Nice place, it is consist of 4 points, needle hole point is the one you should not miss. From here you can see the elephant head with trunk touching the ground. Very less walking is required. Prefer to visit by cars rather than bus as they won't allow buses to the end parking place.

Kate's point offers a view of the entire valley. It is the best place to visit in mahabaleshwar, one can spend hours in this place. It has multiple options to keep kids occupied such as horse riding, games and others. Must visit. Good place to hangout with multiple activities available on site. The road reaching here is very narrow, so traffic congestion is expected. It is located about 8 km from bus stand at a height of about 1400 meters. Beside Kate's point, there are another two points here namely Echo Point and Needle Hole Point. The view of Krishna Valley, Dhom Dham dam and surrounding mountain is mind boggling. There are horse and camel rides available here. Beside there are food stalls serving snacks and juices. Another plus point is that cars can reach here easily so it is very suitable for children and senior citizens. Don't miss it...

Kate’s point is a famous view point in Mahabaleshwar that offers fascinating vistas of mountains, waterfalls and lake, all at one place. The best time to visit is post monsoon during late Sep- Oct when the weather is pleasant and mountains are lush green. Kate’s point is accessible by road and is easily walkable from the parking lot.

Beautiful view and large viewing area. Elephant head is also visible here. I visited here on June 3rd. Monsoon was not yet started here. Easy to walk around even for old people, from parking area floor is even with few steps here and there. Echo point is also there

Kate's point (or Elephant head, needle hole, echo point) is a great place to visit while in mahabaleshwar. The view from there is amazing and the cool breeze makes it overall a good experience. There are some food stalls where you can get snacks and beverages and more importantly there is parking near so it is not that big of a hassle. Do visit this place before 6 pm though cause that's when they close the gate.

One of the best points for awesome views in Mahabaleshwar. Breathtaking views of valleys, mountains, dam and different hues of jungle. Easily accessible by road and therefore suitable for children as well as elders.

During peak monsoons, all other points in Mahabaleshwar are drenched in fog with barely anything visible, probably because the air flow doesn’t happen between the hills At Kate’s point, fog dissipates quickly because of the big open valley. You can get a 360 degree view at this place and the scenery is breathtaking, especially in the monsoons

You can drive to this point. It's worth going there. On one side you ll be able to see the Sun rise and on the other side you can view the Krishna river and also a beautiful view of Koyna dam. If lucky you ll be able to see some birds not usually seen. You can enjoy the sun, the breeze and the drive to this point. It was so peaceful early in the morning around 7am. If you wait you can get tea and something to eat as well. Must go early morning to get beautiful views.

Visit for refreshing view ruined by the horse ride owners heckling tourist for a ride costing ₹200/- per head or ₹300/- for two heads (doesn’t matter if the head is just a year old). I am quite sure horse doesn’t feel the difference in weight but your pocket sure does.

Ome of the points to visit in Mahabaleshwar. This one lets you see most of the part below. There is also echo point and neede point here. And the elephant point is also visible from here. Lots of parking available here. I have been coming here since last 10 years now, the place has been totally commercialized. Lots of hawkers inside and outside with visitors. It used to be secluded and peaceful years ago. It can be a nightmare during monsoon as the world visits. Best time to visit is December as all points are visible and sunlight is not harsh on yoir skin.

This is a heavenly place situated on a mountain top from where you can see the beautiful valley with Lake at the bottom. You see a lot of waterfalls around, fog everywhere and cold breeze. This place is perfect with cup of tea. Absolutely recommended

A mesmerizing view of dooms dam and mahabaleshwar can be captured from here. From this point the elephant head view is also very clear. Be aware of monkeys as they will snatch food from your hand anytime and avoid feeding monkeys here.

Kate's point or elephant point is a main attraction in mahabaleshwar. It gives a great view of the valley with its lake and beautiful greenery. Monkeys roam around here and may take food from your hand but it is not a major nuisance. Elephant head like view of the view point gives it the name.

Nice view from top. It's one of the commercialized point of Mahabaleshwar. Be aware of monkeys. It's famous so it is crowded point. Car parking is bit issue as road is narrow which is leading towards point. Go early before sunset to get more out of this place.

Kate's Point area has 3 points in total; they are Kate's Point, Echo Point, and Needle Hole Point or Elephant's Head Point. It’s a best spot in Mahabaleshwar. Can actually see the elephant’s head easily.Scenic and breathtaking view of the Krishna valley below is gorgeous. Advice not to carry anything in your hands forget eatables monkeys will snatch phones / handkerchiefs/bags anything. Vehicles can easily reach to the main point.

The scenic beauty from this point is absolutely eye catching. The view is worth seeing if you are in mahabaleshwar. Spotted a white rock like thing from this view which we could not figure out what it is🤔. Recommended to take a binocular to view from here.

An exquisite panorama of the mountain precipice unfolds, unveiling a splendid river meandering through verdant peaks. Indulge in delectable snack selections to savor during your leisurely stroll. Don't miss the opportunity to witness the artistry of the temporary tattoo artist stationed beneath the majestic tree. Additionally, an astute telescope enthusiast awaits, ready to unveil and expound upon the intricacies of magnified vistas. Please be aware that parking availability is constrained, and at times, it may become congested with eager visitors.

I would say one of the most beautiful view points in Mahabaleshwar to visit even if you are on a one day trip. It gives you a breathtaking view of Lake, Elephant point, Dam and other mountains in front of it. There is also a waterfall very close to it. One can easily spend 1-2 hours here, click some awesome pictures. You can enjoy horse riding as well. 5 stars to it.

