Fun place to have lunch, brought the pooch, so we ate outside on the picnic bench. The bloody Mary was excellent, hubby had a spicy sort of margarita, can't remember the name, also excellent! We tried the deviled eggs, very yummy, I got the chicken fried chicken, which comes on a piece of Texas toast. I enjoyed it, but decided I would have preferred the chicken not smothered in gravy, because the BBQ sauces are excellent and would have rather had fried chicken to dip in a sauce. Hubby got the spicy chicken tenders and fries. We also tried the Mac n cheese. All was very good, but the tenders were the winner for food favorite! Love to come back and try more items!!

We absolutely love it! Our first time there was this past Saturday and we enjoyed it so much that we went back Sunday for dinner and bought the whole family. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the menu items. All of our food came out nice, hot and delicious! I particularly did not enjoy the hoppin john or the gumbo. But I did enjoy EVERYTHING else. Rick, the owner, came over to the table and he was so nice, down to earth and held good conversation. Our experience was definitely a good one and we will be back.

Grace is outstanding! Their collard greens, fried chicken, corn bread and the catfish/fried chicken sandwiches are high on my list. There was something for my whole family and everyone left full. We were already planning a return trip while we were leaving. There are more menu items we want to try and every plate that came out looked delicious! Definitely recommend!! 👍🏽👍🏽

Absolutely one of the best burgers I’ve had in my whole life, and top 2 in the state of Missouri. The blend is from the whole cow, and it is dry aged 30 days. It makes for an amazing savory umami flavor with the fat crisping up the way they do it. The comeback sauce on it was amazing, and the potato bun laid the groundwork for all the magic in between very well. I also had the chicken sandwich, and it was superb. It had the comeback sauce on it, and the breading was money. The fried pickles are a fantastic appetizer here, and the beer selection is great!

Fried green tomatoes were hot and crispy. Fries were ice cold. Got a replacement batch and they were exactly the same. Fried bologna was bad. Fried chicken was dry and cold. Mac and cheese was good. Wouldn’t come back or recommend to anyone. The staff was great so they get another star for that.

Grace Meat + 3: The name insinuates that you choose your meat and 3 sides. That is not the case, you pay for the meat, and then you pay $3 for each side item. My wife and I went there with my 3 granddaughters for a birthday lunch for them. I ordered the 3 piece Fish. It was deep fried and encrusted with cornbread crumbs, pretty good. The fish was cooked to perfection. I ordered a side of their special sauce: Spicy. Wasn't as spicy as I would have liked it to be, but good. I didn't order fries because they ordered one medium-sized fry, which serves 4 people. They also ordered a hot chicken cheese dip with tostido chips, very good. My wife ordered a salad, which was called Everything, but the kitchen sink. She said it was very good. The girls ordered a Shrimp Po-boy, another ordered a spicy chicken sandwich, and the third ordered chicken brats. Everyone said their meal was great. The restaurant has a lot of good character and charm to it, it was a fun time.

Such a cool spot. When looking for a place to eat close to the hospitals, there not much. Do yourself a favor and cross the highway to eat at Grace. Fantastic atmosphere and delicious food! Will be back!

Staff, food, and atmosphere all took 5 stars!!!! Staff, especially the handsome bartender, would have gotten a 10! Suggested staff faves, and even fed the parking meter out front for us so that we wouldn't get towed!!! Will be giving this spot as a recommendation for all my friends/family who frequent St Louis!

BEST FRIED CHICKEN IN MISSOURI. No questions asked. The chicken is moist and tender on the inside, perfectly crispy on the outside, and delicious all over. Out party of five finished everything we ordered and were full, but still wanted more. The cornbread, fried pickles, and cod were about as good as the chicken. For dessert, you MUST try the Strawberry Banana Bread Pudding. The warm bread immediately disintegrates as soon as it is placed on your tongue. This restaurant is incredible.

The atmosphere was nice. We both got the catfish. I enjoyed the garlic mash, but it didn't have enough gravy. My husband had the 3 piece of catfish with fries, greens and Mac and cheese. He ask for the hot catfish I had original. Hos wasn't hot and they forgot the Mac and cheese. I enjoyed the meal but the catfish was small strips. I thought for the price that it would be a fillet. The best part was the gooey butter cake milkshake. Next time I'll try the chicken.

I ordered the 3 piece Catfish Meal with some greens and a slice of honey glazed cornbread. Everything was good except for the cornbread. It did not taste as if it were cooked all the way. Besides that, it was a cool atmosphere. Very laid back and chill vibe from everyone involved. I will definitely come back to try their turkey legs. At the time that we were there, they were not offering it because it was a few hours before 4 pm. Also that hot sauce is not for the faint of heart. Dip before your pour to make sure you can handle that heat.

