Be prepared to sweat, because it gets toasty in those caves. But it is so worth it! It felt magical exploring, with lots of awesome photo ops. Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of the background about the caves, too. As a side note, know that there are some bats hanging out in a couple spots. They just mind their business, but that's probably a good thing to be aware of. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Grand Cayman.

We really enjoyed this tour. A bit of history and a different experience on the island. Quick ticketing process at the door, not too crowded, convenient treetop bar! There’s even a fun short shuttle ride to the caves. Tour guide went at a good pace and everyone got to explore and take pictures of these beautiful natural caves. He even sang for us and we could ask any questions we wanted.

The caves are beautiful. Patrick our tour guide was great explaining all the different plants and trees that were there. The area is amazing We even saw some bats in the caves. It was so pretty. The gift shop had some nice items, but they were kind of expensive. This is definitely a must visit.

Definitely put this cave tour on your bucket list, of places to go/things to do when you come to the Grand Cayman Islands! You have small group tours and intimate settings for exploration and very informative tour guides! There is a lot of history in this area and you will get an introduction here at the caves! Big thank you to the staff and thank you for making it fun!

Absolutely a wonderful experience!!! Josh was amazing, funny, informative, and made the tour effectively memorizing. The caves and area is a plethora of beautiful history and land. Of you get the chance to go to the caves, I highly recommend shaving a couple hours to see these caves. They are stunning! So many years of stories behind them. Thank you for this amazing tour!

Fantastic tour, wonderful customer service and absolutely beautiful caves to explore. I believe the name of the Senior Leader who provided introductions and a brief history of the caves and the island was Archie Whitaker. He was an excellent orator who enriched our experience here. When we return to the island, we will come by again to visit and enjoy some mudslides at their bar afterwards.

Overall, it was a great experience with our tour guide, who basically grew up in these caves. Upon arrival, you will have to wait for others to arrive, and then you will get a history overview on how this place came to be, which takes about 25-40 minutes before the cave tour actually starts. Make sure to bring water! Especially if you are with children because it gets hot in those caves plus if you come in the spring/summer months, the sun is cooking you. Otherwise, the caves are beautiful to look at and astonishing to learn how long it takes to pass through, how long it took to dig them out... all good information. I recommend doing this while you are here.

This place is really a great place to see. They start off by giving you a history of the area. You then get on a small bus, and they bring you to the Caves. We had the best tour guide. It was very warm there. Saw some bats. The lake cave was spectacular.

Such a fun adventure! Justin is an amazing tour guide, comical and attentive, made sure everyone in the group had a great time! The stories/history Mr. Archie shared at the beginning of the tour was super informational and impactful. Side note, these caves are very warm, no need to bundle up. I'm very thankful they offer bug spray, too.

Our tour guide was amazing.. the caves was amazing .. my only complaint would be to have more options of reservations that’s more. Secure . Most people don’t like giving their card info out over the phone Identity theft is real . So I opt to drive out and pay cash . It would be nice to make reservations online like most attractions.

This is one of the tours I booked prior to arriving on the island. The reservation was a bit behind the times as I had to call verses some sort of online reservation, but that said it was not a problem to call and set it up. Once on the island we had a change of plans that required us to change our tour time and they were very accommodating with a simple call and reschedule. Archie Whittaker gave us the introduction to the attraction then turned us over to our tour guide which drove us back to the caves. Several things impressed me with this attraction, first was the genuine pride and attention Archie showed in educating the people on the area, the land, and the history. His lectures alone were worth the trip. Also impressive was the vegetation on the property in which the tour guide (so sorry I forgot the name) pointed out to us. There are many caves on property and all we saw were very impressive. All the caves were walkable (you don’t need to crawl or climb), but there are steps and some tight areas. We did have one person in our group that was claustrophobic, and he did fine. The total tour time takes about an hour and a half. Wear comfortable close toed shoes (we wore tennis shoes) and they provide free mosquito repellant as depending on the weather they might be a problem.

