We have been staying with daughter and family over festive period and visited Mazzos for New Year's Eve Dinner. Fabulous!! Staff were welcoming and friendly but very efficient. And the food was out of this world. A big thank you

Great Italian restaurant. Staff are great, setting is very nice and food is awesome. Had the ribs to start and they were gorgeous. Plenty of them and pretty much a meal in themselves. Monkfish for the main course and again a big serving and delicious. Most restaurants can be tight with Monkfish, not here. Wife had king prawns in garlic to start and Lobster and Crab ravioli. Loved both. A great bottle of wine and a fabulous night out. First time here but definitely not the last.

Amazing food and service as always!

Had to wait 20 mins at bar to be seated, this didn't happen the other time I had been but I've been told it can happen a lot. Once seated the meal was great and the service excellent. Has just bought the restaurant next door and is moving into that (see new photos) will have to check it out. Been to the new restaurant, no wait this time, straight to the table upstairs. Had mussels and a chicken pizza, both great. The room was extremely noisy though and didn't need the added sound of the musician which meant we had to shout to each other at the table to be heard. Wow I think I have to finally admit I'm getting old!!

First visit since the rebuild. Now, there is a 'conservatory' facing onto the side road. This is nice in itself but it's a shame there are no views from this. We found the place lively on a Thursday evening and quite noisy, expected of a busy Italian. Customers were generally casually dressed, some could be described as not smart casual. The food we had was in general well presented and flavourful but my wife commented that the vegetables that came with her chicken dish were luke warm. My pasta dish came hot and there was enough of it. The only real disappointment was the cookie dough desert. A thin layer of dough in a small dish which did the rounds of the restaurant before it finally reached our table but surprisingly, it was still hot. Would we return? Yes. Cost: we had one tomato garlic bread, one pasta dish, one chicken dish, one cookie dough, one glass wine and a pint of Peroni. Total £63.

We booked for 14 people for a 60th birthday and the food all came out hot and at the same time the food was really good and very reasonably priced and the staff are brilliant, I would definitely recommend trying if you haven't already

An extremely lovely evening. Staff wonderful and meal amazing. Steak Rossini was just gorgeous. Would highly recommend. So lucky to have a good Italian restaurant in Royton.

Emin & the rest of the staff are always so lovely sitting us in prime seating areas & accommodating our food requests …… sauces on the side etc. Excellent food & lovely atmosphere, I can highly recommend! We love it here

Great place to eat. We've visited several times and always find the food to be of a really high standard, the service excellent and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. The prices are reasonable too. I'd definitely recommend a visit here but book in advance as it does get busy.

Had my birthday celebrations here with family last night 10/10 can’t recommend them more. Everyone commented on how nice the staff were and they were really accommodating. The food was great as always 🥰

Mazzo was really great, enjoyed my meal out with my sister n cousin to celebrate her birthday!!! My cousin really enjoyed it!!! The evening was great but, we cut it short abit due to others queueing up outside to get in fortunately for us my sister booked a table for us!!! Remember you're best to book with them,as you cannot guarantee a table!!! Enjoy! We did!!! 😊

My first visit here for a meal. I had pate to start and fillet steak for main. It was delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly to my request.

Had THE BEST fillet steak from here while at my works summer meal 🙌🏻👌🏻 literally can't fault it was cooked to absolute perfection exactly how I like it and it just melted in my mouth so I definitely recommend the fillet steak from here 👍🏻plus service was quality did well with a full table of rowdy staff and the restaurant completely full anyway so overall we all had a top meal and brilliant service definitely will be back.

Had heard many good comments about Mazzos, so on Wednesday evening booked for Friday lunch in the conservatory. When we arrived I was told we couldn't go in the conservatory as workmen were in there ( they must have known this when I booked).We sat in the main dining room and were very cold as the widows were open in the conservatory, eventually the waiter closed them only for the workmen to open the roof! It was quite noisy and the workmen started using a vacuum cleaner. Just before the main meal came someone started banging in the kitchen and this went on through the main meal and coffee. One of the waiters was ok the other had an air of disdain at having to serve. During the meal the staff congregated st the end of the bar. There wasn't any atmosphere and when we were leaving the staff shouted form the end of the bar " thank you ladies ". I did tip.The food was as good as any Italian I have been to but the atmosphere and attitude leave a lot to be desired. Needles to say we will not be returning.

Really good. We were a group of 7. Service was excellent, friendly and responsive. Food was excellent and a lovely venue. Slightly off the main road with road parking and a car park opposite. I would definitely return. Excellent for larger groups. Deposit required but this would only have been taken if we hadn’t shown up.

Great food. I really enjoyed my calamari and the seafood risotto, plenty of seafood, flavoursome and very importantly, piping hot. Great wine and cocktail selection. The service was prompt, staff were attentive without being intrusive. Lovely, lively atmosphere. This was our first visit. We will definitely book a table again.

Staff were professional and welcoming. Drinks selection was great, had a really lovely Italian white wine that was delicious. I went with one of the specials and almost licked the plate clean. Deserts are huge and amazing. Will definitely visit again and recommend to others.

Lovely place. 1st time I've been and very pleasantly surprised. Nice decor, decent service, and couldn't fault any of the food. Average prices for current climate, so no complaints there. Definitely recommended 👍

Excellent food and brilliant service. There was a party of 9 of us and the service was excellent. My calamari starter was a decent portion and very tasty. My lobster ravioli was really nice but a little salty. Can't wait to return.

First visit, very clean and smart, sat in corner out front so had a great view, staff were very attentive and polite, food excellent, not rushed, or served slow so we drank more. Nice atmosphere, very classy is the best way to describe it, recommended. I had Pizza, others pasta and chicken in mushroom sauce, everyone was 😊
