This is biggest "pure veg" restaurant in ooty Town. Pros: 1.pure veg 2. Big catering area for dining 3. Multi cuisine - north Indian, south Indian, Chinese, chaat, sweets available. 4.clean 5. Toilets for men and women. 6 attentive staff 7.quick service Cons- filter coffee and Chai are overrated. If you want to taste only these, go for "coffee house" restaurant nearby. It is cheaper and serves best.

The food is less tasty as compared to the Adyar bhavan restaurant in Coimbatore. Went there expecting it .. Tried the ghee roast, uthappam, channa batura, All were just good. The service is good as they serve the food fast and hot. There is an attached snacks counter with varieties of snacks. Parking is limited. Rates are reasonable. The chutney and other sides were average.

Pure veg food. Suitable for North Indian and south indian snacks, Chinese food is also available here. It is very popular restaurant chain in south India specially in Tamilnadu. Known for its hygiene and taste, the restaurant has good space for 50-75 people at a time and still we had to wait for seats. Mostly people share table here. Some tables have self service option also. Soup is not available in self service table (soup is good as it is very cool here and quantity also good). Filter coffee is costly for Rs 40. Generally in other A2B it is 25-28rs. Sandwich is not grilled and they give white bread so order accordingly. Service wise it is delayed we didn't get even tissue papers even after asking 2-3 times, taste and hygiene wise it is recommendable.

The place has both pros n cons tied in my opinion. One one side, the place offers huge parking space in the heart of Ooty, clean toilets and delicious menu. But on the other side, we have to wait a long time for the order to get placed, finding an empty table and the overpricing. I had ghee roast, idlis and vadas with some coffee and it was exceptionally good in my opinion. But I'm not sure that the price justifies it. And about staff management, they have a lot of staffs in the restaurant, but are not managed appropriately causing literal chaos.

Great food, loaded of people , wide range of dishes and taste is great of almost all items. Give full stars for good taste . I cut 1 star for loads of people and as a result slow service . Tea is awesome, I recommend because of food it's worth it.

The food they serve was delicious but still they have the old style foods. No new n innovative items added to the menu... For food and place I give - 4 stars but for service it deserves only - 2 stars..... The can't handle if there tables are full... They take order and go away and you hardly find to see them again..... They have work lot on improving the service standard.Fantastic vegetarian hotel. Quite expensive. But cost worthy. Traditional and authentic taste is being served for many years. Very clean atmosphere. Water quality is also good.

Typical pure vegetarian A2B. Getting a seat and getting attended is something that you need to expect as delay. The food is good and feels authentic. Prices are premium, parking space is available on the rear. Pongal is something that tastes awesome, a must try I would say. One of the good one's I could find in Ooty.

One of the popular landmarks in Commercial Road, OOty serving authentic South India Tiffin. The outlet is over crowded. Being authentic hotel which is famous for South Indian food, did not expect the quality provided for the hefty amount charged. They have ample parking space . Ambience is good and staff are courteous. Single vada priced at Rs50 was utterly disgusting. Tea/coffee costs 40 each! Items are too pricy and quality provided is too low. Just runs on brand name.

One of the great place to have breakfast and brunch in Ooty. Food quality is descent like other A2B. Price wise also reasonable like other branches. If you are visiting in weekends then expect a lot of crowd. It’s hard to get a seat and have to wait to order food and get it. Self service. If you are in car you can park it in their free parking lot. Bikes can be parked on the road and that is up to you.

Order idly wada, poori masala and channa bature. Taste was ok ok. Resturant was almost crowded but got seat. Service is delayed some. Prices are moderate. Resturant is clean and hygiene. Can also park the car easily in front or back side of restaurant.

I would not recommend this place for bigger families during festive times. I went through the worst moments with my family. Taking their own time by wasting the customers time. My family had to create a harsh fuss to get through the problem. Inadequate working experience, they behave like they are starting to work now only. Delayed delivery of the orders.

A decent restaurant in the centre of ooty. Serves North Indian, South Indian, Chinese dishes, Chats, Sweets and Savouries. Though the price is on the higher side for the quantity they serve the dishes are yummy. Waiting time is extremely high during peak hours. We had all three meals during the stay.

Had breakfast at Anandha Bhavan. We tried vada, masala dosa, rava masala dosa, aloo paratha, ghee roast, kesari, and poori. The food is a bit too expensive; one vada costs 50. The chutney was okay but needed more salt. Kesari was really yummy. Other dishes were tasty too. They offer South Indian, North Indian, and chats on their menu as well. They have clean bathrooms and parking in the basement.

Very good vegetarian food at a reasonable price. Extremely crowded. Waiting time is a little longer. They need more staffs to manage the rush and demand properly. Free parking available at the basement. Generally a clean place. Food is outstanding. Special Ghee Roast Dosa and Filter coffee are must to have. Overall a very good experience.

Visited on a bustling Saturday at this popular eatery. Limited tables, prompting a wait, and self-service is advisable due to the busy staff. Despite the hustle, the food impressed; idli, dosa, and vada were highlights. Three chutney varieties accompanied, though they were just okay. The challenge lay in catching a waiter's attention. The overall experience is positive, especially for the delectable South Indian dishes, but the crowd and service dynamics might require some patience.