Did the crystal caves tour while on vacation over Christmas. It did rain at points during our tour but most of it is underground, they do provide bug spray which I would recommend using as the mosquitos while not bad this time of year do get worse in the summer. Be aware there are fruit bats towards the end of the tour, they do not bite, but be aware as some folks do get scared by them. We had Oscar as our tour guide who did an excellent job and was our shuttle driver to and from the Marriott

If you find yourself in cayman I think this is a must do experience. You get to see and learn a bit of history about the original families of the island, the nature and you get to see and experience the caves who are full of stalactites and stalagmites. At the end of the tour the last cave is full of bats which is kind of unique. Especially the baby bats are so cute. Our guide Asani ( I hope I am correct here) was very knowledgeable. Great humour and energy as well.

Had a GREAT time with our tour guide, Calvin, who was fun and very knowlegeable! It IS hot and humid in the caves (they are not lying)! Caves are beautiful and an interesting curiosity on such a small island. And yes....the bat cave is fun! Dont believe the old wives tales. They see just fine, they arent interested in people, and they wont run into you lol.

Despite the heat and humidity the day of our tour, our group of 12 had a great time! The tour was VERY reasonably priced and provided excellent value!! The guided tour brought us to 3 different caves with a nice stroll through the bush? Jungle? Forest? I'm not sure what to call the ecosystem. They may have told us, but I broke my hearing aids before the tour and had to rely on the telephone game with my wife. :) The tour included some local history and entertaining interpretations of the rock formations in the caves.

We've been to have an over Texas and the US. These were really neat caves. The tour guide could have been better... Kind of needed to tone down the saucy comments, since we had kids in our group. Other than that, I'd highly recommend this cave. We booked directly from their website, rather than a tour company. Cheaper that way, so long as you have a rental car or whatever. Better than expected. This is 5 or 10 minutes from the Queen's Botanical Gardens, so it's a good idea to do both on the same day.

For the tour of the caves our group bought tickets in advance and then checked in once we got there. Once you check in there is a waiting area with complementary bug spray and water. You can also purchase a bucket of gems to sift through in their mining set up. After a few minutes you will get onto vans and be driven about 5 minutes on a bumpy dirt road to the caves. Our tour guide took us to 2 caves and then took us to the treehouse restaurant and gift ship where we were able to use the bathroom, buy souvenirs, get a drink, and order food that was ready when we got back from the last cave. After this break we went to the final cave which was definitely the biggest and best. Definitely recommend this tour if you want to have fun and do some exploring! After we finished our lunch at the treehouse restaurant we did end up waiting for about 30 minutes in the heat before a van came to take us back to the parking lot. If it wasn't for that long wait I would've given them a 5/5 rating. Overall it was an awesome experience!

This was an excellent little tour of the caves. I believe our tour guide was a huge reason why. His name is Yevs, and he was very informative, and funny. My kids thought he was the best, and funniest thing about the tour. Just be aware it is very, very humid inside the caves. Make sure you have water, and a small towel to wipe your face lol. If we ever get back, we would ask for Yevs again!

Decided to do the touristy thing and took my wife here while on Grand Cayman. The tour was just the two of us and another couple. They transported us by mini bus to the caves, which only took a couple minutes. We got to see three caves, including one that had a small lake and bats. We took three breaks of 5-10 minutes each and then were transported back in a non-airconditioned bus. The cost was over $95 and not worth the price, unless of course you like being walked around to see underwhelming caves and having the tour guide point out what crystal formations look like. Don't waste your money!

An interesting and educational natural sight to visit during your time on the island. Definitely buy the tickets online before hand as the number of people per group is limited and the cruise ships may bring a few bus loads of visitors. The caves are well maintained and easy to track through for almost anyone. Plenty of photo opportunities. Keep in mind, it will be quite warm inside the caves as they are very close to the surface.

This was amazing. I don't even think you can really see it all in one tour. Archie is knowledgeable and friendly, full of information. The tour guide was great, as he used to play in those caves as a kid. I don't think there's a formation that he's not familiar with. I have knee issues, but getting around was fairly easy. I took pictures but there's nothing like seeing these caves in person. I highly recommend visiting them. There's food and drinks available as well as a gift shop. They also provide bug spray to keep mosquitoes at bay. There are bats in the caves, but they pretty much stayed put.

