If you have a loved one in this facility check in on them frequently. The conditions my loved one was left in were absolutely aweful. If the health department was there for a pop in inspection they would have found multiple violations. The nursing assistants were playing on their phones rather than helping provide proper patient care. Also the nursing manager and risk management team is down right worthless. If you leave a message to discuss your concerns you will never get a call back. I hope and pray conditions improve and quality of care is prioritized.

VERY RUDE STAFF. They treat you like you're homeless because that's 80 percent of patients they deal with, long waits, and no bedside manner to speak of. They try to get you out of the hospital as quick as possible without resolving any of your issues. It's also a learning hospital, no real experienced doctors to speak of here.

I can’t say enough good things about this hospitals Trauma/ICU surgeons, doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and therapists!!! You have all been amazing!! I was informed every step of the way throughout almost 3 weeks during my sons stay. The team approach to rounds was informative and kept everyone on the same page at all times. They gave me hope just watching them day by day. I couldn’t have asked for better medical care ANYWHERE!!! Thank you all for providing what I consider to be world class medical care and giving my son back to me!!! This community is truly blessed to have you all!!!

It pains me to write this on so many levels. My sister was in a scooter accident and was taken to the ER at Bayfront Health by ambulance. She was conscious and there for concussion protocol. She was conscious (enough to walk on her own), yet they cut all of her clothes off. She was asked if she would like them to perform a CT scan, to which her answer was "no, not at this time". They then left her, completely stripped in the room and didn't return until they had paperwork for her to sign, confirming her refusal for the CT scan. They never once treated her wounds (there are 5 large wounds, which I tried to attach here, but were not allowed). She was then left to discharge herself. She was left to remove her own IV. When my mom arrived, they refused to let her go back to the room. They claimed that they were in the middle of running tests - which were never actually being ran in the first place. And still, we have no idea whether a concussion is present.

The building itself must be a century old, the staff is rude and expect a long ER wait. The Doctors are generally poor to below average, such as Doctors Bell, Wharton and one I can't figure out how to spell. They didn't listen and didn't care. It felt like they saw me as a payday of some sort. And while I may be an old man (some people assume I'm surly because I don't smile much), I don't appreciate rude hospital staff. Dont get me wrong, most of my nurses were pleasant, but some were not whatsoever. I actually had ill-mannered and undereducated nurses while I was awaiting a minor surgery (which went okay, thank God). One of them was a thin, pale white woman named, either Lauren or Laura. I guess she was around 50 with somewhat short hair. Anyway, she was so discourteous after I told my daughter about it, she called one of her supervisors and complained. My daughter was told, off the record, they've received prior complaints about her and that some sort of disciplinary action would likely be taken. I don't care if I have a heart attack, I'm not going back. Three times was not the lucky number for me. Each experience was worse.

I had surgery just yesterday and had the best care at Bayfront. Everyone was so nice and attentive. I am very afraid of needles because I have bad veins but Nurse Rashanna was able to get the IV in on the first try without causing me pain. It was amazing! I love the nurses at Bayfront and my Doctor, Dr. Reyes.

So I recently had to have a surgery with Dr. Diner. It was a same day procedure, and the staff here is absolutely wonderful. I had the same nurse in the am and as well as the PM. RN Jeff is wonderful. I had so much anxiety when I came in. And just talking with Jeff about music and life really helped easy my nerves. I live all the way in Tampa and commuted here to st Pete. And I’m so happy I did because the care I received from everyone was amazing. Thank you!

Had all of my children here, for the most part it is a fantastic experience. This past time I feel the staff was diligent and on top of their jobs but perhaps lacking a little empathy and compassion for their patients which goes a long way. I would like to mention one employee, Veronica at the admissions- she made my entire stay with her kindness, being a listening ear and patient advocate, top tier individual!

