It's a great park for a short walk, to have a picnic and the kids can play on the playground. There also are some pretty creatures in the attached butterfly park, besides butterflies.

Wonderful for young kids. There's a nice playground, a butterfly park and beautiful trees. Parking is limited. There are port-a-johns.

The nicest small park for younger children. There's plenty for them to do such as swings, climbing islands with stairs and slides and a nice Nature Trail built by the Boy Scouts. Adequate parking and portable toilets. The trees are especially beautiful and very unusual. Most are marked with small identification signs.

A nice park to take a walk. Kids will like it, and there is a playground. A good place to take your dog for walks as well.

This park has a 200 year old tree that has a lightening rod up it. Very nice short nature trails. Along trails are a variety of bushes, shrubs, painted rocks etc.

This is a park with a story to it (which you can read on one of the information boards) and variety of trees planted and marked up for you to learn about each. Great playground for kids and a circular walking path around the park to walk, jog or cycle. Very family friendly space, highly recommend for bringing your kids there.

Great park to take the kids to play in the playground. Need more benches under the shades of the trees tho. Otherwise light traffic, in the park. Good for pokemon go gamers.

Your typical neighborhood playground with plenty of open spaces, swings and slides. No restrooms.

Clean and open area. Butterfly garden path in the back. The open field is somewhat by a main road so be cautious. However the kids play equipment is plenty back and away from any roads. Has a paved walking path around the outside.

Perfect Suburb Park. Walking trails, play areas, and a bit of open field. Parking isn't always the best but isn't an issue. Good spot for picnics as well

The butterfly trail is starting to come alive. The picnic area is a death trap for smaller children. One of the tables has a massive hole dug in the ground right as you approach the bench

There's a mini trail in there, perfect to take small kids on a nice nature walk.

  • 5/5 Juanita E. 1 year ago on Google
Great park for smaller and older kids. Picnic areas to have A snack or lunch. Also areas to walk around and get exercise.

This is a good place in New Jersey to bring young kids or people of all ages to hang out or go for walks. The only thing with this park is that there's no lighting whatsoever. If you're trying to go for a night stroll keep in mind that it'll be pitch black.

The signs naming each of the trees in the park is a really interesting feature. We also saw several rabbits in the park as we were walking around.

A paragon for doing a lot with just a little space. The park appeals to visitors of all ages: just astride the spacious parking lot is a large play area for kids; the periphery surrounding the play area consists of a collection of various types of trees, all of which are named, rendering the park both fun and informative; but best of all is the butterfly/nature trails, created with help from a local Boy Scout troop, which is a series of beautiful walks through woods and fields that leaves one wondering how it all fits into a little pocket of Rues Lane. A great place to visit with families, to take dates, or, as was my experience, for a quiet and contemplative walk by oneself.

Always a good time. Friendly park-users. Try the butterfly park in the back in the summer. Plenty of nice flowers and butterflies to observe. Not many walkable trails in the park, but there is a place for small children to play.

It's a beautiful park and you feel refreshed by simply having a stroll there

  • 4/5 Elizabeth G. 4 years ago on Google
Nice quiet park with a lot of trees. Many trees are labeled and the titular Great Oak is huge so it can be fun for kids to see. The playground is a bit small but it is good for smaller kids and there is a lot of walking space.

It has a nice cement trail around it. About 3/4 mile. Plenty of parking. Play area for the kids. You can walk your dogs. There is a lot of room to be away from others. Easy to find between Rues lane and Ryder's lane next to Hamershold school and Butterfly Park.

  • 5/5 KRAZY K. 5 years ago on Google
    Also known as butterfly park.

Nice playground, large open space. Unfortunately very hot in summer days and there's no water feature or shade at the playground. Unable to injoy it in summer.
