Everyone says it’s better from Canada. But the reality is the view and experience of the falls is the same, but the difference is Canadian side is more commercialized than the New York. It’s huge falls and the maid of the mist is the best experience to view the falls. Love the different views of the falls and it’s scary to look deep down from top.

Majestic, Breathtaking and Stunning! The grandeur of the falls can be experienced by taking Maid of the Mist Boat tour and the force of the falls can be experienced by taking the Cave of the winds tour. Be prepared to get soaked in these tours. Seeing the falls up close is truly a surreal feeling which one has to experience. Highly recommended to book Discovery Pass online and save some money for all the major attractions + trolley tour.

Simply breathtaking. This is one of the things every person should visit during their life. One of the best natural landmarks I have ever seen. Please visit if you can. You can even spot raccoons in the park. Visit the Canadian side for better view, but also check the US side.

(Translated by Google) Although Niagara Falls is huge enough to be listed in the top 10 among the world's largest waterfalls, the world's largest waterfall is the Khone Falls. While the Khone Waterfall in Laos is at the top of the list, we should mention that Niagara Falls is the largest waterfall in North America. The combination of Horseshoe (Horseshoe Falls), American Falls and Bridal Veils Falls formed Niagara Falls. The largest of these waterfalls is Horseshoe Falls and the other two waterfalls are described as small waterfalls.

Niagara Falls is a place you know about, always see it on television, social media and d heard about it. Finally I had the opportunity to visit it and wow, what a sight in person. You really don’t understand the vastness of the falls until you are there. We went super early, so it was easy to find parking. We took one of the boat tours and I would definitely recommend it! We also crossed over to the Canada side, this took a while due to the line and we cross over around noon. Overall amazing experience.

Well everyone said go to the Canada side to see the falls, they were correct!! Amazing views!! The closer you get you can feel the mist from the falls and you can hear the falls!! Parking was tight and you can spend anywhere from 15 to 25 a day to park depending on location. Also I would plan at least 3 nights maybe 4. There is a lot to do for everyone!!

Niagara Falls is a nature masterpiece. The mighty waterfalls, accompanied by mist and a symphony of sounds, create a captivating ambiance. The views from observation points are awe-inspiring, and the evening illumination transforms the falls into a magical display. Despite the crowds, the sheer beauty of Niagara is a must-see marvel.

A popular spot for getting wowed or soaked amid natural splendor, Niagara Falls attracts curious spectators and adventurous honeymooners from around the world. The splendid main attraction - more than six million feet of water cascading over a rocky crest - sits partially in the United States and partially in Canada. The U.S. side has recently been busy promoting other activities to lure visitors. Venues like the Aquarium of Niagara offer parents fun and engaging alternatives for kids, after or in between visits to the Falls. Outdoor recreation such as hiking, biking, fishing and camping can be found at the Niagara Falls State Park. The storied history of attempts to conquer the majestic Falls is captured at the Daredevil Museum; the Schoellkopf Museum concentrates on the history and geology. There's more to the Falls than, well, the Falls, including a wide array of dining and lodging options, from budget to upscale. This awe-inspiring region makes for an exhilarating and multi-faceted getaway

Absolutely breathtaking!! Running in the state park was the most enjoyable time I ever had throughout this pandemic. Listening to the falls and looking at the blossomimg flowers! Spring was here in early May! Maid of the Mist & the Observatory deck are not to be missed! Happy to get this bucket list checked ✔️

Wow... these falls are an amazing sight. Truly majestic and a bucket list item for sure. The Table Rock Centre is a must see. Amazingly close to the falls for the BEST pics. The behind the falls attraction is really cool, telling the stories of the falls. You literally walk behind the falls, with 2 lookout points half way around the falls. Happy to check this off the bucket list!