I am very happy with my new doctor at Bayfront, Nazrah Franco, and her staff, especially physician's assistant Antwan Lacy. Both have been extremely responsive to my needs, setting up additional appointments if necessary and other tests and services. All are pleasant and thorough. In conversation with them, I find them to be very knowledgeable about different stages of life, and encouraging about implementing changes to improve health. After a long desert of health care during Covid, I am thrilled to have found health care providers I can trust and have easy access to for appointments and information.

My mom broke her hip and she was nervous to go to any hospital but she ended up having an excellent experience. The doctors and nurses were kind and knowledgeable. She was so surprised and obviously happy.

it's one week ago I went to Bayfront Hospital for an emergency surgery for my appendix, in the thesaurus the nurse tech was awesome (room 16)7/29/22 then I was moved up to another thesaurus for the surgery, as I was waking up I remember having the shakes and I had a male nurse by the name of Bryan waiting for me to be fully alert before taking me to my room, another female nurse passing and made reference to my shakes his response was I am ignoring it right now. Now I want to say "if you don't enjoy what you're doing" don't take that career path just for a check. Because all lives' MATTER and treat people the way you wanted to be treat. Nurse SOL and Britney was awesome

I ended up in the ER with an infection from a mosquito bite. Was admitted for 6 days. I can't say enough about the wonderful care I received from all the Nurses and Drs. at Bayfront. The entire staff were wonderful. They were so attentive , and showed extreme sincere concern . Thank you Bayfront. You made a very serious condition so much less stressful. Special thanks to my Nurses, John, Tam, and Elizabeth you guys are the best!!!

The rooms could be better. The Staff are rude, nurses does not want to work, my room had cafeteria trays from days left in my room. No one is taking out trash, and doctors and nurses does not communicate well. I am still in hospital in Room 671. Will be leaving soon hopefully. I been waiting all day just for a cup of coffee

I suffered an injury and went to the ER last weekend. I suffered a laceration to my cheek, and Melissa came in off duty to stitch me up. She is a one of a kind. caring gentle compassionate to name a few. I came back in to have my stitches removed and Front desk and my male nurse were amazing also. Thank you for caring for me. I would trust you with my face and my life. I’m told I won’t have a scar and when it heals which I Trust it will as she told me, I will come back on here and give a 10 star review! that’s what this place represents ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️perfection

Dr. Cohen and Nursing staff amazing. Paula in triage, very efficient at her job and getting answers in a timely manner. Victoria and Jennifer in labor delivery stood out the most. Nurse Victoria, always tending to my requests. Nurse Jennifer talk about a strong individual her words of encouragement really helped me push through at the end of active labor. Dr. Cohen is extremely thorough and straightforward with things that have to do with the health of the mother and child. Overall the staff is wonderful. I felt like I received high quality care. The ones mention above deserve an award. So many people go unnoticed for their hard work and more people need to be recognized for their work of art.

My experience at Bayfront was AMAZING! From check in until check out, I was well taken care of. The nurses and staff were very attentive to my needs before and after my C-Section. They made sure me and baby were okay throughout my stay and answered any questions or concerns I may have had.

I recently had a 5 day stay due to gallbladder removal and some complications from a recent surgery. The entire medical staff was incredible. The nursing team were rockstars!!! They were on top of everything and so kind and friendly. They really made my time there as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The Dr's were knowledgeable and thorough and I'm home feeling great thanks to all of them. Very thankful to all of them for taking such good care of me.

I have been thinking what happened to me and to my boyfriend not to long ago. I want to share a little of my experience and thank the people I would call angels who were present at this frightening moment. I want to thank the people who rescued us from motorcycle accident I suffered on October 13/2021 in St Petersburg. Thanks to Police Department at St. Petersburg, to officer Cutter who helped to find the person who caused the accident. Thanks to Jeff, Chris, Paterson, Mash,my overnight nurse, and others that I couldn’t ask for their names at ER at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg Hospital, they were very courteous. I want to thank my family who were present somehow, even though they were far away. Your presence made all the difference. I want to highlight, I’ve always had respect and admiration for those who work in the Medical Field, but unfortunately there are people who shouldn’t be working in the Hospital. To have a job like that, a person has to have Empathy, be kind, and Humble. Staff seemed inexperienced and not well trained. Assistant of nurse didn’t understand what the Nurse wanted her to do. Lack of support and empathy from staff. Felt uncomfortable with how I was treated as a patient. Did not feel like this is the type of treatment uthat should be given to someone who was in an accident. Staff needs more experience and skills. The most feel passion for that kind job, not just go to work for pay the bill. This is my feed back from this all situation.

