Solid breakfast. You get a huge amount of food. Ordering a build your own burrito and it came with hash browns and two pancakes for $13. The burrito was tasty and had a variety of toppings to chose from. Friendly staff. Be prepared to wait on the weekend (because it’s popular!). They do have a parking lot but it’s laid out strangely so drive carefully.

First time there and it was great. The place was hopping, but the server (Anna) was friendly, attentive and very efficient. I enjoyed watching her interact with her elderly regular customers. My sandwich was excellent. I got a grilled chicken with bacon, tomato and avocado. I don't know their secret, but that was the juiciest chicken I've ever had. And their fries - yum! Piping hot, crispy and flavorful!

Not a bad wait, staff were friendly. Didn’t appreciate being seated beside another group,we had to share condiments and were very close .I wanted to enjoy breakfast with my wife not with strangers.Definitely a bit awkward forewarning. The food was a bit bland not much flavor in my opinion. Pancakes were good though.

This has to be one of my best restaurant experiences in St. Louis. My omelette was so good and my pancakes were so fluffy. We really enjoyed ourselves. The warm welcoming attitude of the employees was just fantastic. Do yourself a favor? Stop in and enjoy their fantastic cuisine!

Loved it here. This is a family owned business and you can really tell by how friendly and nice the staff were. We joined the online waiting list so the wait to get seated was minimal. Tried out HK and classic breakfast. They both came with a side of pancakes (or toast if you wish) and they both tasted really good! If you're looking for a decadent skillet breakfast then definitely go with the HK. It lives up to its name. Clean toilets, parking available and booster seats for the kids.

AMAZING! Food was so delicious, fresh, not greasy. We had the French Toast on Brioche bread, Omg, taste like a funnel cake/doughnut soo decadent, bread was amazingly soft and about 1" thick! I wish I had it right now. Yummy. The hamburger was on a toasted Brioche bun and it was like a Pillow, the softest bread ever, the burger was grilled /blackened perfectly! Then also had the Cali Eggs Benedict with hash browns. It was so good as well, maybe a little more lemon in the hollandaise but other than that. We would live to go back and we will. Great prices as well, not too much, nice place, people. Parking is a bit hard, they have a lot but they are swamped alot. We went at 1130am too? So good. Not disappointed at all.

This place was extremely busy, but the customer service did lack in any area. Menu can be quite overwhelming. There are so many things to choose. Everything sounds delicious. I narrowed it down and was very pleased with my selection. Had the classic breakfast. Wasn't disappointed at all. It's definitely a place that's worthwhile.

I’ve always wanted to try this place. Great service and great food. This place is truly a gem in the area. We tried the omelet and the skillet . The qualities were both great. They were stuffed with generous portion of ingredients. The price was also reasonable. I will definitely recommend this place if anyone is looking for a place to have some brunch.

This place is a spiritual experience. If you are looking for the real deal, a restaurant that is staffed with food service professionals, that serves up amazing food with even more amazing mimosa-riffic options, search no further. In fact, do yourself a solid and ask for Katie’s section. 😍

Price is just right, servings plenty, pancakes were big and fluffy, I had the tower grove and based from reviews I had high hopes but it’s just alright. My toast was burnt, if I was toasting bread for my guests, I wouldn’t serve that (see picture.) I asked our server if she would recommend the fried cheese and I was thinking the white frying cheese which were my favorite instead it was a cheese stick deep fried with breading. It wasn’t quite cheddar, but has a consistency of melting cheese, so maybe Velveeta? My mom had the omelette and it was on the dry side. The hash brown served with the orders were not quite crispy, more on soggy wet side. I would come back again because it’s breakfast and just order the regular American breakfast fare. Coffee was good and the coffee server kept coming back to check on our cups which I really like. Service is fast.

I had an unexpected overnight in St. Louis and went looking for breakfast. On my way to my usual Waffle House, I saw reviews for Chris' Pancake & Dining. I had to wait almost 15 minutes for a parking space to open up, so it appeared to be popular. I asked a friendly server if I should go with a chef's salad, a patty melt, or the Country Omelete, which was described as Onions, sausage, cheddar cheese & hashbrowns, topped with sausage gravy. "Definitely go with the omelette," my server advised. It arrived in a reasonable time, and was huge. It had way more raw onions than the other ingredients. It was OK, but left me wishing I had gone with one of my other alternatives. I wanted to get back on the road, but my check hadn't arrived yet. I could see my server back in the kitchen playing with her phone. After about 15-20 minutes, she finally came out to see if I needed anything else or was ready to pay. I'll go on to the Waffle House the next time.