About as awesome as nature gets. The majesty of this is stunning. On the Canadian side there is a lovely restaurant overlooking Horseshoe falls. Reasonable prices for a natural wonder of the world. We could have stayed all day. Breathtaking in the winter. Boat trips don't run this time in February and still stunning to be there

Niagara Falls, a majestic ode to nature's splendour, humbles humanity with its awe-inspiring cascade. The adjacent street, adorned with lively Christmas decorations, amplifies the enchantment. As night descends, a mesmerizing four-minute firework display unfolds, particularly enchanting on winter weekend evenings at 8 pm. This ethereal showcase elevates the experience, transcending the ordinary and fostering a profound sense of wonder. The synchronous magic of the falls and weekend fireworks, under nature's mighty presence, crafts a spellbinding synergy. Visitors depart with indelible memories, having witnessed a truly magical spectacle that unites the power of nature and human celebration seamlessly.

I enjoyed a breathtaking view from the Canadian side. The sheer power of this endless force of nature was invigorating. The sounds of the falls, the perpetual flow of water—it all had a revitalizing effect. There was something in the mist that rejuvenated me. Observing people from around the world gathered to witness this wonder was fascinating. The experience on the U.S. side offered a different perspective, yet nature remained awe-inspiring. It's one of the world's natural wonders, and that, to me, is the magic of this spot. I aspire to experience the falls by land, air, and water.

As a kid, I always dreamt about going to Niagara Falls. I finally got a chance last year and my oh my. Probably one of the best US trips! The sound of the water falls, the cool misty breeze, the atmosphere. A perfect getaway combo! If you’re going there, Maid of Mist tour is absolutely necessary. You cannot visit the Niagara and not jump on a cruise. I witnessed a rainbow up close for the first time. And literally from the middle of the fall! Checkout the pictures!

I have been fortunate in my travels to see some amazing places and for me this was one of them. I have no idea why this is not one of the eight wonders of the world. I can’t describe my feeling but would for sure recommend anyone wanting to see Mother Nature to experience it in close range. Again truly blessed to still experience some super unique things in my life 🙏🏿

(AMERICAN SIDE) View the jaw dropping beauty of Niagara Falls! You can go for a boat ride on the maid of the mist for an up-close encounter with the Rainbow falls, venture to the cave of the winds to experience the pounding water of the bridal falls and hurricane level winds, ride the trolley all day for only $3 per person, stop by the visitor center and gift shop, walk the observation tower, and more! Be prepared for a lot of walking if you plan to do all of the attractions. They also have multiple trails to hike as well. Prices may seem pricey at first, but all money spent is well worth it. Parking is $15 on the weekends and $10 on weekdays. You can probably guess that this natural wonder is breath taking and awe inspiring but it’s better than can be explained in words and you must experience it yourself. There are multiple shops and food establishments with exotic choices in the “central park” area as well as a small made-to-order food court on Goat Island. Overall, the park is very clean, and the staff is kind and personable, and most areas are dog friendly. Take lots of picture (a waterproof phone case is highly recommended) as you will want to capture the moment even though the beauty of being there in person will not be the same when looking back at the photos. Be prepared to be amazed at the rushing water, class 6 rapids, misty rainbows, and rock formations. You’ll be blown away!

Absolutely breathtaking falls that has always been on my dream list. Probably winter isn’t the best season to visit because most of the adventure activities are closed but the falls are gorgeous as ever! I recommend going a little early to beat the crowds and obviously folks were right when they said the Canadian side has better views because you can pretty much be on the horseshoe falls and walk along and take great pictures of the falls and the rainbow bridge.

Beautiful falls, especially from the observation deck (free admission). American side doesn't offer as good of views due to the angle of the falls, especially horseshoe falls but you can check out three sisters and goat island . Went in the winter, it's very chilly so dress appropriately and the paths are a little slick and not very crowded. I definitely recommend seeing the falls at night it's a whole another experience. Parking is $5.00.