Every one knows that going to the hospital can be a scary ordeal. However, my stay and experience at Bayfront Health was excellent. All staff from. Administration. Nursing, housekeeping, and dietary, also transport were up most courteous and concerned with me as a client. All attentive to my needs separate from others and always doing their best to make sure that I was taken care of. Thank you ( Nurse) Duane looking forward to knowing you were there each day made it so much easier for me. To the young man in administration. It was the 7 floor that was the therapy many years ago. To you all, keep doing the great job that you are all doing. I personally feel that Bayfront Health is becoming once again the hospital for the many surrounding communities. ----------Priscilla Brown

I was admitted from the ER to hospital for a skin infection. I arrived at hospital in middle of the night, and nurse was quick to get me settled in and let me go to sleep. I was only there for 2 days but the staff was the best I've seen in a hospital. They truly cared about me and made me feel safe and without worry. I would highly recommend the hospital, however hope I never have to. Thanks to all the staff that cared for me including the nutrition people that kept me well fed. Food wasn't bad either. Thanks to all of them. You can be assured that you will be well taken care of at this hospital.

Rude staff, awfully Dirty rooms, NO Air Conditioning in the HOT summer! They could NOT even put an IV drip into me ( barely stable patient) because "did not have spare equipment". Air Shoot cover was covered in dirt, hospital bed filthy with omeone's vomit, and AC control was older than ME! Suffered in HOT room barely alive throughout my stay.

I cut my wrist when I fell on some rocks while fishing. When I got to the hospital I was welcomed by the front desk and security guard. They were both pleasant and understanding of my problem. The front desk got some info from me after getting the nurse informed of my situation. The nurse got the things he needed to help me and by the time he was ready the front desk has all the info he needed from me and they admitted me in the room. Because of the nature of my cut the nurse made it aware to the other nurses that the wound I had need constant pressure and stayed with me to help stop the bleeding until the doctors was ready to stitch me up. The nurse talked t. The doctor was there very shortly after and started explaining to all how he would proceed and they all knew what to do and was ready for the doctor when he returned after getting cleaned up. Before I knew it he started doing what he needed to do. When he was done the nurses started looking and cleaning other cuts more making sure everything was as clean as it could be. The whole process took maybe 1.5 hours. Great people with great communication with each other made this as quick and do to the nature of the visit as painless as possible. If I ever have to go back for anything I would definitely go there. Thank you it was the best visit I have ever had at a hospital.

Bayfront Rehab is the best rehab in the state of Florida. I had a third stroke that left me paralyzed and with severe memory issues. With the help from the doctors, nurses, staff, I was able to get out of my wheelchair and walk in about 10 days! I highly recommend Bayfront Rehabilitation for anyone having physical, speech etc.All the therapist are amazing. Ann my speech pathologist went above and beyond. July the nurse saves my life because I was chocking with my lunch. John is caring, gentle and respectful. Kelly, Brenna went above and beyond and really listen to my individual needs! My room had a beautiful view to the beach. Magnificent rehab!

My family had the best experience during an unfortunate accident my son had. My experience started with the kindness of the security parking guards, the efficient and emphatic ER staff, and the professionalism and amazing nursing staff both on the floor and in the surgical ward. Thank you! I was so impressed with the care we received from everyone we encountered.

