I am always looking for a great burger. I found this place for lunch. Friendly staff and great food to match. During COVID I try to stop in twice a month. Who every is in the kitchen, great job. I was working my way through the menu and stopped at the Slayer Burger. For me this one hits the spot. Thick cut bacon and avocado. You know the burger is great when it is dripping on the plate. Great fries as well.

The Westside Tavern is a in bar located in West Olympia. It offers a variety of food and drinks, including craft beers and cocktails. The menu features classic American pub fare with slight twists such as burgers and sandwiches. Westside will host events. The atmosphere is casual and laid-back, making it a nice spot.

We’ve heard about the food at The Westside Tavern so we dropped in for lunch on a Sunday with football on all the screens. Low key joint, even the football fans were content to watch and eat and drink. Man, you gotta try the Cubano sandwich. It is perfect, with extra pickles, which I totally support! Also the fried chicken sliders are top notch. So, yeah, get in there and have some good food, and drinks if you want. We have more to try!

Had a chance to hang out here with some friends and grab dinner the other night. Great little spot and delicious food! I got a chicken bacon ranch sandwich and it was really good! Loved the hearty, crispy chicken patty topped with plenty of bacon and creamy ranch. I’ll definitely have to come back and try more food! Also, the sweet chili Brussel sprouts are surprisingly really tasty!!

I stopped in to warm up with my little dog (also freezing - it was in the mid 20s with a fair wind). I searched Google for Dog friendly restaurant tavern or bar. The first to show was a place with Dog in the name, when I arrived the sign said no pets! Thank goodness for The Westside Tavern.

Food was decent. Atmosphere was kind of off and did not feel welcomed. One of the bartender/ waitress could not be bothered and was too busy flirting with a patron rather than tending to paying customers. Thankfully one of the other bartender/waitress picked up the slack and came out to check on us and made sure everything was good.

Service was awful. The waitess refused to give my party of 5 menus. When we sat down she told us she would provide menus when she got “caught up.” She cleared tables, wiped down the bar, chatted with people sitting at the bar…10 minutes still no menus. One person in our party went up to the bar hoping she would provide menus—again she refused to give us menus! Telling us she would give them to us when she got “caught up.” We were offended and got up to leave. She shouted at us as we were leaving and encouraged other patrons to clap and shout rude good-byes. I’ve waited tables before, i cant imagine being so rude to customers. I’d like to see her fired.

    I tried a cider I’ve never seen anywhere else in olympia. The bartender Mallory suggested it. We came here because of their fried pickle fries and were not disappointed! The service was so fast I was surprised my food was already ready and it was decently filled with other patrons. 10/10 recommend this bar- maybe because the bartender was so NICE! Love the decor too(;

Ordered fish tacos, Pavo fries, grilled chicken salad, west side nachos, & a burger. I got 2 fish tacos in my order that honestly did not taste good at all, the fish was over done and flavorless. They also forgot to add the fries on the order. The chicken was not at all “grilled” more like pan fried or microwaved. The nachos barely had any toppings on it and also had burnt chips. And the burger was also mediocre good enough to fill your hunger but not for 15$. I’m confused with all the good reviews on this restaurant. Each item was 15$ plus and there’s nothing I hate more than spending money on bad food. I’m sure the service is great in person but if u go for the food it’s not worth it specially for the price.

Pretty good bar type food. Service is nice. I really like the Boss and the Slayer burgers. The Boss is pretty messy but it's worth it . Last couple times the burger was a little over done but most of the time they do a decent job. Liked the fries as well. Definitely a place worth checking out and supporting.

Even when we sat at the last open table, we were served in a timely manner and waited on for drinks as needed regularly through our meal. My wife's water glass stayed full. They hit all my baseline points for a good restaurant plus some. Great food. Friendly atmosphere. Pool table. Clean bathrooms. Handicap access. Indoor and outdoor(when dry) seating. Personable wait staff. Solid place with well crafted meals.

For a local dive, this place is great. Dark wood, interesting beer tchotchkes on ceiling, pool table, a couple TVs but not too many. Live music, and this guy ain’t bad. Chicken fingers are good. Has a Cheers vibe if you frequent the place. I’d recommend. Much better than others in area I’ve visited.

I am sometimes hesitant to order a salad at a bar, but I must say the crispy chicken salad was 10/10. I’m not a huge mustard fan but their house made honey mustard dressing was delicious and complimented the salad perfectly. The hubby got a the slayer burger and was also very pleased. I like that they put the pickles on the side. Fries are delicious! Tried the cordon blue balls too, they’re good. Good vibes and big projector for watching sports and things. Nice outside seating area. Great beer selection. Very nice staff and quick service. Will definitely stop here again!

Had the Prime fries minus the hot sauce, and they were sooooo yummy! The amount of cheese on the fries was amazing. Great service as well. I’m not able to drink alcohol anymore but still like to hang out in bars, and they seemed to have a great selection of nonalcoholic stuff. Will definitely be back!