We are travelling from NYC in late December and trying to plan the best day trip. Thinking of flying into buffalo as its quicker and less hassle than a coach trip or seems so. Then Im not sure what's best!. Should we get a transfer to the US side and walk to Canadian side and back again. Then get the transfer back to the airport from US side. Or get dropped at one side and picked up from the other, if that's better then where should we start? Happy to add trips in but what will we realistically have time to do. Also I think there may be a light show on at 4.30pm. Should we stay for that? I know it will be really cold, so not sure how long we should plan to go for. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Definitely breathtaking natural beauty. Gigantic waterfall! The area is well developed which sometimes can be a bit too commercial. But still a must go in Canada if I’m honest. The boat cruise is also a must try as well. It can give you a full experience for the water fall.

It was an absolutely breathtaking experience. We made sure to spend enough time there to see the views during both the day and at night. The highlight was definitely the Maid of the Mist boat tour. They take you right up to the foot of the Horseshoe Falls - talk about getting soaked! It was a total blast being that close to all that raging water. Highly recommend it. We also walked down to feel the spray at the American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls. The Cave of the Winds tour was fantastic for seeing the falls up close too. At night, the falls are all lit up in different colors. Honestly a beautiful sight.

Visiting Niagara Horseshoe Falls in Canada was a breathtaking experience that left a lasting impression. The sheer magnitude and power of the falls were awe-inspiring, with the roaring water cascading down the horseshoe-shaped rock formation. The mist rising from the falls created a refreshing atmosphere, and the vibrant rainbows dancing in the mist added a magical touch. The surrounding area was vibrant with energy, offering a variety of entertainment options and restaurants. Illuminated by colorful lights in the evening, the falls took on a different charm, creating a romantic and enchanting ambiance. The friendly and knowledgeable staff contributed to a positive overall experience, providing interesting facts about the falls and the surrounding area. While the attraction was undoubtedly a must-see, the crowds during peak times could be overwhelming. Despite this, the beauty and majesty of Niagara Horseshoe Falls made it a memorable and worthwhile destination, leaving me with a profound appreciation for the natural wonders our world has to offer This is one of the Best Memorable experience...

The falls themselves are impressive and definitely worth seeing at least once in your lifetime. However, the surrounding area is so overly touristy that it feels more like Disney World than the incredible natural wonder it is. We went in September and it was so crowded you were pretty much shoulder-to-shoulder with crowds the entire time. I would love to go back when it’s little less crowded.

Niagara Falls is a famous natural wonder located on the border between the United States and Canada. It consists of three waterfalls: Horseshoe Falls, American Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls. The falls are known for their breathtaking and awe-inspiring beauty. The powerful cascade of water, combined with the mist rising from the falls, creates a truly mesmerizing spectacle. The vibrant energy and the thunderous sound of the falls contribute to an unforgettable sensory experience. We viewed it from the American side. The surrounding area, with its vibrant tourist attractions, complements the natural beauty of the falls. From the iconic Maid of the Mist boat tour to the scenic walkways and observation points, there are numerous ways to appreciate the magnificence of Niagara Falls. I recommend booking the maid of the mist in advance. We visited during holiday season and had to wait in the queue for a while. We enjoyed the nearby town experience, small food trucks which are also open in the night. Overall, a visit to Niagara Falls is not just a sightseeing excursion; it's a journey into the heart of one of the world's most remarkable natural wonders.

Niagara Falls very good experience in my life Niagara Falls is the collective, name of three big waterfalls on the Niagara River in eastern North America, on the border between the United States and Canada. The three waterfalls are: the Horseshoe Falls, sometimes called the Canadian Falls, the American Falls, and the smaller Bridal Veil Falls. The American Falls and the Horseshoe Falls are separated with Goat Island, and the Bridal Veil Falls separated from the other waterfalls with Luna Island. Niagara falls is very well known for both its beauty and hydroelectric power. It is been a tourist attraction, commercial site and hydroelectricity source since the 19th century. It is located near Niagara Falls, New York in the United States and Niagara Falls, Ontario in Canada. The volume of water approaching the falls during peak flow season may sometimes be as much as 225,000 cubic feet (6,400 m3) per second. The cities of Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, and Niagara Falls, New York, United States, are connected by two international bridges. Niagara Falls were formed when glaciers receded at the end of the Wisconsin glaciation (the last ice age). Water from the newly formed Great Lakes carved a path through the Niagara Escarpment en route to the Atlantic Ocean. The Escarpment has hard limestone on top and soft shale below. Although not very high, Niagara Falls is very wide, and is probably the most popular waterfall in the world. The Horseshoe Falls are the largest out of the three falls. It is named the Horseshoe Falls because it looks like a horse shoe. Niagara Falls is a very popular tourist destination and many people visit it on holiday in Canada. Niagara Falls is one Canada's proudest place.

