Made our reservation almost 2 months ago only to get there to check in and find out that they didn't have enough rooms. Housekeeping didn't have the rooms done at 5:00 pm and the front desk couldn't or wouldn't guarantee our reservation. The place is now a Holiday Inn as well and the Holiday Inn is an Elimwood. Very poor way to run a business and almost 24 hours later we still haven't received our refund. I'd give it zero stars if that was an option.

It was very unprofessional, we were there for 4 days for my bday. We wake up get dressed, puts sheets and towels outside the door, saw housekeeping in the hallway as I was leaving, I said to myself perfect timing, they were cleaning rooms. Saw other sheets, towels out on the floor as well. So I come back, sheets, towels were still sitting outside the door, I was LIVID 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. Walk inside the room, they hadn't even step foot in the room. We didn't have towels or ANYTHING!!!. Call down stairs, she said when the night person come in he'll bring it up, no one ever came, call down there around 10ish. And asked was anyone gonna bring clean towels are sheets up, she said I'll call and see what's going on, they eventually brought it around 11:30. We will NEVER come back SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE

**Updated** Appreciated the quick response from the hotel to address the issues, rare to see actions taken to make up for shortcomings during a stay. Very professional and would consider returning.** We booked in advance that day and checked in late (10pm) after a day of driving. We had 2 rooms and both of them were still dirty from the previous guests (sheets in piles on the beds, towels and trash on the floor, obviously no housekeeping done). The front desk clerk didn’t seem too surprised and gave us 2 new rooms. These ones at least had minimal housekeeping done but were still dirty (long black hairs and a piece of trash in the bed sheets, old used soap bar still in the bathroom). Shower didn’t work well in one of the rooms and tv didn’t work in the other. Location is convenient and hotel looks newer and well kept on outside/entry but doesn’t seem like they clean the rooms very well. We stay at La Quinta often because they are pet friendly and usually clean, but definitely will not return to this one.

I was concerned about how many negative comments I read about this hotel prior to check in, but I have to say they must have fixed whatever was wrong because our stay was excellent! The 2 women who were at the front desk upon check in were very friendly and both answered all questions we had. Room was nice looking and clean. Great shuttle service to/from concert venue with a friendly driver. At 11:30 at night I realized we had only been left with decaf coffee so I went down to the front desk and someone immediately helped me and gave us extra coffee packets. We will stay here every time we're in town.

Older hotel but well maintained and clean, maybe since previous reviews they’ve improved their cleaning requirements. Surprisingly quiet considering it’s an airport location. Staff are super friendly and always greet you when they see you. A few staff members did make remarks or wouldn’t come near us when we had our pet with us, it was a little discouraging since this hotel brand does pride themselves on allowing pets and our pets are just as much a guest as we are. During our particular visit they were very crowded but had ample staff as to not be overwhelmed. Someone had left towels and diapers lying on the floor in the pool area; I brought it to the attention of a staff member and they immediately cleaned it up. Indoor pool is always a plus but the temperature was a little low.

Overall, I am satisfied with my stay at this hotel. We arrived and checked in with no issue. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful; when I noticed several pizza stains on one of the comforters, they brought a new one promptly. The location is perfect if you're visiting the St. Charles Convention Center (10 minutes or less). It is also close to the nearby amphitheatre. The pet policy here is fantastic. There is no pet fee, and there are grassy areas to walk your dog. Downsides: - I found the beds to be hard and uncomfortable to sleep on. This was just my preference. - If we didn't have the air on 60, it wouldn't cool the room down at all. - The television would come in and out signal frequently. In short, I would recommend this hotel for anyone needing to stay in the Maryland Heights area, especially if you are traveling with pets.

Wonderful Experience! My husband was here for work training & we stayed 5 nights. EVERYONE was super friendly, you never passed a hotel staff member in the hall that did not greet you. The shuttle service was wonderful. The room & the bathroom were both very clean & well maintained. Based on this experience we will certainly stay again if we make it back to MO!!!

Our room was very humid. The carpet was damp. The bathtub did not drain while showering. The breakfast was good and offered a good selection. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is close to many restaurants. It is close to the airport. We used the shuttle service twice. It was very good. We thought a lot of the GM being willing to drive the shuttle. That is above and beyond. Thank you!

This was such a bad experience that I checked out 15 minutes into my stay and found another hotel. The front desk staff was not welcoming which wasn't a big deal. I checked in and we walked into a room that someone else was already using. The housekeeper saw that and was surprised we got a room with someone else using it already, so she sent us back to the front desk. We got a different room, which reeked of smoke and had poorly been cleaned. Tiles missing off the floor, body hair in the tub, smoke smell, and other issues. After this, we just didn't want to mess with an unprofessional staff who gave off the attitude that we were a problem for them, as well as how disorganized and unclean it was. Also, the lobby was not kept up with and was filthy as well. Almost every table was dirty. This was frustrating because I had a toddler to manage and had to take an extra 2 hours out of my trip to work with this staff to get situated and then to find another hotel.

It's ok. The best part of this hotel is the complimentary shuttle. We got picked up from the airport, shuttled to and from a shopping center, dinner, and back to the airport all for free. Very friendly drivers. When we got to the room it was obvious dirty. Floor didn't look vacuumed and there was toenail clippings on the bathroom floor. No remote for the TV in the room, we had to ask the front desk to provide one. There is a safe in the room, but it operates with a key not a combination, and of course we did not have the key. The TV did have a pretty decent amount of channels, more than we were expecting. Pillows were amazing, both firm and soft on the bed (my favorite part of the experience). The bathrooms leave a lot to be desired and our toilet did not flush during our stay. Shower water went everywhere due to the flimsy shower curtain. However, the shampoo and conditioner was very nice and smell great! They do have a complimentary breakfast, but we did not try it. Over is was a slight below average experience. If you can go somewhere else, I would unless you need the shuttle services.

My wife and I traveled to town for business for one evening and stayed here. It looks nice outside and the lobby is very welcoming. However, our room was filthy. The shower would not drain, the room smelled musty, the sheets were stained, the beds were as hard as a rock, and the room had not been deep cleaned in months. If our stay would have been any longer than one night I would have asked for a refund and went elsewhere. Would not recommend. We spent $129 for one night. This place is not worth half of that.

We stayed for the park and fly option. The staff was great and very friendly, and I thought the bed was comfortable. However, they overbooked the double queen rooms and we had 3 adults so they comped us an extra king room. This option turned out to be even better for us with the exception that one of the nonsmoking rooms they gave us had clearly been smoked in. I called the front desk to report it as I was asked to sign a no smoking document and didn’t want them to think it was us. I expected that they would offer to move us as well, but that wasn’t the case. We were only there for 4 hours total before we had to leave for the airport to I didn’t push the issue, but was a little disappointed

Under renovation, but we were on the 3rd floor which is completely finished. No complaints at all there. Nice room - big - could've had more furniture in it, actually. Good shower, all the expected amenities. My only complaint was that the 'hot' breakfast was barely warm. Guess I could have popped the eggs and bacon in the microwave, but it was already cooked - didn't want it getting rubbery. Desk staff and dining area staff very polite and helpful. Went to Verizon Center for show and staff gave us dining suggestions and time/traffic advice - lifesavers! By the way, Dave and Buster's was a hit with us! Would recommend this Wingate and will stay here again if we are in the area.
