Via Delizia on Broadway

Restaurant Cafe

👍👍 This morning before trying Via Delizia on Broadway way I was fooled by a highly reviewed dog Park in PSU and it fell so far short of the reviews that I had to ask locals if I had it wrong. So when deciding on where to go for breakfast I chose the very highest reviewed place to try my luck. I didn't... People often mention coffee, owner, salad, cafe, Portland,

Owner makes an incredible array of coffee-based beverages. I personally gravitate towards the chai latte, which always tastes exemplary. The scrambled eggs with sun dried tomato on ciabatta will leave you with one idea: coming back for more.

This morning before trying Via Delizia on Broadway way I was fooled by a highly reviewed dog Park in PSU and it fell so far short of the reviews that I had to ask locals if I had it wrong. So when deciding on where to go for breakfast I chose the very highest reviewed place to try my luck. I didn't expect to be impressed and I was. Even though I had trouble understanding the accent, my experience was still amazing. The atmosphere felt like everyone knew each other, the service was exceptional, the food was excellent and the care in preparation of my drink and food felt like the person making it loved what they were doing. While I enjoyed it I watched as the people came in and spoke to the person serving like they were long and old friends.

If tired during work week, do visit this cafe for a quick coffee and some breakfast/snack/lunch. The owner will provide you with their best coffee. They even go above and beyond and ask if you have any special requests outside the menu. You will find the owners very welcoming. Service is 5/5. All latte's are my all time favorite. I tried the chicken salad with spinach, lettuce and sun dried tomatoes and oh my it was so delicious. Hands down, one of the best places in Portland downtown. Note: This is located inside of AWS Elemental so its only open from Mon-Fri during business hours.

By far the best coffee we tried in all of Portland. We didn't try the pastries but the customers there said they were great. We had an Americano misto and the barista/owner Alexander/Sasha recommended a sprinkle of cinnamon and it was a great twist. Alexander was so amazing, we ended up staying 10 minutes just to talk to him... If your downtown Portland and need a java - this is the place to go!!!!

Literally had the best sandwich I’ve ever had in my life here, and the bar is high because I really love food! Absolutely delicious pork panini with a Mediterranean side salad that was also really, really good. I don’t leave many reviews and the only reason I have photos is because I sent them to my husband because I was so excited about the food😄

Probably one of the best coffees I have ever had in a long, long, LONG time. I hate acidic, sugary coffees at Starbucks and those vending machines and sometimes want a decent espresso with milk that doesn’t make me pay an arm and a half. This place and the the person who works there are honestly the best I have found. The latte is affordable, the drinks are made with passion and it’s also very quick. I’m so glad I found this because I’ll keep coming back again and again 🥰🥰🥰🥰

We have been looking for a better place for lunch after the Thursday noon concert at PSU. This little coffee shop had excellent soup, a nice crisp salad and the lamb sandwich was excellent. Compared with lunch at other places the price was reasonable as well. We were fussed over and made to feel very welcome. This can most certainly be our Thursday place.

The cafe looks like a basic coffee stall, but the food and coffee were both exemplary and the owner takes time to service each customer as if they were the only person he has seen all day. He is also hilarious and clearly takes deep pride in his culinary creations.

Walking into the building that houses this cafe tricked me in a way that made me immediately question my choice. But as we all know, we shouldn't judge books by their cover. I was greeted immediately by the gentleman behind the counter (Alex) and then left to view his menu on the column whilst he attended his current guests. I knew I was here for coffee and after a few minutes I did order a cappuccino unsweetened that was robust in all the right ways. But what truly gained my appreciation for this place was that Alex knew everyone at his cafe either eating, sipping coffee, or walking up to order by name. His hospitality and humor is that of one who is archaic and has seen it all. He treated the college students next to me like the neighbor kids down the road that he'd known all his life along with the woman at the end let's call her Sarah dressed warmly with a comfy beanie and red wisp's of hair peaking out of it, she had this intoxicating laugh that drew you near because even a blind man could see her to be one of the most gorgeous creations to walk the earth. But she was laughing because of Alex this man who reminded me of the God Father with his silver bracelet and watch his creased slacks and tucked shirt and accent that made you wonder what part of the world he was from. Now I say this, the individuals there gave praise to this man's food which I did not try unfortunately but given the hospitality alone I wouldn't need to, this place will always be now one of my favorite places to go. Thank you Alex for making the experience there phenomenal

This place is a gem. The food is delicious (salad is amazing). The coffee is very good and the foam....well it's amazing!!! We walked 10 mins each morning just to get it. We will definitely come back next time we are in Portland.

Via Delizia is the bomb! What a treasure! The coffee here is out of this world delicious. You get a super-top of foam with the lattes. The pastries and bagels are top notch artisan. The sandwiches and salads are gourmet. It doesn’t get any better than this for a breakfast and lunch cafe. Had the pork loin sandwich which the owner curated the meat himself. He also curates peppers and tomatoes for the salad toppings. Damn good! A true gem in downtown PDX.

The coffee is reeeealy good, and the owner was soooo nice!!! He always ask how the customers like their coffee and would make it the way they like. The avocado bagel was delicious!! Edit: I came back today for some soup and I was able to stay longer. Met some new friends and everyone is so nice. The atmosphere was almost like one big family. PS: The borscht was super good!!!🤤

So happy I happened upon this unassuming cafe situated on the first floor of a large office building. The best Mediterranean salad I’ve had since visiting Greece. The owner is authentic and focused on quality, which also reflects the Mediterranean. Highly recommend.

One of the best omelettes I've ever had in my life! I was at a conference nearby and went here for breakfast everyday of the conference. The latte was amazing too. Alex is a one-person show. I'm actually actively trying to find another reason to come to Portland so that I can have breakfast here again.

The coffee was out of this world. I got a mocha and my wife got a cappuccino - both were far better than I've had anywhere else in Portland. The owner is knowledgeable about coffee and food, and kind to everyone. When we went in, three of his regulars were there and within minutes I could understand why they come back again and again.

I moved in across the street this past summer and wish I’d tried this place sooner! The owner is a true gentleman and such a nice person to chat with. The food was just divine! I’m not usually a fan of salads, but I read the reviews and had to try the Mediterranean salad that came with my panini. I ate all of it and loved it! The panini was also excellent! Truly, believe the reviews, because you can’t go wrong coming here.