Here's the deal! You have to go here the eggs were absolutely fabulous. The pancakes took on now Taste of the wrong and I would say that about the eggs as well. Also, I had ginger in my eggs you would not be disappointed I like what they've done with the food menu.

We only ended up here because of power outages in The Hill. How lucky we were to find this place!! From the moment our waitress first visited our table we felt like family. Appreciated, welcomed, and comfortable. Lots of great things on the menu but we both settled on breakfast items. While the hash browns were chewy (maybe they had been sitting around for a bit?) everything else was delicious! The omelette was made perfectly, my wife’s eggs were cooked exactly right. The pancakes were fluffy and super tasty. Consistent refills and table clearing during our meal. Prompt and attentive. This place is nowhere near my house but I plan on returning as soon as I can. :-)

This was my second visit to Chris' and it was just as good as their location @ the Docket. Hats off to the staff. They did an exceptional job on a busy morning with a smile. Very courteous as well. The food was delectable. Fluffy pancakes and eggs scrambled to perfection. Not to mention the grit bowl....oooweee, delicious. Their turkey sausage patties had my mouth watery. Enjoyed every bite. If you are from out of town like myself and looking for a good breakfast spot with good service, look no further.

We were visitors to the City on a holiday weekend and chose this place to eat on Sunday morning. Parking lot was full so we knew it was popular. We went on wait list but as time passed because we had scheduled a tour we knew we could not so went to hostess to remove our name. Owner overheard and asked how many and got us seated immediately due to cancelation. Despite business of the place there was no feeling of rushed from staff. Food and drinks came out timely. Staff was Friendly. This restaurant was such a rarity to find today. Owners did Not take shortcuts with staff or food. Our food was excellent. In fact we came a second time the following just to ensure it wasn't a fluke. Same service. Ordered different items, just as good. Cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. If in St Louis, make this one of your dining choices. Well worth it!

We were driving through St. Louis on the way to Yellowstone and stopped by Vidan Family Chiropractic to get a great adjustment from my friend Dr. Alex Vidan, and then stopped here at this place……. The best pancakes on the planet.

Staff was pleasant and kind. Food was delicious. But I don’t think this place deserves such common accolades. There’s a reason this place has been around for so long. The only downside was that I had a hard time choosing my meal because everything sounded so good. There’s something for everyone at Chris’! Like the Terminator once said… “I’ll be back.”

Upon arrival, my family and I were seated immediately. We were welcomed with warm smiles from our waitresses Jondon and Dainna. These wonderful ladies took great care of us. Jondon made sure our beverages was refilled in a timely manner. Dainna made sure our order was 100% accurate and she nailed it! She is definitely a pro since she has been with the company for 35 years! The atmosphere felt very welcoming! I love restaurants that make you feel like family. We will definitely be back!

Landed here on a trip to St. Louis because it is a close walk from a bus stop. The service and atmosphere were both awesome. Dana checked on my several times and was super kind. The hash browns were crispy, the eggs were perfectly over medium, and the bacon was beyond perfect. I'd definitely recommend coming here!

My son found this hidden gem on south west avenue. They have been around for over 37 years. Wow. I tried the country omelette and Belgium waffle. They serve breakfast all day. We will return to taste other items on the menu. Reasonable prices. Our bill was almost $40.

Everything tasted great. We shared the bacon & cheese omlete. My son also got a kids grilled cheese. He wasn't a fan of the hot chocolate and got a coke instead. I got a coffee with an added shot of espresso. It was delicious 😋... We went for the pancakes they were okay in our book the eggs were the star. One thing I wasn't happy with I ordered a side of toast and it was only one slice of bread generally its 2 but besides that we will definitely be back to try more of the menu.!!!

My husbands family is from Saint Louis and while visiting they really wanted us to try this spot out. The atmosphere was nice but the food not so much. I ordered the classic with Turkey sausage and hot chocolate. The eggs were runny and pancakes were hard, my mother inlaw and I had to send both our orders back. My husband ordered their Buffalo wings and breakfast fried rice. He said the fried rice was delicious but the wings had no flavor at all. They taste like expired hot sauce. We gave this restaurant a 6/10, because the hospitality was good but the food didn’t match.

Great place for breakfast. Nice selection. Staff is very helpful. I always plan on taking a pic of the food when it first arrives, but I don’t seem to remember when I see the morning breakfast. Edit: Be wary of the extra fee the pay by phone app charges you. Additional edit: tried the African Sauce on the skillet for breakfast and it was tasty.

Best place for brunch in St. Louis MO. My husband first introduced me to this lovely place since we relocated to St Louis. We make sure to have our brunch here during weekends. Absolutely love the quality and service. We would definitely like to recommend it to our friends and family.