I had a situation and saw my general physician first. She suggested a trip to the ER for further examination plus the weekend was coming upon us and I didn't want more added stress to any of us. I have used Bayfront for many years and it is still the best in the tri County area, in my opinion. It was another great choice. I received quick attention and felt it was thorough. I only had one nurse that could have used a tweak to be at his best but still was good. Believe me I have had much worse staff elsewhere . I will always come to this facility when in need if given the option. Oh I was also brought here another time when in a bad accident and in coma. That was a very long recovery but throughout it all (in house recoup and out patient) I received the best attention from all staff (therapies, psych and surgeons). I would definitely recommend hospital and do.

I gave birth to my first child at Bayfront. I have to say we had the absolute best experience. The nurses were helpful and went above and beyond in every situation. Everyone was very attentive and made sure we stayed very well informed throughout the entire stay. Also, the food was shockingly good for a hospital.

Overall the medical staff was quick with my covid results and also patient with me of a courteous nature. From the security, front desk clerk and all doctors they really seem to like their jobs! I have four stars only because I still had a cold and I was not administered any medication to try and alleviate my symptoms! Other than that I would have given five stars! Aside from this visit every other visit was almost the same and I would recommend any family or friends to stop by if they had any emergency issues! Thank you Bayfront!

To say my experience this morning, with the wonderful and beautiful lady that helped me was excellent would merely be an understatement. Her customer service skills that were provided to me this morning made me feel very comfortable, and at ease. Those attributes she brings to the table, make her an asset to your company. She needs to be recognized for her kindness and professionalism. Thank you. Have a great day and merry Christmas.

I needed to go to Bayfront in St Pete for two different types of Ultrasounds. I was in and out. I had two appointments that had an hour wait in between, but instead the ultrasound nurse turned it into a back to back appointment. Was glad for that. I didn’t have to wait an hr for my next appointment. Great service!

I gave birth to my twins at Bayfront Baby Place and had the most amazing experience during my 3 day stay. I was well taken care of and felt cared about as a mom, they made sure I had everything that I needed and everything that made me comfortable. 10/10 recommend.

We recently delivered our baby at Bayfront Baby Place and had a wonderful experience. The nurses were all so kind and helped us to feel that we were in good hands. All of the staff, from the doctors and nurses, to the housekeeping, lactation consultants, CNAs and many others I'm probably forgetting (sleep deprivation will do that) went above and beyond to be sure that we were informed about what was going on, met our every need, and helped us in every way possible. If we have another baby and are still in the St. Petersburg are, this is definitely where we will be putting our trust for our little family.

If the waiting room is full, it might be a long wait. In spite of waiting 3 1/2 hours for a room last visit during a gallbladder attack, I love Bayfront. Their primary care, specialist offices, and ER staff treat their patients with respect and kindness, generally. I would not hesitate to take anyone in my family here for their health crises. In the last year I’ve been to the ER more than I have my entire adult life combined, and the staff at Bayfront truly make the worst situations a little better. Obviously they could benefit from more staff, but I’m pretty sure every hospital is in a similar position right now.

This is for the Bayfront location at 2200 16th st no. St. Pete. The staff does not care about the patients. I was told by the front office that they do not call your insurance company for authorization OR correct billing codes so us the patient suffers, paying costs out of pocket because they are lazy. My insurance company said that is what the provider number is for and they have never heard of a doctors office treating people like this, so they filed a complaint on them on my behalf. I have been going here for 5 years and have had the same prescription and when they called it in it was the wrong kind of medication!! (Which I did not realize until I had already went home) Pharmacies do not take medication back after you have already left with it. So now my insurance will not cover the correct prescription until the staff CALLS FOR AUTHORIZATION....but the staff is incompetent and lazy and said they do not do that. So now I will have to pay out of pocket for the script. NOBODY should be treated like this. I will NEVER recommend Bayfront to anyone ever again.

Nurse margarita and nurse Eboli are wonderful. Dr. Shamas was very attentive to my problems and needs. He and his staff demonstrated the best bedside manners and quick problem solving skills towards my needs. For that I am ever grateful. Most importantly that is big given the emergency that we as a society are going through currently. We all have been affected in one way or another, yet we as a people are not practicing empathy and sympathy. Thank you again to all staff at bayfront.