Although there are more separate attractions in the summer, seeing it in the winter with the snow and ice is also amazing! Make sure you visit it at night too when they turn on the lights! The Niagara Falls is a natural wonder that must be seen in person to truly appreciate its beauty and grandeur. Located on the border between the United States and Canada, it is considered one of the most famous waterfalls in the world. Went to the Niagara Falls on the Canadian side. Thankfully it wasn’t frozen over even though it was winter time. Very impressive falls! Great place to walk and take in the view. The mist from the bigger falls will get you wet! Waterproof jacket and shoes recommended especially in the cold season. Pay for more time than you think because the falls are breathtakingly beautiful and you won’t want to rush back to the car!

Absolutely a must to visit at least once. Plan to visit the Canadian side for the best views and attractions. Doing a boat tour under the falls is really the best way to get a true feel for the massive size and volume of water moving through the falls. Mid summer is peak tourist season so the most is going on. (Longer lines) Winter is the slowest time with the least going on. (No lines)

Truly a wonder of the world! Definitely worth a visit to see the marvelous spectacle. We enjoyed the view from the Canadian side, and it is magnificent. Even if you do go on any of the attractions, going to simply view the falls is enough to leave you awestruck. If you want a bit more of a close up look, I recommend the behind the Falls walk, and the boat tour in that order. You get a cool view of the tunnels that were made years ago and now turned into an attraction. Just be ready to get wet! Luckily for both attractions you get a plastic poncho. The boat tour brings you into the mouth of the Horseshoe falls, and you can get a complete 180° view of waterfall. It's all you can see, and it is breathtaking. If you can stand to be in a long line, it's worth it in the end. The food and drinks are of course overpriced like a theme park, along with the long lines. But if you're only visiting once, it's worth it. Or you could come and just enjoy the view. There are a few places to have picnics on grass. Parking can get full quick, and it is paid parking spots, so come early so you don't have to walk as far. For all day parking I believe it was $30, and then you can enjoy it at your leisure. There is a long walkway that you can view from publicly. So you'd only pay for parking. The attractions all cost different amounts, but as a rough estimate, it's about $30 per adult for the attractions. The tunnels were a bit less, the zip line may have been a bit more. Remember, you will get wet on some of the attractions, so be ready to put your camera or phone in a waterproof bag or something, just it be safe. And remember, enjoy the waterfalls!

The mist, the sound, and the breathtaking views create an experience that stays with you forever. The surrounding parks and attractions offer so much to explore, and the boat tour near the falls is a must-try for an up-close encounter. The entire area is well-maintained, and the vibrant atmosphere adds to the overall charm. Whether day or night, Niagara Falls is a magical spectacle that everyone should witness at least once. It's a nature lover's paradise and a photographer's dream. Truly, a bucket-list destination that exceeded all expectations!

Nature's Symphony of Power and Beauty Niagara Falls is a true wonder of the natural world, a spectacle that leaves visitors breathless and in awe of nature's raw power and beauty. The close encounter with the falls on the Maid of the Mist ride is an experience that words can hardly do justice. Standing at the base of the falls, you're enveloped in a sensory symphony. The roar of the cascading water, the mist that dances around you, and the sheer force of nature are nothing short of exhilarating. It's an immersive encounter that leaves you feeling humbled by the immense power on display. The Maid of the Mist ride, taking you right into the heart of the falls, is a truly unforgettable experience. The rush of water all around you, the thundering sound, and the sheer magnitude of the falls create a sensory overload that is both invigorating and humbling. It's a moment where you feel the sheer force of nature in every droplet. The light show at Niagara Falls is a perfect complement to the daytime spectacle. As the sun sets and the falls are bathed in vibrant colors, it transforms into a mesmerizing display of artistry. The interplay of light and water creates a magical ambiance that lingers in your memory long after you've left. If you have the chance, this is a destination that will leave an indelible mark on your soul, reminding you of the incredible beauty and power that nature holds.

