Pizza is pretty good. My party and I tried several different pizzas as well as the phuket it bucket and jello shots for Saint Patrick's day. Pizzas we tried: Crazy train, pepperoni Pizza, Meaty,Beaty, Big and Bouncy, and the Pride and Joy. Pizzas were hot and delicious. The drinks were nice as well. We also got an order of the brown sugar mazarella bread. That was a different taste, but really good especially when dipped in ranch. My party spent over $100.00 on this trip. The 2 for $7 jello shots for Saint Patrick's day were a fun touch. I would definitely come back to this location. Update 6/26/2023 Visited again tonight with some family friends. We had a really great server. She was super friendly, fun, and helped us make some new selections.

Generally I’ve never had an issue with take out from The Rock Wood. Today was a different story. I ordered my go-to ‘My Sharona’ calzones for me and my fiancé and it was just awful. Extremely burnt crust and lack of filling (chicken, pepperoni, ricotta, etc) inside. The children’s mac and cheese was just okay. For a bill over $50 I expected better… What’s really shocking to me is that the cook who prepared our food saw how burnt it was and just didn’t care enough to remake the order or let alone put any effort into preparing our food. Incredibly disappointed I wasted my money today. Don’t think I’ll be back.

Cool atmosphere. Pizza is barely decent but the crust is the only GOOD part. Very unseasoned, undercooked, see pics. It's overall not great. Drinks are way pricey and weak. Paid 8.50 for chips and queso, got served like 14 chips. Not coming back, probably. Waste of $80 bucks before a tip. Night out with my daughters kind of meh.

Ordered the Crazy Train pizza to-go, it was ready at the promised time so that was great! Also, the flavors are spot on if you don’t mind a little spicy flavor profiles on your pizza. You can also get adult beverages to-go.

We arrived on a Saturday and were seated immediately. Our server was prompt and attentive. I got the susie q bucket, and every drink was worth it. By the time I walked out, I was fairly buzzed. The mozzarella bread was out-of-this-world. Super-fresh and chessy. The pride and joy pizza was excellent. It was crisp and new. The toppings and crust were tasty and in the correct amount. We were filled when we left, and the prices are fair. Will undoubtedly return.

The food was good, but all the sauce for my Buffalo Chicken Wrap was in the bottom, and it was the smallest wrap I've ever seen. Beer was warm and flat, but the cider was good. Waitress kinda seemed like she was rushing us and a little put out.

Back at our favorite restaurant. The drinks are great, the customer service is amazing 👍 and of course the food was very delicious. The experience is great, the music is awesome. Very family friendly. This is our second time.

I ordered a personal pepperoni that came with a free salad and a large sweet black iced tea. The pizza was delicious and the iced tea was cold, with the perfect amount of sweet. I was totally satisfied 😋

My husband and I went for lunch here. I’m gluten-free he is not however he does eat gluten-free pizza for me if we find a good gluten-free pizza. We asked our waitress if it was good gluten-free pizza and she said yes it was. That was an incorrect statement the pizza crust is not made on site and it’s a frozen Does it taste like stale tortillas stacked together. If you are gluten-free The pizza here is not an option. The barbecue chop salad was fabulous we shared that and loved it. The wings were undercooked and the bones were broken and sticking out of them which was a turn off at first sight but also did not taste great. We ordered an appetizer a salad and a 9 inch pizza to share our pizza came out first and the hot wings and then the salad. The salad was warm when it came to the table I get it it’s sitting. Also the pizza was undercooked crust and enter not very hot when we went to eat it after we had our appetizer and salad so the timing could’ve been better on the food delivery . My husband and I don’t actually complain at restaurants we pride ourselves in complementing restaurants about the positive things because we know that restaurants get a lot of negative feedback .The reason I give this restaurant a two star is because when my husband went to pay he asked to speak to the manager just so he could let the manager know what was happening being in a position of management at his own work he feels it’s important when his employees are not working to the best of their ability and their products are subpar and attention to detail is not given . We have full intention on paying for entire meal and just letting them know areas that could be fixed and the manager graciously took off a portion of the bill which we thanked him for but did not intend and was not our reason for giving this information. Hopefully this helps someone else not have bad pizza that’s gluten-free and the restaurant changes some of their procedures and quality control.

Absolute disgusting experience. Ordered 3 pizzas, a salad, an appetizer, and 1 cookie. Didn't get the appetizer, but did get the wrong salad dressing. The pizza was abhorrent, undercooked, and made each of us sick enough to stop eating after 2 pieces. Worst dinner I've had in a while. We'll never order from here again. Owner: Don't respond with some BS "send us your issues/ call this number help us make this right". Your food was sickening, you didn't deliver a correct order, and it was a very lousy experience to dine with you.

Love the chicken strips with sweet chili sauce. A must have at each visit. The chill vibe is relaxing and the decor is cool to look at. Service is good but a little slow. I don't fault them though. You can only be as quick as the kitchen can cook.

The food was excellent. Our waitress seemed like she was upset there were 10 of us ladies, but she was in a better mood after we got our food. The place was very clean too. We will definitely go back

Edit 2/6/24: Disgusting experience here. Picked up a pizza, got home and opened the box to find a disgusting pile of slop. See the photos. I’m not picky about pizza but this is totally unacceptable. They just dumped ricotta on top of this thing, and zero care for boxing it. The entire pizza was soaking wet. I called and the front of the house manager politely handled the situation. He advised me the cook is a known problem. I hate to call out a cook, but this isn’t a mistake it’s reckless indifference to his job. Totally inedible. I requested “extra crispy” so maybe this was some retaliation for daring to make a special request - a sloppy, soaking wet pizza. I’m waiting for my refund and compensation for my gas money. This pizza is usually great albeit unusually expensive. The calamari I got was really good. Previous review: They "close the kitchen" at whatever hour they feel like. I just called at 11:38 and they told me the kitchen closes 30 minutes before close. I know this is not true because I have been going there for years and they take orders right up until close.