I used to enjoy coming here but the last few times the female bartender has been rude and unprofessional. You should pay attention to your female customers as much as your male. I was a bartender for almost a decade, my female customers almost always tipped better ;)

Excellent lunch. We had the carnitas street tacos and the Pineapple Express burger. Wow, what a burger! Pineapple, ham, ground beef, avacado, onion rings, cheese and BBQ sauce. AMmmmazing! Good fries too! If you like cider try the Schilling Blackberry Pear cider that's on tap you won't be disappointed!

I love this place! Ryan and Mallory bartenders are so great. Even when the place is packed they always come and check on you at your table and give such good service. Food is great too.

Food was great, service was terrible!! Went in yesterday to meet with some friends, i ordered and sat down, asked for a side of ranch and the blonde waitresses were obviously annoyed I asked. She let me know it was going to be .82 for ranch which is fine. I gave her my money said thank you and no response. My friend was talking to me and she eased dropped into our conversation to rudely ask if there were any complaints on our service, we were not talking about her at all and when my friend tried to respond back politely she immediately turned away and ignored us.

We come here pretty regularly with the dog; the food is very tasty, and they're always friendly and helpful. Good beer on draft, and the wings are some of the crispiest I've ever had. Highly recommend for a doggo-friendly (at least on the patio) evening location

Came here after work with my coworker and was treated very poorly by the staff. We ordered our drinks, asked for a menu and stood outside in the smoke area to decide what we wanted to eat. The whole time we were chatting outside, we got stared down by the bartender and regulars that were inside. After a few minutes, a very drunk woman came outside and asked what we were doing and why we were standing there. She yelled at us saying she works there and continued asking why we were there. My coworker said “Are we doing anything wrong?” and her response was “Do you think you’re doing something wrong?” we were confused and barely finished our drinks then left. Inside was pretty so that’s what the 1 star is for. Update: Hi, thank you for your response and concerns about my experience there. I do not remember exactly how the woman looked but she was a shorter white woman with blonde hair & a small build. Another regular from the table came out shortly after she finally left us alone and he fold us she didn’t work here, and “not to mind her because she was just drunk”. He was not problematic and we chatted for a bit. If we did come in right before close, I apologize. But it’s odd that the bartender couldn’t have just said that instead of giving us a menu. We were inside for a good 10 minutes and outside for 20 minutes AT LEAST before she started picking things up. Like, i said though, it would have been more reasonable to kindly tell us “Hey, we’re closing soon.. I’ll still put in your order but just letting you know.” instead of giving us rude looks and talking about us to the regulars. We would have either made a quick decision on what we wanted or finish our drinks and find another spot to grab food from.. My coworker and i are both closers and work in food service, so we understand just wanting to close and go home. This however, was a very unprofessional, unwelcoming and uncomfortable experience for us. The menu items actually look pretty good and i would want to give you guys a second chance, but not if things like this happen on a regular basis.

Wow, an unassuming very low key store front hides a friendly atmosphere, outstanding service and great food. The only blemish was that I ordered a cup of chili and they brought me tortilla soup...but it smelled so good that I had to keep it - and it didn'tdisappoint. Bartender recommended a cider that was perfect and the burger was cooked to perfection.

Food was okay at best. Ordered 3 of the same drink and each was very different from the last. The service was pretty much non existent. If you want something you have to go to the bar to get it. I asked several times for waters with my order and several times for boxes and had to retrieve them from bar. My drink sat empty for quite awhile before I went up to order again. For price and quality of food as well as service I wouldn't recommend. It's super packed inside and tables are on top of each other. Not the worst place but I won't be back. Just thought we'd try something new but not impressed. Back to Buzzs bar and grill for us.

It was my first time here and I was impressed. There was only one bartender for the whole place and she did a great job managing it all. Guinness was tasty and their food was really good, with large portions, which will always win me over! We will definitely return.

For this being the first "bar" I've been to in almost 20 years' it was a great experience. The atmosphere was super chill and 0 tension. The drinks were perfectly made. The burger dip and the Alaskan Fish and chips were really good. Highly recommend this place. Definitely will be coming back.

Hidden gem in west oly. Custom and unique burgers. Great drinks. Pleasant environment. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

Decent selection of beers and full bar available. We tried each of the wing types that they offered and I think if they mixed both sauces together it would work out well. The Korean wings were a little sweet and needed some heat to balance it out. Prices were about what you would expect and the service was friendly. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available and they have a parking lot in the back so you don't have to search the streets to find parking.

What a great spot.. came here randomly because the line at hash was too long and I'm so glad we did. The food is excellent. Burgers are humongous and tasty. And their bloody Marys are pretty decent. Was a great place to watch a world cup match. Felt quiet, uncrowded. Closest thing to a British pub experience I've seen in Olympia since the ballyhoo closed. Westsider burger is great.. fries were incredible.