Most incompetent billing department I've ever seen. I have paid my bill to them twice now and they still don't seem to be able to apply it to my account and keep billing me. I paid it the first time five months ago and kept getting billed. I had multiple calls over several months with them about it and eventually they sent it to collections despite me having proof of payment and knowing I was disputing this. They eventually found the payment that was in the wrong system and had to refund it to me and have me pay again. I was refunded, made the payment again, and received another payment confirmation two months ago. I am still being billed for it! I called again and was told there was no record of any of that happening and they will need to do a missing payment inquiry which could take several weeks. This is the same process I already went through! I have wasted hours on the phone with this billing department and I am still nowhere near a resolution. This is insane! I like my doctor but I'm just going to find a new one at this point so I don't ever have to deal with this nonsense again.

The emergency department at Bayfront Health is a top-notch facility. My first experience with the hospital was a very positive one. There was no waiting, and since I had taken a hard fall, the nurses and the doctor felt like I needed to get a CT scan of my head right away. Everyone was so pleasant and reassuring. I don’t live in the area, but I would absolutely seek care, if needed, at Bayfront Health on future visits. Thank you all for the TLC!

My care at Bayfront for outpatient services was excellent. The registration process was quick with no wait time. The friendless , professionalism, and efficiency from team members in registration and CT (radiology) was a ten (1 to 10 scale). The nurse Jessica in CT and Toni were great at explaining the procedure and made me feel like they truly cared about me. I would refer Bayfront to others with no hesitations.

I had a really great experience at this hospital. I felt like each person who helped me really made an effort to help me understand what was happening to me. Even the doctor took his time coming in to see me. Usually, doctors pass by for a few minutes and you don't see them again, but every person who communicated with me took their time with me. I felt humanized. Thank you to the doctors and nurses of this hospital.

The check in process was quick and easy. All the staff members I encountered was polite and courteous; they answered any questions I had. Bedside manner was fantastic. I am going start with OT Emily she helped me to get home in a safe way. Everything that I would do at home was explained and taught me how to do things in a safe way. Robin,Keyon, and Lauren were PT. every one of them helped me to strengthen my muscles in a safe way so I could get home and continue living my life on my own. Dr. Reid Graves removed a large stone from my right kidney. It was a difficult procedure given the stone's location. He did an excellent job. The hospital is well staffed and well managed. If I could give Bayfront a 10 I would. The care was outstanding. The emergency room speed was so fast . The care on the 3rd floor Cardiovascular ICU Neuro ICU was the best care I have ever experienced in a hospital. I feel the Bayfront team saved my life. From start to finish, I was treated with dignity & respect. The nurses were amazing! They were genuinely concerned and very attentive. I had a life-saving surgery done in this same hospital in 2016 after a motorcycle accident. I would strongly recommend the team at Bayfront for their world-class service. My gratitude goes to the doctors & nurses here who do a tremendous job day-in & day-out! Thank you!!

I had to visit the Baby Place triage for elevated blood pressure at 38.5 weeks pregnant. The check-in staff were very friendly and helpful. They put me at ease with their good attitude and mood. The nursing staff in triage were also amazing (Amber and Paula). They made sure I was comfortable and kept me informed of everything going on with my care. Overall it was a good experience despite being anxious about my health!

I'm always impressed with The James Heart Center. Despite some aging, it is always clean, people are welcoming, and I feel informed. Nurses make sure you know their names. The pace seems deliberate rather than hectic. It hasn't ever felt like there were too many patients and too few nurses or other personnel who also clearly introduce themselves. My procedure was brief but preparation was thorough. After, I was encouraged to take my time getting dressed or getting up. Since it was local anesthesia, recovery was brief but I took my time. I was made aware of my after care and any cautions. My follow up was already scheduled. Efficient yet, careful. It's nice to feel good about health care.

Absolutely love working at this hospital. Everyone is friendly, happy, and most importantly patient care is their main priority. Administration does a really good job here at Bayfront and they make sure their staff are in positions to be successful. When I started here three months ago, I was nervous about the job since I was knew. From day 1 I was welcomed with open arms and smiles. Best place to work hands down!