Thanks to an article about the best places to eat @StLouis #foodnetwork we ended up having lunch at this lovely place. I tried the cornmeal crust catfish, the best crust ever, fresh fish and the pink sauce with a spicy touch, perfect. We also ordered the chicken tender which come with fries, and the BBQ Sauce, the star of the day, absolutely unique… you should sell that sauce!!

The food was bomb! Absolutely will be returning! The drinks weren’t too strong but they definitely made you feel like you got your monies worth. Our food came out of the kitchen STEAMING. Not many restaurants give the food hot like this but I enjoyed it and was thankful because I’m a slow eater and I like for my food to stay hot longer than usual. The chicken AND shrimp were made to perfection. The greens might have been from a can. They reminded me very much of Glory Greens from my younger years. The macaroni was not cheesy enough for my liking. The sauce I chose paired well with both the chicken and the shrimp, had a nice kick to it not overly spicy. The service was excellent the staff greeted us as soon as we entered through the doors.

I really wanted to absolutely love this place... it has MEAT in the name! Plus, I've seen them a bunch on the 'gram, so I knew I wanted to visit for quite some time. My wife and I got lucky and it wasn't super busy just yet when we got there. Unfortunately, the cashier/associate who was at the register/counter didn't seem too interested in engaging us, recommending anything, asking us if we had been there before, or similar. We didn't necessarily feel rushed as others walked in behind us, but the whole process felt awkward for first timers. We eventually chose a few things (breakfast sandwich with fried chicken, Egg Rick Muffin and an heirloom corn waffle). The fried chicken on the breakfast sandwich was spectacular! I'd totally come back to try that in a different format, too. The Egg Rick Muffin was okay at best - the muffin itself is pretty hearty, so if you like carbs you'll enjoy it. The sausage is strange; neither my wife could put our 'finger' on it, but there was something strange going on inside. And we couldn't finish it. The corn waffle is as named (we just had no idea) - it appears to be chock full of cornmeal, so the crunch was a bit of a surprise. Again, had we been asked about being first timers, and been engaged, we would have been more likely to ask questions. The cashier gave us a water cup and one for my paid-for drink, but we were never told what to do with them. Again, opportunity to educate new guests was lost. We sat at a table for 10-15 minutes and I finally decided to just walk around and see if there was a drink station. Found it - over on the backside of the bar. Had no clue, but glad when I found it. The associate who brought our food, which came out at a reasonable time, was nice - even asking if we needed anything else. He even came back later and grabbed some of our dishes mid-meal. The bartender was seriously chatting up 4-5 folks who were sitting at the bar and I wished we had met him first. Seemed really nice and welcoming. We just felt like outsiders, rather than guests. Anyway, like I said, the chicken on the breakfast sandwich was awesome. They have flavor choices and even pieces or tenders (and more). So, I would be willing to just come here for chicken. At least I wouldn't be a 'rookie' the second time.

The food here is so good. Tried the greens and butter beans and they were delicious. Could smell the yummy food down the block also. Definitely would recommend them if you want a good piece of fried cat fish.

Visited this past Saturday & while busy, we had no trouble finding a seat. Knowing they'd been voted as having the best Fried Chicken in the state by the Food Network, we had to try them. The food was not bad but far from worthy of the title of best. Food was overpriced & no one liked the ala carte aspect. One in our party got the 2 PC catfish & with only a piece of bread & some relish coming with the fish, they were ready & wanting to go eat a meal after. We had children with us & FYI for anyone wanting to take kids there, there is no Kids Menu so be ready to spend a small fortune to feed your children. If I was along for the ride & someone stopped there, I'd eat. I would not, however, opt to pick there again myself. At least we can say we tried it.

This is our second visit. Nice location, interesting interior, and great food. We tried their fruit beer last time and it was amazing. We ordered the chicken waffles this time. The waffles were too dry and stiff. The fried chicken (dark) were juicy and fresh. Though the skin was not crunchy enough. Would recommend everyone trying, probably the best fried chicken in that area.

The place is really well decorated. Food is so and so and definitely pricey for the quality. The green tomatoes were incredibly sour and not too my taste. The shrimp was absolutely delicious. The sides were acceptable. The portions we a bit on the smaller side for me. Overall a nice place but not my favorite.

Solid 4 stars. 1st time to visit. Parking is along the street so be sure to park close to the curb. Clean and inviting restaurant with a straightforward menu. Standard pricing so budget about $20 per person. Split an order of Grace's Deviled Eggs ($7.75) which were average as the flavor was missing kick. Ordered the 3 piece cornmeal catfish ($11) with a side of brussel sprouts and carrots ($3.75). The hot honey was an absolute delight when drizzled onto the pieces of fish. Overall, this was an enjoyable restaurant experience with good food. All the employees were friendly and genuinely cared about customers' experience from observing their interactions during the meal.