My wife and I decided to have an early dinner at The Rock. We eat here every now and then when we want a treat. We typically dine in the bar, as we like to have a libation with dinner. We walked in and sat down. The bar tender/ waiter was deep in conversation with a blonde at the bar. We sat for a few minutes. As I was waiting I came up to the bar to check out the beers on tap hoping that maybe that might catch his attention. It did not. We sat there for 15 minutes in an empty bar while the bar tender got his flirt on. Both my wife and I got tired of waiting for service got up and left. With 5 people in the bar/restaurant area it should have been easy for him to tell the lady he was flirting with. I have some paying customers I have to check on. @the rock wood fired pizza. do better!

Food and service are always great here, but it can be really pricey even for wood fired pizza. Our server was really nice and accommodating especially for our toddler. The nachos are amazing, 100 percent recommend, they have a great presentation. We spent almost $60 but only bought one pizza (at 35 dollars), a large the buffalo soldier.

It’s an impressive place, I like the design inside, the crews are so kind and smiling all the time. The food is really tasty and delicious, I took a chicken broccoli pasta, the portion was not bad, and the price is on the average too. Nice place to eat in.

My gf and I went to the Lacey location to celebrate National Burger Day. Yes, they're known for their pizza, but their burgers are pretty good too! I also had a birthday coupon for a free cookie skillet so why not? We started out with the Queso and Chips, the dip was delicious! We weren't that hungry so we shared an order of The Burger Man! It was cooked just right and the portion was just enough for both of us to finish and still able to have dessert. My birthday cookie skillet was the perfect ending to a great meal. Our server was great and attentive to our needs, thank you.

Uh, how have I not Known!! We went as a group, I tasted everyone's and loved them all. Service was fast enough to let us drink a beer, but not get on each other's nerves. Atmosphere was laid back, could be date night, or you could take you mom. Don't miss.

The food is always good everytime I come here. What sets the rock apart is the service. We just stopped in for a birthday dinner and angel made us feel truly special. She was attentive, kind and overall just a joy. The food is great but having people like angel here is the reason we come back.

The first couple times we ate there everything was great but the last few times was just lousy. When were spending close to a hundred bucks for two people everything should be how its supposed to be. It wasn't even palatable and what's the kitchens excuse? The place wasn't busy, it wasn't near closing time yet the food comes out opposite of how it was ordered or tasting horrible. We're too afraid to ask them to fix there mistake cause it really shouldn't have happened to begin with and who knew what would have came out next. The waitresses and bar staff are super great for sure. The kitchen needs to do something

Delicious pizza (just in case you missed it in the name its also wood fired). It had a nice savory taste. Love the originality of the pizzas. Pineapple lovers rejoice, you are not treated like a monster for wanting it on your pizza here! There are several options for you! They have hamburgers and salads as well.

I've been here several times. Food is always yummy, but the service is always so so slow. Don't come here if you're in a hurry. Otherwise, it's great. They play good music also. Try the Brown Sugar Mozz Bread, the Bat Out of Hell pizza or the Fish & Chips!

Cool atmosphere and friendly staff. We ordered a cheese pizza with jalapeno and the queso. The pizza was good but not great. The queso was surprisingly pretty good.

The place was not ready for business in my opinion. Our table was dirty, the bathroom was not clean. The waitress did not check on us mid meal to refill our drinks. It's hard to soak down a delicious pizza without a tasty beverage. The pizza and breadsticks were very good.

The only reason The Rock in Lacey, WA gets one star is because the food is great, but when the customer service/service is garbage, the taste of the food is moot. We’ve been to the Lacey branch multiple times over the last couple of years, and it’s always the same…food is great, but it takes forever to get seated (even when the place is not busy or empty), it takes 10-15 minutes for a server to even talk to you (typically it’s “Be with you in a minute” as they’re walking by), then another five minutes to get a water/drink. I understand places having staffing issues, but talk with the customer! Let them know what’s going on! How much effort does it take to get two waters/drinks?!? Some chips while we wait?!? Customer service is a dying art that The Rock is a part of. If you choose to go, it’s good food, but good luck with the service!

There portions have gone down over the years considerably! Still a great atmosphere and service but we have seen a steady decline in the overall quality of the pizza. So bad that the last pizza we ordered to go had 7 pieces of pepperoni on a large pizza! With minimal cheese.

I've ordered from here once before and really enjoyed the food. I hoped to try it again tonight; however, I was thwarted by both the staff over the phone and their non-functioning online ordering system. Their website advertises three family meal options. I was interested in #3, which includes two 12-inch pizzas, an appetizer, a dessert, and a family salad. I contacted the restaurant to place the order by phone and was greeted by a gentleman who attempted to be helpful but could not locate the option in his system. He tried for several minutes and stated he would get his manager. I could hear him talking to someone as he held the phone, and it sounded like they were discussing the situation. I attempted to speak up to clarify what was needed but did not hear a response. Then the call abruptly ended. Due to this, I attempted to place my order online via THEIR website. After using several different devices, I continued to get an "error invalidating basket" message. I still REALLY wanted to try their food again, so I called back. The same initial gentleman answered, who eventually realized it was me again. I told him my issues, to which he informed me that the manager was speaking to me and I ended the call. Which is insane, given I'm desperately trying to order their food. He then went on to tell me that they cannot place the order for the family meal over the phone, yet their website also doesn't work. Overall, it was a poor customer service experience. If there is no way to order the family meal, please do not advertise it. It was a frustrating attempt at securing an NYE meal. While I enjoyed the food the first time, this experience will dissuade me from returning.