Views are stunning so are the monkeys. Enjoyed the horse ride with my 2 year old daughter ..they charged 200 for less than 10 minutes which I think is too much. Over commercialised - unnecessary toy car rides for small children .. I mean why would you spoil such places with these gimmicks. Car parking if you are lucky to find a spot you will get. We went in last week of December 2023 so it was packed with people. Overall a good experience.

Wow, oh my god i can't forget this one. I think weather plays a huge role when u visit places like these. we went when it was all rainy weather but it didn't really rain. The clouds, the air, the little small showers made it even more special.

Best peak of Mahabaleshwar till now. One gets the view of river and lake simultaneously. We visited at about 11 am in morning in winter. The sky was clear so we could see entire range and water bodies. Here also beware of monkeys. They steal your food and drinks. You also have tatoo makers and horses here.

Title: Kates Point Mahabaleshwar: A Scenic Marvel Nestled in the heart of the mesmerizing hill station of Mahabaleshwar, Kate's Point is a must-visit destination for nature enthusiasts and those seeking breathtaking panoramic views. During my recent trip to this picturesque hill station, I had the pleasure of visiting Kate's Point, and it left me in awe of its natural beauty. Kate's Point is renowned for offering some of the most spectacular vistas of the Sahyadri mountain range. Located about 1290 meters above sea level, this viewpoint provides visitors with a bird's-eye view of the lush valleys, pristine forests, and serene lakes that adorn the landscape. The drive up to the viewpoint is an adventure in itself, with winding roads and lush greenery, making it a memorable journey. The main attraction at Kate's Point is the stunning viewpoint that overlooks the Dhom Dam and the Krishna Valley. The breathtaking scenery from this vantage point is truly awe-inspiring, especially during the early morning or late afternoon when the sun casts its golden hues upon the landscape. The calmness and tranquility of the place are simply rejuvenating, making it an ideal spot for contemplation and relaxation. One of the unique features of Kate's Point is the natural rock formation that resembles an elephant's head and trunk. This fascinating rock formation adds an interesting element to the scenic beauty and provides an excellent photo opportunity for visitors. While the primary attraction is the viewpoint itself, Kate's Point also offers a small garden where families and couples can enjoy a leisurely stroll or a picnic. The well-maintained garden is a pleasant spot to unwind and savor the natural beauty surrounding you. The only drawback, which prevents me from giving it a perfect rating, is the occasional crowd that gathers at Kate's Point, especially during peak tourist seasons. However, the beauty of the place more than compensates for this minor inconvenience. In conclusion, Kate's Point in Mahabaleshwar is a gem in the crown of the Western Ghats. Its stunning views, tranquil atmosphere, and proximity to other attractions in Mahabaleshwar make it a must-visit destination. Whether you are a nature lover, a photographer, or simply seeking a peaceful retreat amidst nature, Kate's Point will not disappoint. It offers a chance to connect with the natural beauty of the Sahyadri range and leave with memories that will last a lifetime.

When you visit Kates point, it also has Echo Point, Needles hole point and Elephant head is also visible from this point. The view from Kates point is very nice. You can see Krishna Valley and a dam below. You can see dhol dam and balkawadi dam from here. A lot of Bollywood movie shots from 3 idiots, rab ne banadi jodi, Dabang, etc are visible in the valley from this point. This point is named after British governor sir John Malcom's daughter. There are horse here who will try to convince you for a ride till elephant head view but that's not reasonable. Its very near and no need of horse here.

This point is best to visit during monsoon season. Beautiful landscape, vulchar fall etc. Echo point. I visited during December. Food stalls in this point are average, low of hygiene. Lot of monkeys here, beware of them as they will snatch food from you.

The view from Kate’s point defines Mahabaleshwar. Don’t miss the sunset from here. The fort is visible as a small speck in the distance. Kate’s point offers the best view of the dam and the reservoir below. Keep walking around and see the elephant head reveal its magnificence. There are also a few waterfalls visible in the distance. The narrow drive to Kate’s point also deserves a mention. Go back late from this place and go past a cemetery in the late evening smog in the winter chill and you’ll remember your drive ;)

A great experience of valley and dam view. The view is spectacular. The only downside of this place is finding a parking spot. The road connecting to this place is narrow but manageable. Early morning is a good time to visit.

Kate's Point is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Mahabaleshwar. It offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the Sahyadri mountain range and the lush green valleys surrounding it. The viewpoint is also known as Needle Hole Point, as one can see a natural rock formation with a hole in it, which resembles a needle. Apart from the mesmerizing view, Kate's Point also offers a range of fun activities for visitors. There are several vendors selling local snacks and souvenirs, and there's also a horse riding facility for those who enjoy horseback riding.

One of the most visited points. Depending upon the weather , the view of this point ranges from wow to awesome. Little difficult to get echo from the echo point as such. Monkeys are a good attraction, but need to be very careful of your belongings as the monkeys snatch things assuming it to be food. Overall , a good point to visit. Kids would love it .

One of the better points in the Mahabaleshwar- Panchgani area. Good views of the water body and the mountains nearby. Parking is enough and there are multiple viewing points. Only downer are the hordes of monkeys which can be dangerous. We went during winters and the place was quite dry but during monsoons the greenery would be worth the travel.

Well this is one of the place I enjoyed going. it's so high and view from that height is incredible. like other most of the points here also it is hard to find parking place for your vehicle. you'll find lot of monkeys here, some of them are very aggressive. I'll suggest you not to come to close to them they can harm you or can steal anything from you. including your food and accessories.