A must have nature experience. There is lots of activities to do around the area. If you are on a budget even walking the Fallview area is a great way to enjoy the scenery. Be careful as it can get wet and slippery from the Falls. I went during November so there wasn’t a lot of people but during the summer it is packed.

Niagara Falls is one of the most spectacular natural wonders in the world, I had the opportunity to see the falls up close I enjoyed it but I also struggled with the crowds, the rain, and the expenses. I don’t regret going to Niagara Falls, but I wish I had planned better and chosen a different time of year.

Visited Niagara in October of 2018. It was a beautiful time of year - the fall time without the cold weather. The pictures say everything that I cannot. You could hear the falls almost a mile before you got to them. The air was full of mist about the time you came out of the place to eat. We are at the top of Skylon Tower before going to the falls. There is a restaurant up there and the food was $55 per plate. It took an hour to rotate completely. That's how long it took for them to bring the meals and for us to eat it. When we left, we headed over to the falls. It was beautiful!!! It is worth seeing!! You'll be happy you saved your money.

It is a spectacular place. For many years, I have wanted, and I had not been encouraged to travel there, but I am going to visit my daughter, who is nearby. It encourages me. It is an impressively beautiful place. You have to come so you can enjoy how beautiful it is.

The powerful cascade of water, combined with the mist rising from the falls, creates a truly mesmerizing spectacle. The vibrant energy and the thunderous sound of the falls contribute to an unforgettable sensory experience. Whether viewing it from the Canadian or American side, each perspective offers a unique and awe-inspiring glimpse of nature's grandeur. I enjoy the breathtaking view of Niagara Falls. It is the combination of water flow from a height and it's volume that makes it an impressive place to visit. One can do a lot of fun activities and gaming in Niagara. You can also enjoy the skywheel ride at Clifton Hills street and enjoy local and foreign food outlets there. You can also see US water falls on the other side. One must visit this beautiful place.

Went there during Christmas time with my dad and brother. One of a kind amazing experience The falls is some other dimension thing. It is so peaceful and soul soothing to watch it and listen the sound of falling water. I Highly recommend getting the wonder pass and stay there for 2 days. There is lot to see apart from only the falls "A magical Getaway for any season" Great experience!!!

Mesmerizing and surreal, Niagara Falls in winter is a frozen masterpiece. The running water transforms into icy sculptures, creating a breathtaking contrast against the snow-covered surroundings. The ethereal beauty, combined with the crisp winter air, makes it a must-see spectacle. Nature's winter magic at its finest!

It's a magnificent wonder of God’s creation. The Canadian Niagara Horseshoe Falls is awesomely captivating. The parks around it is beautifully landscaped with mix of flowers, shrubs, trees grass, stones and well paved, clean roads and side streets. So many choices of activities to be in, from simply walking, selfies, various city tours including the famous Maid of the Mist cruise. There's casinos, restaurants, gift shops, fast food and many more. You have to have a full day to spend to enjoy the vast activities and beauty of the place it offers.

Niagara Falls consists of two waterfalls on the Niagara River, which marks the border between New York and Ontario, Canada: the American Falls, located on the American side of the border, and the Canadian or Horseshoe Falls located on the Canadian side.In fact, Niagara Falls is said to be the largest waterfall (by volume) in North America. ... It's said that over 90% of this volume is over the Horseshoe Falls. The Niagara River marks the border between New York, USA and Ontario, Canada. The American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls lies on the American side. That's because in general, Canada has the panoramic views while America gets you up close and personal with the waterfalls (including American and Bridal Veil Falls). And both sides gets you up close to the Horseshoe Falls. Of course, you should consider more than just the visual experience when planning a visit here.

