This place is absolutely gorgeous. Such chic place to hangout or spend time with yourself or to do your business. The interior is so cute. The bowls are pretty big and super delicious. So full to the top. The staff is amazing as well. Love coming here.

The people who work at this location are absolute gems. No matter what, when you walk through the door they make you feel welcome and offer great suggestions. This is my go to for lunch or dinner- there's no bad time of day for a playa bowl. Ingredients are consistently fresh and the location is very clean.

I tried ordering online as I had a large order for 6 but it was down so I was prepared to wait as it was also lunchtime. However, the two lovely workers got my order done in no time perfectly while handing out online orders on top of it. In a world where you’re lucky now if someone does their job it was so nice to have such a pleasant experience here I had to give 5 stars!! Thank you

i ordered thru doordash and i ordered a nutella bowl, after i placed the order i told the girl who answered the phone can you please make sure you ad extra extra extra nutella, when it comes i see that theirs a little drop of nutella on it. i had to drive all the way to walgreens just to get nutella cause i only eat it with extra nutella, thank you for ruining my night.

TL;DR - They do not pay attention to Celiacs. I had explained beforehand that the order was for someone who had Celiac Disease and it needed to be gluten free, and they understood (at least that's what they said). I had ordered a smoothie with nothing in it that could have been bad, or so I thought. 30 min later this person had severe pain in their gut and was vomiting every 5 minutes with gluten belching. If you or a loved one have a gluten sensitivity or celiac disease, do NOT go here. They do not take it seriously.

I have been a regular daily customer for nearly two years and always get the açaí nutella berry bowl. Today I had such a bad experience with Stephanie, the manager after she fixed my bowl. My bowl was only half full for the first time. I went back to the store and told Stephanie that I didn’t like the bowl this time cause it was only half full. She didn’t seem to care and told me that I’ve always been getting the same amount. I told her that’s not true cause her staff always fill it up. She said if they did that, then it means that they were generous to you. I pick up door dash orders every day and I know that customers always get a full bowl. Anyway, congrats, you just lost a customer. I’ll go back to Frutta bowls where I get more respect and appreciation.

I L-O-V-E Playa bowls. I am a new customer to this location and let me tell u I was ECSTATIC when I walked through the doors. I was helped by a lovely lady named Ava who not only had a smile on her face but put a smile on mine! I am 100% coming back to this friendly and amazing atmosphere.

Love it here! The açaí bowls are so good and the service is usually excellent. For the most part, the staff is friendly and the decor is so beachy and fun.

This was amazing! The lady who served me was named Ava. She greeted with a jolly look on her face! And she looked like she truly enjoyed working and making bowls. Service was impeccable, got my bowl in minutes (maybe less):)

We are frequent customers of the Marlboro location. Bowls are usually made well but lately the service lacks. I can stand there for 10 + minutes without asking if I need help while there is 4 workers behind the counter & today one was nasty to my daughter. Not happy about it.

I honestly don't want to be "that girl" and give a poor review but every order we have placed and we have placed an extraordinary amount over the last year plus, the bowl is NEVER RIGHT! I pay for extras I don't receive. Tonight was the last straw. We will NEVER return and will NEVER recommend. I ordered a coconut power bowl that online says comes with coconut flakes and almond butter; I received coconut base, granola, bananas that's it - NO almond butter and NO coconut flakes ! I have been disappointed each and every time. We have mentioned this numerous times to the staff, which clearly is NOT their fault. They are NOT trained properly or they are not being held accountable to learning the menu! Either way, I'm done.

My daughter and I come here a lot, and more often than not, the service is excellent. Understandably, sometimes the place can get really busy causing longer wait times than usual...but it's never for a lack of effort by the staff. We always get some variation of bowl, and they are consistently put together well. The place is clean and well maintained. The Marlboro location has become a regular haunt for us almost every week. We order on location and use the app to order ahead about 50/50. Both work well.

i ordered a fruit bowl because I do not eat açaí . in the past when i ordered it i would get a nice amount of strawberries and nutella . today when i ordered and i asked for extra strawberries and nutella i literally got a handful of strawberries it didn’t even cover the bottom of bowl . when asked why so little i was informed they now portion it. i could understand if i had açaí with it but it was just a few strawberries and a squirt or two of nutella . very disappointing . i would have paid extra for more as i even said i would like extra .

I love the customer service at this location everyone is very nice! Bonus 3k points for it being 8am!

Really good, really fresh, everyone was so nice. I like to go to this one over the mall if I’m just going for playa bowls because it’s quieter and the parking lot is easier. They also have indoor seating

It was my first time trying a playa bowl at the Marlboro location. The menu had so many choices and I couldn’t decide so the manager was really nice to me and explained how they make each base for the bowls to help me make my choice. She was extremely knowledgeable about ingredients and answered all my questions perfectly. Super nice staff and very beautiful bowls!!! I would definitely be back! :D

The manager at this location is an absolute nightmare. I’ve never been treated so horribly as a paying customer anywhere. She needs a class in business and customer service. My smoothie was made incorrectly. It’s an $11 smoothie so I simply asked for it to be remade possibly and went over the ingredients and what I was tasting. She made me stand there for 10 minutes while she stood at the computer with an attitude from the get go. I already had to come back and was late so I had asked if we could get the new order started since the employee behind her remembered me and I was just in within the hour. She got nasty and then tried to gaslight me that the smoothie was fine. When I told her it didn’t taste at all how I’m used to since I’m a frequent customer and order the same thing pretty often. She got aggressive and told me she would refund the order and would not make it saying “you can leave now, we’re good”…She refused to remake my order telling me and everyone in the store that I was “disrespectful”…I was a calm customer with a complaint. There’s a difference between being direct and being disrespectful and I was in no way doing anything other than asking for the order to be corrected. I didn’t raise my voice, curse, or do anything inappropriate. This way of doing business is so ridiculous I still can’t even believe this person has a job in customer service. I own a business specifically in customer service and also separately work in food service. I’m appalled at this experience. When you offer a product and a customer isn’t satisfied (within reason) it is your responsibility to the brand to correct it if possible so they have a better experience and you can maintain a good reputation.

Best playa place in NJ. I have tried the one in East Brunswick, Freehold & Cape May. Marlboro is the best location fresh ingredients, staff is pleasant and friendly.
