Okay to be honest, this restaurant doesn't even deserve a star. I don't know about others who have given their reviews, but my personal opinion, DON'T go to that restrau. We had one birthday celebration and the decoration was totally subtle, like really ordinary. The food charges are so high, even on zomato.. we ordered 3 items and that was 3k above.. like how the hell ??? I have gone to other restaurants and that too really good one, even their prices are not this high. Price wouldn't have mattered if the taste was good. But they provided us with stale food and all of us are now having food poisoning. Some are vomiting, some are having headache, stomachache and loose motion. I am so very disappointed. Even the washroom is not separate. There is no space but I don't know why and for what they are charging so high. I have also attached one picture here where it shows their small and conjusted washroom where you go to wash your hands and nature's call. In that one washroom both men and women are allowed, only one at a time.. that means you have to form a queue and wait for your turn. And the most frustrating part, that washroom doesn't have a mirror.

Food was decent but the price was way higher than it should be. I see comments from others saying its a budget friendly restaurant. I went with my friend and ordered some starters and they billed me Rs. 1145 which I think is high compared to what I would have been charged in other restaurants. Also they gave me the bill in manual writing and no printout. Even they asked me yo pay using UPI and said card payment isn't available. I have attached the bill with the post. Can anyone verify if its genuine or did they just scam me?

Update: During this pandemic, this restaurant is still very much maintained its Aroma, taste and ambience. Where a lot of other restaurant is facing much difficulty in floating the establishment, The Chef is held it's head above the rest. Though I'm a frequent visitor here, I always find their recipe, especially veg. recipe very tasty and healthy. Update as on Sept 2019 They have added few new recipes in their kitchen. I tried one called "Veg Bahar", taste of which is excellent. It's main ingredient is Palak. It's not that pricy and also the quantity is sufficient for three persons. Update I just visited the this restaurant yesterday on 8th Sept 2018. That doesn't mean after a long time I went there. I'm a frequent foodie there. The reason of updating this review after such a long time is the reason of good positive change there in the form of good polite and professional waiters there. It seems many old staff were not there and those old staff were replaced with some through professionals like Ganesh Pradhan. He seems to be very caring and good human being. But it's just my first interaction with him. Let see how it taking shape. So I'm updating my review with a five 🌟 from four 🌟. It's a very good restaurant where the vegetarian items are very tasty. Price is reasonable.

went for dinner tonight.. not a single person was around. spread in a very small place.. it was way too pricey.. would not recommend it.

Food was good average taste, the quantity as per the price is not sufficient & fulfilling. The experience could have been more delightful. Overall you can give it a shot once.

Great family restaurant... Budget-friendly and best in town ,..food is good in taste .. can suggest this restaurant for visiting but it is not situated by side of the road ... it's situated under a building .

The restaurant ambience was fine, not so fancy but the prices were soaring too much. I had expected a better quality food but it was of very standard quality respective of their prices which was actually very high. I have been to restaurants with low prices, ambience and better quality of food.

It was an amazing experience with delicious food. We never expected that it would be so great. But after having every food item is extremely good. Not too much rush, cool and clean. The price is normal. Must try chicken zafran. Soup 🍲 also outstanding. We loved it! Hope you will enjoy it!

Starter tastes so good. Main course I felt little spicy. I tried paneer tikka masala. But others tried fish and mutton. As per their view taste is good.

The Chef .. let me have a good laugh at it first .. what kind of a restrau is situated under a building? It was difficult to find tho. Apart from location, the things that happen inside the restrau is at whole different level. On 11th we had celebrated a birthday party. The Decoration charge was 1k and this is how they had decorated (picture attached). The food, oh my God, can't even touch the pricing. It's so expensive for a small restrau like this. Owner please tell me why do you charge so high ?? Is there a particular reason or you just put the price as you guys want ?? If you don't go on a strategic manner, this restrau will not run for long. Do you even about business ethics and strategic planning ??? The food you served was stale and so we all are having food poisoning, even some of our friends got hospitalized. They are unable to have food becoz of this. I was calculating regarding the food we ordered at much higher prices of marker value and still it showed that you have looted max 1500/- from us. And what shall I say about the washroom facility. Is it even considered as washroom ? The washroom in my home is much better than yours. You will wash your hands where you pee. Nice infrastructure planning 👌 Guys, if you want to waste your money, you can go for it. To the people who found it tasty and delicious and heavenly and also recommending it, I don't know may be this is your first time but if you try other options, you will come here and spit.

Chinese Food was good. Indian food could have been better. Drums of Heaven is just fried chicken lollipop! Since there are no explanation of each food item on the menu, ask the waiter for every item you order, to avoid ending by ordering incorrect item! The price of food is too high for the ambience, taste and service. They also charge additional charge for packaging of leftover food, per container pricing!

It was an amazing experience to dine at The Chef. We went out after a long duration cuz of COVID-19. We had a lot of different starters like Bali/Barley Prawns (a must eat), stuffed mushrooms, paneer Taipan, paneer chatpata, barbeque chicken, along with Singapore rice & noodles with shredded chicken in garlic sauce, American chopsuey with curry & a sunny side up egg. The food was amazing. The Chef doesn't disappoint when it comes to main course as well. The starters rock and the main course is the cream on top. It was my first time eating at The Chef and I would recommend eating there to any foodie. Can't wait to go back there again. Ps. They do home delivery for upto 10 km area around restaurant. & This isn't a paid review, we genuinely LOVED th food. Will share on Insta too.

I used to go to this restaurant during my college days, after a long time I tried here. Ambience is different now, but still a cozy place. Now the chef is different because the taste is different in comparison to previous. The cost is equivalent to bigger restaurants but the facilities and atmosphere is not that standard. I will say not pocket friendly but I can try here once.

Not a great experience. Just regular kind of food yet very high price. The food served were unusually cold, which made the experience very bad. Only good thing was food wasn't oily.

Food was awesome but place is little small. Chiken Tikka and chilly manchurian fried rice .. price and quantity is decent..🙂

The serving was great, it was a quite n preferable environment, they also accepted card payment, the food also tasted superb! Me n my family didn't like eating briyany outside because of its bad quality, but we enjoyed it this time a lot! They even had great musics to hear, loved it had a great time. Redit-editting the review after a year and it still gets better!!

The name shouldn't be the chef. It should be The hawa.... Can't know why the rating is so good for this restaurant. You will find more tastier cost effective food in a normal restaurant. That's why you hardly see more than 2 customers there when you visit the restaurant.
