Warning,
billed
later
and
sent
to
collections
after
told
my
account
was
fine
and
I
had
a
working
card
on
file.
I
was
a
member
here
and
while
I
was
a
member
I
had
no
issues.
Paid
on
time
every
month
and
used
the
facilities
regularly
without
issue.
When
I
moved,
I
no
longer
would
be
near
a
Gold's
therefore
I
cancelled
my
membership
with
the
front
desk.
Spoke
to
the
front
desk
to
cancel,
attendant
took
care
of
it
and
told
me
my
gym
access
would
be
cut
off
after
30
days
--
normal
stuff,
no
problem.
I
asked
if
there
were
any
fees
or
payments
left
and
I
was
told
"No,
you're
good
to
go".
I
went
to
the
gym
a
couple
more
times,
then
moved
thinking
everything
was
fine.
6
months
go
by
and
suddenly
I'm
getting
calls
from
collections
agencies
saying
I
owe
the
Gold's
money
after
I
had
specifically
been
told
everything
was
good
to
go.
I
have
a
hard
time
verifying
this
and
why
the
amount
is
higher
than
what
a
monthly
payment
would
have
been
despite
being
told
my
account
was
good
and
having
a
valid
card
on
file.
And
I
was
informed
there
were
no
cancellation
fees
when
I
cancelled.
Collection
calls
are
nearly
unintelligible
due
to
loud
call
center
noises
and
strongly
accented
English,
which
I
believe
is
farmed
out
to
foreign
collections
agencies.
Despite
being
off-put
by
the
entire
experience,
I
go
ahead
and
pay.
A
month
goes
by
without
word
and
suddenly
I'm
getting
calls
yet
again,
this
is
ridiculous.
I'd
had
a
favorable
view
of
Gold's
but
can't
recommend
anyone
sign
up
given
how
this
has
been
a
nightmare
to
cancel
a
membership.