If your in Ontario you have to go to Niagara fall. The boat ride is a must to enjoy the full experience. I recommend you book the tickets for the boat in advance to avoid the long lines. Also I would advise that you wear a flip flop or sandals on the boat as your shoes will get wet. If you can stay for the night and spend the whole day their as the view in the night with the lights are magnificent

Had amazing experience with this location, well organized parking space [Costly but you can find chipset too if you agree to walk] Additionally night life is different over this location. If we talk about food cost it is costlier as it is tourist place. All over experience after visiting multiple times always had good experience except some food restaurants.

Niagara Falls- amazing God creation. I enjoyed the Cave of the Winds most but riding the boat with the Lady of the Mist is also great! They said Canada side is better but when you’re able to go to both sides like we did, it’s the same joy as long as you try their attractions like cave of the winds!

Was digging out old photos and came across some from about 15-17 years ago. Remember being on location about 4 hours southeast. Was middle of winter. Very very cold. We drive there anyway just because we are risk takers. Life is to short not to take these moments. So glad we did. We haven't been back up in the area in all these years. Embrace the moments! Life is short. Live it. Love each other. Peace.

Wow!!!Awesome, Breathtaking, Beautiful, Gorgeous, Spectacular Niagara Falls. It is one of the natural wonders of the world. We come here every season, each and every time it feels surprisingly different and amazing. You will be pleased to see a welcoming rainbow over the falls almost always :). All time favourite place to visit when living in Ontario. It’s for all ages and all seasons. There are lots of attractions nearby in all seasons. You can plan activities like cave of the winds, maid of the mist boat tour during daytime and when these attraction are open. In the evening, the falls are lit up and visit the Clifton hill for other activities. Falls is a must visit during both day and night time.

Best scenic view of Niagara is from Canada. Watch out for lights and firecrackers. New Year celebrations are always good here with lot of folks coming in from all over Ontario and other parts to join the celebration in the vicinity of the majestic falls. Light show during Christmas and remember the food outlets close by 10:30/11:00pm. Lot of parking space on centre street, starting from $5 (if you are early).

Breathtaking. Beautiful. Sublime. I cannot say enough. All of my words are inadequate. The best view is indeed from the Canada side. The best vacationing experience is on the Canada side. If you book lodging that offers it take the Fallsview option if you can.

Niagara Falls is truly a wonder of mother nature and definitely one of the most beautiful places I have visited. It was worth the long drive all the way from Boston :) They say the Canadian side is better, but I think this is spectacular. Get on the boat that will take you close to the Waterfalls. You may get wet if it's windy, but it is an experience that you will remember. This is a must do, put it on you bucket list :)

Went every year from 2014-2016 and it takes about six hours one way from Connecticut. I think it's best during summer to beat the heat but there's always crowds. A passport is required to see the falls from Canada. I enjoyed walking through the park and seeing the falls from different angles. It's lit up at night time and must be nice to see when it's frozen during winter.

  • 4/5 Aimee 2 years ago on Google
This place is beautiful, even in early April. Grab your walking shoes and check out all the trails around the Falls. Unfortunately, there was a lot of construction happening down by the water and streets that made it very difficult to see from just driving around. The multiple bus tour parking lots take up prime scenery and what would be excellent parking for families, seniors and those whom are or maybe physically challenged. I'm looking forward to visiting again later this summer.

Simply stunning! We went here when on holiday in Toronto in October 2021. We were extremely lucky as because of Covid the area was absolutely empty and it felt like we were the only ones there. The views were absolutely stunning. We did the behind the falls tour which was really interesting and you did get a couple of really good and different views from the falls. We also did the boat trip out to the falls which is a MUST if you go here as it was absolutely amazing to be up that close to the actual falls. This really was a special place and a definite must see!