Our visit to the Crystal Caves was fantastic. The tour starts with a short history of the area and the families that settled and built homes near the caves, told by one of the family decedents. The small tour group then loads up in a bus for a short ride followed by an easy walk through the lush jungle to the cave entrances. There's a gift shop, bar and treehouse restaurant near the caves. Our tour guides were friendly, and offered to take group photos for everyone. You have a chance to see the sleeping bats in the final cave. This was an excellent tour and my family had a great time.

We did the dusk bat tour with dinner and it was so much fun! Our tour guide Yves was such a great guide, making this such a fun experience. The dinner at end was also amazing. 10/10 recommend! PS wear the mosquito repellent they provide. Lots of mosquitos!

We really enjoyed the caves. They gave a brief history of the property and how the caves became open for tours. We got to walk through rain forest and learn about some of the native plants and then go into three caves including a cave with a lake and a cave full of bats. It was fantastic! Our tour guide was Ashani, and he was knowledgeable, positive, and chill. When you go, prepare for heat! The caves are so humid and hot that I was dripping sweat head to toe. Bring water to drink on your tour! They provide a station to fill up your bottle with cold water before you start the tour.

We have been to many caves around the world, but some of the formations here are quite unique. Note that the caves are not deep in the ground, so they can be more humid than outside. Tour guides were wonderful, made everyone comfortable. Thank you Oscar!

Great tour, Archie the team leader/manager did a great introduction and history of the land and family. Truly amazing to see, and how well maintained the park is. Fresh water on site to fill up also has a hut on site while you wait where you can get drinks and smoothies. The walk is easy but I do recommend shoes not flip flops. They are very on time so arrive 5-10 Minutes early.

Totally worth it! The Head Guide, a proud and eloquent Caymanian, was wonderful! He have the group a brief history of the caves, the people and the land they’re we stood on - a great reminder that this was more than just another tourist destination, and made the experience all the more remarkable. Then we hopped on a van for a short drive to the caves and Chris, our awesome guide, took us through three of them while entertaining us with nuggets of information. A great destination we highly recommend!

Nice small caves in a tropical environment. Our guide was a knowledgeable, funny young man born and raised in the neighborhood. Food and drinks are available on site. Easy to walk, also for non-trained people. Wheelchairs could be difficult. The path to and between the caves also was a kind of botanical garden and we learned a lot about the plants and trees.

Worth seeing. Really cool cave systems with very pleasant guides. You have to reserve tickets and visit slot online prior to arrival. They have mosquito sprays and fresh water.

Whether you're staying on Seven Mile or East End, this is a great tour to take. Shuttle available from East End Resorts. Caves are impressive. Wear walking/hiking shoes and bring water as you're gonna sweat, but you're on a tropical island so that's a given. Tour guides are very engaging and informative. Well worth the costs. If you're there by car, make sure you continue down the North Side to Starfish Point and Kaibo Marina for the Stingray City Tour.

Been to cayman several times and never heard of this place until this trip. Unique experience and the bats were fun to see up close. If you want to try something different on the island that doesn’t involve diving or the beach, this is a good option.

WOW! Didn’t know what to expect. With 2 teenagers hard to gage their interest, we ALL had an amazing experience learning about the caves and the history of the property. Although the temperature was hot outside, the trees provided much relief and if you can freeze some wet wash cloth they came in handy to place behind your neck to cool off during the tour

Guides were highly uneducated, I had to correct our guide on several points even the most basic of things like plant and rock identification. music blaring from tree house angered bats. The guides also made our group worry too much about bats and poison ivy. If it’s that bad don’t take us around it, you can kill it along trails. Drinking and caving is total liability, just matter of time before you get sued to hell (not the one in west bay…)

Amazing tour! Very well organized, fantastic tour guide, and beautiful caves and property. The caverns or caves, are really interesting to see, one of a kind natural beauty. This family owned business cares for the environment and stresses the importance of protecting these precious natural sites. Our guide Yves, was very knowledgeable, and quite funny. He was very knowledgeable, and educated us on the native plants as you walk. We learned so much about Cayman Islands. It boosted an already cool experience. Definitely recommend taking the time to enjoy this experience when on the island.