The food was authentic and delicious. Special mention to the Vadas and badam milk. We tried a lot more and all of them were worth it. The service wasn't very great. We encountered rude behavior from a staff.

Adyar Ananda Bhavan - A2B Located on - commercial road, next to the charring cross - Adam's fountain. Parking space is huge, If you are in a car you can park it in their free parking lot. Bikes can be parked on the road and that is up to you. It may be a high rated place in the area and famous outlet in Ooty for dine-in. I had a very poor experience at this outlet. The restaurant was too noisy and loud sounds were heard from working staff, I felt like I was inside a Market area. Felt there is shortage of staff. One person running around taking orders and serving for 10 tables! Tables occupied - where customers were sitting idle - din know whether they are waiting for food. Pathetic service with zero cleanliness/hygiene in the dining area. Ooty A2B franchise spoils the reputation of A2B. Waiting time is almost 30min for each order. Even after requesting the staff for getting the table and the floor cleaned, barely anyone responded. Restaurant pricing is little higher compared to other A2B outlets, Self service - food pricing should be seprate and low. Only cash accepted, no proper staff to handle - UPI payment and card payment We came to enjoy Ooty - not to tour Ooty A2B - lots of time got wasted as per our schedule. A2B is not a tourist spot. It's over hyped. This is for the A2B in ooty. Simple straight suggestion. Do not go. The staff is least bothered to take orders.

We went on a Thursday, for a week day it’s too busy. No tables available. We had to wait. Better to do the self service, as it is hard to find a waiter for help. The are really busy. Food is good. I liked their idli, poori, kesari. Didn’t like their plain dosa much. Three varieties of chutneys are provided. They are okay.

During our Ooty tour, we stopped by here for breakfast n lunch. Restaurant location is at odd place, no parking space. Ambience is average. We ordered chaats and cheese sandwich and the taste of chaats is good, however cheese sandwich was third class and ₹120. Very very costly and third class quality. Staff members are not so customer friendly.

Though food is good and in par with other A2B but prices are sky high. I would suggest to avoid this outlet as prices are atleast 25% more than the regular A2B you find elsewhere. Service is quick and efficient.

  • 3/5 Balaji R. 1 year ago on Google
Service is a bit slow, you have to literally go, chase and bring a waiter to the table to take orders.. quality and taste was good as like any other a2b.. located in a busy place and getting in and out would be a hassle.. apart from the service rest all good..

One of the best vegetarian restaurant at the center of ooty town. They have varieties of South, north, Chinese, chats. Taste is very good. Most of the food i tried were so good and i loved it. Very neat and clean ambience. Price is Llittle bit expensive like for one ghee dosa, it is 150/- but it's ok for the taste and service

It's the best option for vegetarian food at ooty. Extremely crowded as there are very few pure veg restaurants at ooty. We had to wait for an hour to get our order. Food is good. Filter coffee is the best here. U can get North Indian dishes, south Indian dishes, tea, coffe, chats etc. here. They have a parking lot in the basement. You cannot park your vehicle anywhere on the road where this restaurant is located.

Very clean and the decor was inviting. Had to wait a while to get the attention of the waiter. The thali was served in quick time and the waiter was attending me with additional helpings. Food was good, but cannot be called great. Rest rooms were clean.

A renowned brand for food is a welcoming sign in Ooty. But the place doesn’t look good inside. The food is OK. The service was fine. Not sure if in Ooty they charge more but this place was certainly expensive Well this is the only large brand so you may as well visit and enjoy your food.

One of the pure veg restaurant available in Ooty. We have come here for lunch and ordered South Indian meal (160rs)which served with below 1. One Chapati 2. Gravy for chapati. 3. Sweet 4. Samber 5. Rasam 6. Kolambu 7. Curd 8. Pulya 9. Rice All these will be served on banana leaf placed above steel plate. It's unlimited meal so you can request how much ever you want. Serving time is more and need to improve in it. They will take 10-15mins after order is told. They have washroom and 4 hand wash basins. Cleaning is good and well maintained. Overall 4 ⭐ from my end

Reliable and Reasonable. It's everything you would expect out of an A2B. I take this place as a safe option to fall back on whenever your experiments with food in a new place aren't going good. Food and value is fair. Filter coffee is the best I have had in Ooty.

  • 4/5 Milind G. 1 year ago on Google
If in doubt, go blindly and your veg food needs will get served. The same thing happened to me at Ooty. I chose Karakajukattal, a new dish and panyarm and my favourite rava masala dosa. They have a huge restaurant and during the season it will run full. Get ready to wait for a few minutes.

Food looks good, but the staffs are extremely non cooperative. I waited there for around 40 minutes to find a seat, its like the mightiest win, u have to follow who is eating up and likely to leave and stand behind their chairs and u got to grab a table when it becomes vacant. Its a totally unruly place. Unless ur too patient and willing to sacrifice ur self respect, A2B is not the right place. They serve superb food no doubt, but extremely arrogant and non cooperative.

Good place in ooty to have your food. But it's very crowded. I had been there for breakfast so had to wait in long que to get the tokens and again wait to get my food. The way chutney was served was unhygienic as there was no laddle placed inside the chutneys neither the staff was present to serve them.So people were just putting their used hands in the chutneys.Staff behaviour OK. Ambience OK. The taste of masala dosa good. Idly soft and vada fluffy. But a bit expensive wen compared to other hotels around.
