Um, approach people different about that, take away the benches that butt up to the fence and hang signs. Funny how she said something but neither worker that was in there did, nor did she approach the others that was doing the same thing. I've worked at the zoo a few years back for a season, it was a great, enjoyable place to work and I did it just for the experience. The workers there were blah. Will definitely debate on keeping my membership that I get every year. Animals were out and about, which was a definite highlight for my grandson.

The best time to go to the zoo is a cool rainy day. All the animals were out and about and ready for photos.

The zoo is always a fun trip, however it's under construction. Over half of the exhibits is closed down. I dont think it is worth the expense. It would have been nice for them to warn people about the lack of exhibits before purchasing tickets. There is still some open that's worth seeing tho.

The zoo was under construction in many areas when we went in late October and was disappointed. Majority of exhibits were closed and animals hard to find. No warning that we saw so do some homework before loading up the family and investing the money. Unless you just enjoy the steps! Sure it will be nice once everything is done.

Every place was clean. Animals obliviously well-cared for. Docents were readily available and answered our questions clearly. Well-thought signage explained exhibits without info overload.

Best zoo I've ever been to. So very much to see.

👍👍 Sometimes it is the simple things in life that make you the happiest. First let me start out by saying that an ex girlfriend broke up with me at this coffee shop years ago, so it has a special place in my broken heart. That being said I still love coming back to enjoy the food and people watching. F...
