Hospital Emergency room

👍👍 While in the waiting room, the nurse in diagnostic imaging asked a fellow nurse to watch 4 children, while mom and one of the kiddos went back. This act of kindness and compassion was immeasurable. They have hearts of gold and this hospital is lucky to have such incredible staff. People often mention staff, hospital, experience,

Arrived at about 9pm and waited nearly 4 hours to just walk out with my baby that was a TRIAGE CALL to seek care somewhere else. Several patients walked in and were waiting to be seen, the patient next to me had arrived an hour prior to us with a hand that was bleeding and cut open in multiple places by a saw and when we left, he still hadn’t been seen along with many others who had been waiting for 6 hours +. A cardiac patient walked in and had to use the restroom and when nurses came out to find him and heard he went to the restroom she threw her hands up in the air angry and began to speak about the patient out loud but I was too far away to know what she said exactly

My experience at the St. Elizabeth Hospital E.R. was a positive experience. Other than the wait, I received first class care. Dr.Smith and crew, top shelf.

I was greeted very kindly at the ER admitting. The nursing staff was very professional and made me feel comfortable in preparing for my procedure. Everything went very well and we even had an outstanding breakfast at the hospital cafeteria after checking out.

Positives: EKG was handled well start to finish. Without details she assured me my heart looked strong enough for my upcoming surgery. Negatives: told to check in directly downstairs. Sent back upstairs to check in. This is a recurring theme in my experience.

(ER end of life situation) Amazing staff and care provided here. I had the most dire situation and they all handled it with grace. Seriously, thank you St Elizabeth team... you mean the world to me.

i do not recommend going to this hospital at all. they are extremely disrespectful and rude not all nurses but most of them had attitudes the whole time when asked for help on things and would look annoyed. after explaining to a nurse that my dads wife of 22 years passed away just days ago and to be cautious with him i got met with a reply that “it’s not a prison i can’t keep him here” i’m not asking to tie him to a bed im asking he will be respected. when he had an issue with the bathroom and we asked for help the nurse rolled her eyes and had an attitude. then complained saying he can clean himself up and made us describe why he couldn’t numerous times. all the other rooms even when in use were kept clean expect his he had dirt and other stuff all over the floor, they would keep the garbage they had still on the counters for hours and left the food trays for days there.

Dr. Touhy and the entire St. Elizabeth GI Lab team were attentive and kind. The anesthesia experience with Skyler was so easy and I had a very rapid recovery. Nicely done everyone!

My son was born at this hospital, and i dont regret a thing. The staff were all so kind to my wife and i, and the ladies helping deliver my son were very welcoming and non-intrusive. As a first-time-parent they were also very informative and even helped me change diapers! The post-birth care is also phenominal, with the nurses and everyone going above and beyond to address your needs. Also, I had never been to a hospital with such AMENITIES before! Theres a T.V. In every room ancomfortable furniture for overnight stays but the thing that really sets them apart was the cafeteria! They have an amazing food program. When i came down to order i had noticed a lady in the back rolling FRESH biscuit dough! While Chef Joe is preparing you a tasty breakfast (i had a breakfast burrito with fresh eggs and veggies) he is an awesome guy to interact with, very friendly and welcoming. And when you need a snack in the middle of the night, theres an open commissary, with both human AND vegan options. they dont price-gouge you to death.

I was treated so kindly by each of the staff members. They were so accommodating with me and my large electric wheelchair. My thanks go out to each one of them.

I want to thank the medical personnel who treated me while I was in the ER. Josh, Dr Davidson and Dr Purdy were so kind and compassionate. We are lucky to have them in our small community.

The Dr rushed in informed us his shift didn't actually start for 25 minutes but he was gonna see us anyway. He barely examined us, I tried to give him brief details about the accident and he said I don't need to know. I am ordering you pain meds and x rays. Awhile later he came in and asked me. " you have quite a few things for pain you can take, what do you take for pain? I replied, "when I was in treatment for cancer they gave me morphine." He replied, ok. Turned and left" While we understand the pressure on the ER staff, this Dr treated us like numbers and not people who were just injured. And thank God we were not horribly hurt -- his bed side manner was cold and calus.

I spent a day in the ER and the staff were welcoming and very friendly. Everyone I came into contact with - the respiratory therapist, MD, nurses and student doc were wonderful and very helpful in discussing my condition. Strongly recommend this ER!

Overall, the experience wasn’t nearly as awful as I imagined. The staff was incredibly kind and ethical. The listening and communication was very thorough and efficient all around.

The staff were courteous and friendly. All of my requests were met in a timely fashion (extra pillow, socks, bottled water). My doctor and nurse were informative at all times. They gave me information as they received it. If I ever need to go back to the hospital, I'll choose St. Elizabeth again.

I was very satisfied with St. Elizabeth's ER. They got me right in. The nurses and doctor were nice and polite. They answered all my questions as well. They even gave me a sandwich and pudding before I left. I highly recommend this hospital.

Had to stop in from out of town. The emergency department was quick and informative, ordering all the tests to get my son into surgery. Each time someone entered the room there was great communication and care. I'm impressed! Thank you
