Valley Forge is a very mature destination, it is nicely arranged and clearly marked. If possible, I do recommend that you start from the visitor center. You can get a map, get your National Park passport stamped there before the whole loop visiting. There is a bike rental beside parking, very convenient. One thing I’d like to point out is that parking lot is relatively far away from visitor center and goes up, if you have seniors or young kids with you, you can drop them off in front of the visitor center before parking. The whole valley Forge site is kind of a loop, you can visit by car, bike or walk. The day we were visiting was very hot and we didn’t have a lot of time, so we were driving around the whole loop, there are parking lots at every attractions.

Ideal launching point for your Valley Forge visit. Very helpful staff that helped me figure out the best things to see in a 2-3 hour time frame. The intro movie (about 20 minutes) is worth watching if you need some reminders of context and history.

The Visitor Center at Valley Forge is a must-visit for anyone exploring this historic site. It provides a wealth of information, maps, and exhibits that enhance your understanding of the significant events that unfolded here during the American Revolution. The staff is knowledgeable and eager to assist, making your visit informative and enjoyable. The center also offers a well-stocked gift shop with a selection of relevant books and souvenirs. One of the most valuable aspects of the Visitor Center is its accessibility to the park itself. You can easily plan your tour of Valley Forge from here, with clearly marked trails and points of interest. It's an ideal starting point for your journey through history. Overall, the Visitor Center at Valley Forge plays an integral role in helping visitors appreciate the historical significance of this site. It's an educational and engaging stop that adds depth to your exploration of the park.

Very cool modern facility, amazing artifacts, incredible, monumental piece of American history. Nice gift shop but needs more variety. Wonderful experience for our family. Being in his Excellency George Washington's headquarters was humbling, walking the same steps as General Green, Steuben, Hamilton, Lafayette and of course our countries, correction, the world's 1st revolutionary victor who resigned his commision instead of simply assuming power. Pic of 2 chunky Germans, me & Baron Von Steuben

Very nice visitor center redo; informative movie, exhibits and rangers to help recreate the times during the revolutionary war with Britain, that was occupying Philadelphia as the Continental Army fought them from Valley Forge.

At the visitor center I very much enjoyed reading and viewing what was on display. The video that plays every half hour or hour in the other building is also very informative and well done if you are going here before you explore the rest of the site.

Great place for a walk or bike ride with nice spots of shade. You also experience a piece of history while you're at it, love it.

A well designed layout and shop fool of goodies, I definitely think the recent remodel was worth the money. I was particularly drawn to their selection of Revolutionary War armaments that are displayed in well organized/curated cases, including weapons used by the French, British and American forces at the time. The displays are hands on and good for kids as well which is nice as that's not always a priority for such places. They also had a movie that played regularly, though I missed seeing it personally.

Overall the Valley Forge National Historical Park as a whole is 5 stars. The Vistor Centre/Museum is minimal and/or sparse. In other words-MEH. It was very underwhelming, especially compared to other national parks and their visitor centres/museums. Considering the extreme historical significance of the area and the physical expansiveness of the park it is astounding. Maybe this is because of the park being new'ish when compared to other national parks and their museums. Valley Forge National Park did not become part of the NPS until the mid-1970's. (The Gift Shop/Bookstore was disappointing as well.) Then again, they have had 4 decades to improve it. Do not misunderstand, the facilities are modern & up-to-date-It is just that the history, information, displays and artifacts are paltry. We have been to many National Parks that are much smaller but have better museums. Like Whitman Mission National Historic Site NP in Walla Walla Washington, the Huffman Prairie Interpretive Center NP in Dayton Ohio or the museum at Golden Spike National Historical Park NP in Utah. Again we stress that on the whole the park is a must-see for all Americans. There is much to see and do, just do not expect a lot of the vistor centre/museum.

Great place to spend a day, I rented an electric bike and did the major points of interest. The park staff were friendly and polite. This time of the year is a little cool but no crowds and plenty of help with questions and no lines or crowds.

The remodel is nicely done. Amenities were easy to find. The exhibits were appropriate and not too numerous. The gift store was well stocked with a variety of souvenirs, books, and toys. Snacks are available at the check out area. Prices were acceptable. We all found memories to take bake with us.

Valley Forge is an incredible experience. Not only is the history significant, but driving around the site is stunningly beautiful, especially in fall. Absolutely worth the trip.

Trolley tickets are $20 without discounts. They say they have wheelchairs for the disabled. They had only one and it was broken. Sorry state of affairs for a huge facility. Office areas are huge and wonder what they do with taxpayers money. Displays were great but had to leave my wife on a bench because of the wheelchair debacle. I did call in advance and they said they had them. Not nice.

The park was really nice and the bathrooms are nice and clean. Overall the entire park was kept clean, some of the picnic areas had high grass but we're past Labor Day so maybe it is seasonal. I do have a few grips, the trails aren't marked and there isn't much signage along the way. Some of the trails on the map are inaccessible from both sides as some areas are closed to the public. There are a lot of bicyclists and surprising many people for a Friday, the first week of October. Overall, glad we made the 45 minute trip but I find some of the state parks closer to the house better for hiking.