A little surprised this place doesn't have a higher rating cause everything was on point for me and my friends. Four of us got the tenders meal deal which comes with three tenders in your choice of heat level, fries and a drink. I opted for the hot chicken and comeback sauce. SO good. Generous portion of chicken and the sauce was delicious. Chicken was pretty spicy. Wait for the food was a little long but expected because it was freshly made. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The only thing we didn't like was the mac and cheese cause the noodles were hard but that could be a preference thing. 100% would come back.

Food is always amazing and the atmosphere is great for families, date night or just a home cooked meal. Service needs a manager that understands customer care. Walked in a little overwhelmed by menu and person at the counter did not offer help, guidance or anything. Didn't give us our cups for sodas....welcome, thank you or anything. Sat for 15 minutes without a hello or kiss my ***. I love it here but done with it because of Service. Wishing you a better experience.

Great tasting Southern food in the heart of the Grove neighborhood! The service is fast and efficient, you place your order, and someone will bring the food to your table. There is a mix between fast food and casual dining ambiance. You get your food quickly, but there isn't a feeling of being rushed so that you can enjoy your meal.

Good food and yummy dry rub on ribs. Whiskey sauce is thin .. for me.. but we had rave reviews on the fried liver and fried pickles.

Absolutely delicious. One of my St. Louis staples now. Fried chicken sandwich was juicy, potato salad was different and so good, and the natural sodas were bomb. Service was incredible. The gentleman who was bartending should get a raise 👏

If I could give Grace a 4.5, I would. The flavor is incredible, the service superb, but I always strive for integrity and openness when sharing my opinion (as I hope all restaurants would encourage)! 😊 I'll get to the 4/5 in a moment, but, first, the goods: The shrimp po boy was stellar. I was expecting the shrimp to be the star of the show, but that SLAW... holy cow. I know being stoked about slaw seems odd, but it was the real winner. 🦐 My wife absolutely LOVED the chicken fried steak, and she said she would definitely get it again! 👌 The fried chicken is immediately legendary. Here are the point deductions, as promised: - The mac n' cheese is nothing special, and, most notably, bland. Our family of four agreed we would skip this side next time - The deviled eggs, while delicious, we're overpriced. I usually avoid talking about prices in my reviews for the sake of subjectivity, but something about 4 deviled eggs for $7.75 didn't add up. Again, consider this a mild knock, as cost vs value is subjective to the consumer. - All sides are a la carte. This isn't necessarily a diss, as much as it is informative. I know a lot of finer restaurants favor not including sides with a main entre, but it was still a little bit of a damper on the whole experience. Overall, I would happily give Grace 4.5/5 🌟. We will eat here again, and I encourage everyone to try it, too! 🤙🫶💪

My wife has wanted to go here ever since she saw this place on Netflix. I had the 2 piece fried chicken with coleslaw and my wife had tenders and catfish. All the food was so 🔥🔥🔥. The chicken was so juicy and tender. The fish was out of this world! Very friendly staff and uniquely decorated interior.

Ordered over the phone (8/4/23 11:57am) the lady on the phone was very unfriendly and inattentive and trying to get me off the the phone as fast as possible. Ordered two piece white and chicken tender meal both hot. When I got there I noticed on the ticket the tender meal said “original” so I told the guy in the window that I ordered both hot. He gave me the option to either to give me either spicy oil to put over it, which I think would just make it soggy, or have them remake it. I chose the latter. 2 minutes later I got my order back and drove home, which was less than a 5 minutes drive. After opening the box the chicken tenders were soggy and the breading falling off. I immediately called them again and complained that the chicken tenders were very greasy and I don’t think they remade it and just poured the oil over it. She claimed it was remade and that they would not be remaking it again.

I visited on a Thursday for lunch. The menu all looked good but what stuck out to me was the catfish po’boy. I also got the slaw and a drink. Pricing was pretty good and the portions were adequate for lunch. The order came out in under 10 minutes and looked amazing. The taste was even better. I’ve never had slaw like that before and honestly want to buy more. The staff was friendly and the manager we spoke with was great as well.

Food was all top notch. Hard to go wrong and reasonably priced for the portion. Try the pickles!

Food was amazing. I had catfish and deviled eggs - so good!!!! Chicken sandwich and Cheese Burger my family had was delicious as well. Fries - perfect! Restaurant vibe was awesome! Staff friendly, courteous, and outgoing and hard working! Only minus was I wish the bathroom was a little cleaner because it didn't match the excellent food, staff, or experience. It might have just been a fluke regarding the bathrooms or that they were so busy they couldn't go in and retouch it. Do NOT let this one comment stop you from going here because you will miss out on a great place, with amazing food, and a friendly staff!

Great spot for lunch or dinner! Mostly fried options, but don’t skip on the salads. Tenders and fries are my go-to, and the chocolate shake is awesome. Fast and friendly service, too.