The staff were all very pleasant, efficient and attentive and made my stay as comfortable as possible. I was very happy with the doctors that were assigned to me since my own doctor was on vacation. I am also happy with the follow up from outpatient after I got home. There are a few things that would have made the experience better. 1- the CDU does not have bathrooms in the room and I had to walk down the hall. This posed a significant problem since I was on strong antibiotics that caused a very upset stomach and I did not make it to the bathroom in time twice. 2- The hospital is not easy to navigate so my husband got lost twice, complicated by all the locked doors that are accessible by a badge. In addition the staff were not helpful that he met along the way by asking where he came from instead of assisting and explaining where he needed to go. This not only causes visitors/family members to get upset it is not good for the patient when they finally arrive. He also would have liked to go get coffee and the only way he could figure out was to go out and around, which is complicated by the construction. I would suggest painting colored lines on the floor that clearly mark paths to each area of the hospital visitors can access - they have this at Duke University Hospital and I never once got lost there.

I had an MRI just a few days before this MRI (with contrast) that required an IV. It took 3 painful sticks! To ensure I did not have to suffer this again, the radiation teams brought in staff more experienced in setting IVs in thin and aged skin. I really APPRECIATE this thoughtfulness for my comfort!

I recently visited the emergency department, and I must say that the entire experience was exceptional. From the moment I entered the facility to the moment I left, the level of care, expertise, and compassion displayed by the medical staff was truly commendable. First and foremost, the staff at the reception was incredibly helpful and efficient. Despite the fast-paced environment, they swiftly attended to all necessary paperwork and ensured that I was checked in with minimal waiting time. Their friendliness and professionalism immediately put me at ease during a stressful situation. Once inside, the medical team demonstrated an impressive level of knowledge and expertise. They thoroughly assessed my condition, explained each step of the diagnostic process, and promptly initiated the necessary treatments. Their proficiency and confidence were truly reassuring, giving me the utmost confidence in their abilities. What truly set this emergency department apart, however, was the compassion and empathy exhibited by the staff. Amidst the chaos and urgency, they always maintained a calm and patient-centered approach. The doctors and nurses took the time to listen attentively to my concerns, ensuring that I understood the diagnosis and treatment plan. Their reassuring words and genuine care made me feel valued and supported throughout the entire process. The cleanliness and organization of the facility were also remarkable. Despite the heavy flow of patients, the emergency department was kept meticulously clean and well-maintained. This attention to hygiene and orderliness played a crucial role in ensuring both patient and staff safety during such a challenging time. Lastly, I must acknowledge the efficient coordination between the emergency department team and other departments within the facility. From the moment I arrived until my discharge, the communication between departments was flawless. This streamlined process enhanced the efficiency of my overall care, enabling me to receive the necessary tests and consultations promptly. In conclusion, my recent visit to the emergency department was an outstanding experience. The exceptional care, expertise, and compassion displayed by the medical staff left a lasting positive impression on me. I am truly grateful to the entire team for providing such exceptional emergency care. I wholeheartedly recommend this facility to anyone in need of emergency medical attention. Thank you

I recently had surgery at Bayfront and I have to say that it was a good experience. From the moment I got there to the moment I left I felt cared for. They always informed me about what was going on and made sure I understood. Also, my anesthesiologist, Dr. Cohen was excellent. You could tell he is passionate and loves his work and that’s what an asset is. But what really made my day was when I got to the OR. I was loopy and started saying random things including “I’m not ready”, I could feel my eyes closing when someone in the OR held my hand and comforted me and that was my last memory. Whoever it was, thank you because it comforted my soul. Thank you Bayfront for the compassion. Happy Holidays!

My experience ran from excellent to very poor. Two the RN's were excellent an two were very unprofessional and one was simply inefficient My overall rating would be a C for my stay. I provided specific instances to the two head nurses who asked for my feedback I would be happy to provide those details to appropriate persons.
