I
had
to
visit
the
Emergency
room
at
Robert
Wood
Johnson
Rahway,
NJ.
I
had
a
very
high
heart
rate
and
was
experiencing
symptoms
of
a
heart
attack
or
stroke
when
I
was
seen
by
hospital
staff
nurses
and
physicians,
including
my
primary
care
Doctor.
I
was
admitted
for
observation,
monitoring
and
testing
including
blood
work,
EKG,
CT
scans,
and
MRI.
I
was
experiencing
weakness
in
my
arms,
high
blood
pressure,
and
was
feeling
tired
and
confused.
At
time
of
admission,
I
signed
a
patient
consent
for
medical
treatment
HIPA
and
patient
responsibility
for
insurance
according
to
my
husband.
The
staff
gave
me
a
hospital
gown
and
a
hospital
bed.
I
was
then
taken
to
the
Imaging
area
where
tests
were
to
be
performed
by
two
technicians,
who
helped
me
remove
my
jewelry.
No
one
asked
if
I
had
any
implants,
dentures,
partial
dentures,
or
other
metal
objects
in
my
body.
The
technicians
ran
their
tests,
and
I
was
taken
back
to
my
room.
I
remained
in
the
ER
after
testing,
resting
in
bed
and
under
the
care
of
the
nurses
and
unable
to
use
the
bathroom
by
myself.
They
brought
in
a
tray
of
food
and
I
removed
my
partial
denture
and
put
it
on
the
table
next
to
the
tray
of
food.
I
did
not
finish
my
food
and
I
had
to
use
the
restroom
and
this
time
instead
of
giving
me
a
bed
pan
the
nurses
took
me
into
the
bathroom.
When
they
returned
me
to
my
bed,
the
tray
of
food
and
partial
denture
gone.
Either
housekeeping
or
someone
else
took
the
tray
away
and
cleaned
off
my
table
while
in
the
restroom.
My
Partial
denture
was
on
that
table
and
now
my
food
and
partial
denture
were
gone.
My
husband
immediately
notified
the
nurse
who
promised
to
look
for
it.
After
15
minutes
my
husband
asked
staff
if
he
could
look,
and
they
told
him
NO!
He
waited
and
went
to
the
cafeteria
area
on
his
own
and
was
told
by
cafeteria
staff
to
come
back
at
8:00
am
the
following
morning.
Sadly,
no
one
ever
looked
for
or
found
my
partial
denture.
My
partial
denture
costs
$2,775
to
replace.
Cafeteria
manager
Maria
Montaro
promised
a
replacement
for
my
partial
denture
on
July
7,
2023.
Meredith
Platzke,
the
Patient
Advocate
at
Robert
Wood
Johnson
Rahway
called
a
week
later
and
offered
me
$1,000.
When
I
asked
about
the
remaining
$1,775,
Meredith
told
me
I
would
have
to
work
out
a
payment
plan
with
my
dentist
because
the
hospital
will
only
pay
$1,000.
I
told
Meredith
that
I
cannot
afford
the
additional
$1,775
to
replace
my
partial
denture
and
I
didn’t
think
I
should
have
to
pay
anything
since
the
hospital
threw
it
out
after
they
were
notified
it
was
missing
and
would
not
even
allow
my
husband
to
look
through
the
garage
for
it.
Since
Robert
Wood
Johnson
Rahway
hospital
refuses
to
pay
the
$2,775
to
replace
my
partial
denture,
and
after
three
months
with
no
reply,
I
have
no
choice
but
to
post
negative
reviews
of
Robert
Wood
Johnson
Rahway
on
Google.
Yelp,
and
any
other
applicable
websites
plus
I
am
filing
a
complaint
with
the
Better
Business
Bureau.
BTW
–
In
discussing
my
experience
at
Robert
Wood
Johnson
Rahway
with
friends
and
family
who
work
in
the
medical
industry,
they
have
expressed
concerns
that
my
health
was
put
at
risk
while
I
was
at
Robert
Wood
Johnson
Rahway,
specifically,
when
the
technicians
performed
a
MRI
and
CT
scans
with
a
metal
partial
denture
being
left
in
my
mouth
which
could
have
caused
me
severe
personal
injury.
All
I
am
requesting
is
a
replacement
of
my
partial
denture
and
I
will
not
stop
warning
other
patients
of
my
experience
at
Robert
Wood
Johnson
Rahway
until
that
occurs.