This Cayman gem was truly impressive, our guide Ashani was funny, knowledgeable and friendly. He explained the formations and gave a lot of info on the caves, ah also helped with pictures (essential, lol) my teens gave great feedback on the experience which is hard to achieve with kids nowadays. My kids had burgers and the banana smoothie at their tree house restaurant and they were jummy 😋. I highly recommend the fried chicken sandwich. I could go back just for that!!! there is also a bar menu with cocktails and local beers My daughter got some pretty bracelets at the giftshop, but they also have shirts, stuffy toys, local precious stones, etc for sale Bring light clothes, is a little humid since is an underground experience. Over all a must do when visiting Cayman. 100/10 highly recommended

This was such a neat experience. We really enjoyed joked seeing the different types of caves. We were able to visit 4 of the many that were there. I wonder if you can visit any others as well. The tour guide was very informative and also helpful with taking pictures and letting us wander around.

Amazing natural formations! The tour was well worth the walk, and I appreciated that they provided bug repellent. It was about a 45-minute tour, and we saw 3 caves. Each was unique in its own way, and the mirrored lake was worth the trip on its own. Also, the fruit bats were adorable(they kept to themselves, but were easy to spot ) Definitely advise comfortable shoes and bring water - they have some for sale at the end, and the caves are cooler than the outside, but it's still quite hot out. One of the caves was compared to a sauna, so yeah. Comfy shoes and water, but so well worth it!

  • 5/5 April A. 2 years ago on Google
Yves was a great tour guide! Informative and comical, which we really liked. Caves are all different. We did get to see some bats fly around before we finished tour. Can't wait till the next cave gets cleared.

  • 5/5 Jacqueline E. 1 year ago on Google
We had a wonderful visit to the caves. The staff was helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The grounds are well maintained and the caves themselves are beautiful. A must do! We arrived a bit prior to our scheduled tour time and had an easy check-in process. While we waited we sat in the shaded bench area. Highly recommend closed toe shoes and long pants. If you don’t have your own they provide insect repellent prior to starting the tour as there’s some mosquitos, though the day we went there wasn’t too many. Another good idea would be a little bag that allows you to keep your hands free so you can snap photos and hold on to rails as needed but still have some water or anything else you need.

  • 4/5 Reem A. 1 year ago on Google
The caves were definitely a good place to visit. They are beautiful - our only issue was that the only way to visit was with a guided tour. To take the general guided tour, you end up with a big group of people and it felt crowded! The private tours were a bit too expensive. The guide was friendly, patient and very knowledgeable but definitely had a lot of people to handle. Bring a water bottle with you, they have refill stations before you leave to the caves. Wear good shoes and expect to go up and down some stairs.

  • 5/5 Steve D. 1 year ago on Google
Great tour of natural limestone caves. No spoiler alert: the 3rd cave is really cool. There were harmless bats too. The caves are very warm. So dress in comfortable clothes. There are some bugs. So bring some bug repellent or use some of theirs.

Unique attraction! Started off with the history of old man bay, local fauna and cave formation. Archie and Jasmine were friendly and l informative tour guides. Took us through the caves, we had the opportunity to take as many pictures and enjoy the site. At the end, we stopped at treehouse restaurant and bar, had an amazing jerk pork sandwich with beers. Top experience. The Cayman Crystal Caves is an expertly developed attraction that is well worth a visit. They have done a stellar job making the site, the endemic plants, and the history accessible for visitors. In the caves themselves, the stalactites and stalagmites are mesmerizing. Well thought-out lighting provides a wonderful sense of depth in the nooks and crannies of the caverns. The bats are super cute, too. ADVICE: take a strong 🔦 torch if you have it. There is a bit where you get to explore the darkness, but a cellphone light just doesn't do it justice. Also, use the insect repellent on offer, or bring your own. We had a kid in our group who did not have any on, and he must've been bitten 80 times in 5 minutes.