Niagara Falls….. It’s one of the most beautiful natural wonders in the world. Who wouldn’t want to walk across it? Niagara Falls is located 27 km (17 mi) north-northwest of Buffalo, New York, and 121 km (75 mi) south-southeast of Toronto, between the twin cities of Niagara Falls, Ontario, and Niagara Falls, New York. Niagara Falls was formed when glaciers receded at the end of the Wisconsin glaciation (the last ice age), and water from the newly formed Great Lakes carved a path over and through the Niagara Escarpment en route to the Atlantic Ocean.

You can spend an entire day here if you want, but if you only have half a day and want to get soaked, go on the Cave of the Winds. The Maid of the Mist was great, and it was cool to be so close to the falls - but if you've got that American spirit you need to go *IN* the falls. I did not expect to enjoy the falls as much as I did. I'm not a fan of large crowds or the rampant commercialization of the adjacent streets. But standing in the splash zone, visiting Timmie Ho's in Canada, and being generally touristy was quite fun. Go early and on a weekday if you can - the crowds are a bit smaller.

  • 5/5 Simon B. 1 year ago on Google
It's definitely a unique site and something to be seen at least once in a lifetime. Beautiful, clean town although very touristy. The fireworks and light show at night were the cherry on top. Do not forget to stop and visit Niagara on the lake as well!!

Seeing the falls in person had me absolutely in awe. It's more beautiful and gorgeous than you can even imagine and the force of all that water makes strong winds, totally worth going to see.

  • 5/5 Scott L. 9 months ago on Google
Don't come from super far away just to visit the falls. It's not worth a whole vacation for. But, if you happen to be anywhere nearby, make this a stop. It is impressive and one of those places you should try and see in life if you can. Visiting won't take you more than half a day. The rest of the community is one big over priced tourist trap (as you might expect). My best suggestion for a visit is: - Come see the falls from the top on the Canadian side (US side isn't worth it). - Then visit the old power station. You can do a guided tour if you like but the self guided is fine too. They have lots of signs and displays to make it easy enough to do. - As part of the power station visit, you get to go down the tunnel to the base of the falls. This is a great perspective on the falls and makes it so you get to see two cool things with one price. Station and base of the falls. The tunnel is pretty cool too. - That's about it. Like I said, it won't take a whole day. It's beautiful but it only takes so long to see a waterfall, no matter how big it is.

  • 5/5 Forest L. 9 months ago on Google
Super awesome to go see such an amazing place. Tons of crowds but lots to do. The closer you get to the middle viewing point the more crowds but it's pretty easy to find a place to hang out if you just walk around. Highly recommend going at least once.

Niagara Falls is as gorgeous as the say. The area is very commercialized, and I thought that might detract from our enjoyment, but that wasn't the case! We stayed in a room at Embassy Suites on the Canada side. It had an expansive view of all 3 Falls comprising Niagara! We did most of the falls tours on both the Canadian and American sides. Cave of the Winds was our favorite!

  • 5/5 Nazia A. 9 months ago on Google
What makes Niagara Falls so impressive is the amount of water flowing over. Most of the tallest falls in the world have very little water flowing over them. It's the combination of height and volume that makes Niagara Falls so breathtaking. the falls consists of three falls in total. The largest one is Horseshoe falls, followed by American falls and then Bridal Veils falls. Carries more then 75 gallons of water per second. Worth a visit in a lifetime

It was a great experience to be in this place…Scary while looking at the boat with the strong rapids of waters flowing from the top. Waters were also splashing towards us because it was really strong… Bridge use to pass through going Canada, it’s a border side. It’s also nice views during night time as it will change colors while waters are flowing…Cool!

What a great experience! We visited both sides of the falls. Gray Line Tours is how we did it. They took care of everything. The falls are absolutely breathtaking. They were "low" when we were there because 80% was being diverted for power stations. Can only imagine what they are like when they are only taking the 20%. We were there the weekend after Thanksgiving. It was definitely cooler but a lot less people too. Would go again!!
