Stopped by here for dinner with a large group on a rainy Tuesday in Olympia. They have an amazing list of cocktails and we ordered a bunch of them everything was delicious. Their wine selection is great and we tried a few reds and loved it all. The food here was also very nice. We ordered a lot of appetizers - stuffed mushroom, the flatbreads and the brisket. It all tasted fresh and flavorful. Cute place overlooking the sound and I am sure it looks even more gorgeous on a sunny day. Will recommend this place in Olympia.

This is now a new favorite place of mine in Olympia! Wow! I was very impressed with Swing. First. It's a very small venue, you will need reservations. It is the most romantic restaurant I've been to so far in oly, great place for a date night. The food and the service were next level. I LOVE Cesar Salad and it's actually really difficult/ rare to find the dressing truly in point as a true Cesar... their Cesar Salad was the best I've had in oly so far! Loved it! The dates, goat cheese, nuts and bacon appetizer is a MUST TRY! It was executed perfectly. Another must try... the wine flights! All 3 wines in the Sweater Weather flight were fantastic and now on my list to purchase. Can't say enough good things about this restaurant. I will absolutely be returning to this restaurant and I can't wait! I would highly recommend to others to try!

I stumbled across this place on my way to Octapas and I’m glad I came back. I was able to book a last minute reservation for a patio table just before sunset. The service was great, the atmosphere was incredible, and the food was delicious. I had some specialty cocktails that were very well done and the overall atmosphere made me want to stay until closing. The local caught steelhead was cooked to perfection and paired well with its accompaniments. This is one of my new local favorites.

Cozy restaurant with a great atmosphere. Indoor and covered outdoor seating with soft music for a nice ambiance. Perfect for couples with views overlooking Capitol Lake. Many great appetizers to choose from including bacon wrapped dates. Worth multiple visits to try everything on the menu.

What a great find. We just moved here and my husband found this restaurant on google maps and we had such a lovely evening. The service was the best! The food was delicious and the views were wonderful. I can’t wait to go back!

Swing is beyond a 5-star review! The food is always perfect and the drinks are superb! You will not find more caring or attentive staff. We love coming with our friends and spending about 3 hours enjoying every course. It feels as if you are sitting around your table at home. They always cater to my food allergies and go above and beyond! If you are looking for a wonderful experience with excellent food and topnotch drinks, check out Swing! You will not be disappointed!

I ordered the rack of lamb with rice pilaf and asparagus and it was wonderful. The lamb was perfectly cooked with beautiful charring and a pink center. The staff was friendly and attentive which only added to the pleasant atmosphere provided by the cool breeze and view of Capitol Lake. Glad to have found a new go to restaurant near home, highly recommended.

Beautiful little spot with a gorgeous view over Capitol Lake. The food and drinks are always delicious, and the ambiance is comfortable and relaxed. They always have lovely music playing and knowledgeable staff. I highly recommend this place for a nice meal in town.

Located on a hillside overlooking the Capitol Lake, this romantic wine bar and restaurant is a fantastic spot for a date night. They offer various curated flights, a wide assortment of seasonal and traditional cocktails, and top notch fair to match. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. There is a lovely outdoor patio area for the warmer season. A real gem a couple blocks from the Olympia Waterfront.

We had an absolutely amazing time here!! The atmosphere is perfect, incredible wine (try Château Dumas Cenot😊), and the most delicious dinner!! I had the slow-roasted beef brisket. My fiancée had the duck and loved it! 🤤 We can't wait to come back! I'd give them a thousand stars if possible. A must visit. Oh yes, the view of capitol lake is just stunning 😍 👌 🙌 ✨️. What a wonderful place to go with friends, intimate family event or for date night! We had a splendid view and outstanding waitor, Brian. The food was fresh and great flavors. We enjoyed the variety of cocktails and wine. The chocolate fondue is a creative twist on dessert. The patio view is worth it all! We will be back soon!

Honestly was a great experience. We were seated immediately (had reservations) we asked about moving if seating was available (don’t want to impose) literally they came back 20 min later and offered us preferred seating so they tracked this, that was surprising! But it gave us a great outdoor nook with beautiful scenery and there was no mix up or anything after moving seating! It was perfect for a date night with my wife! The service was great, everyone was so friendly and it was just great feel. My wife got the NY, med-rare. Turned out a little underdone but was still really good! The potatoes were amazing! I got the “swing burger” let me tell you!… this was a great burger! I’m a burger snob, and I typically do t care much for artsy burgers, BUT THIS WAS THE BEST BURGER EVER!!. It was great! The prices were very fare, probably underpriced a tad, but you got more than you paid for! We loved it, fall color views, great wine and food and atmosphere. Would 100% come here often!

This is a nice place to enjoy a cocktail or wine flights but the food is overpriced for the quality. Ordered several entrees and all were mediocre. They could improve with more attention to the details. For a $19 hummus plate they didn’t even warm the bread. Just took it out of a bag, cut and put it on a plate with a few vegetables. Very underwhelmed.

I stumbled across this place on my way to Seattle and I couldn’t be more than satisfied! The service was great, the atmosphere was incredible, and the food was beyond delicious. My friend and I had some specialty cocktails that were very well done and the overall atmosphere made us want to stay until closing. Lamb ribs were cooked to perfection and paired well with its accompaniments. Outstanding! Definitely visiting this place again on my next trip adventure! Currently visiting from Atlanta!

The food was delicious, the drinks were great. The service was excellent. Went there on a summer evening and dined outside overlooking the lake and the inlet. It was a beautiful and enjoyable atmosphere with music playing softly on the outdoor speakers.

AMAZING for events! Super military friendly. 11/10 Swing is an elevated and intimate wine bar with phenomenal food. We love the cozy atmosphere of Swing, booths have fluffy throw pillows and unique lighting for each table feels very intimate. Our event was in the newly refurbished wine cellar, a private room in the basement. We were able to choose the room layout along with our food options. Sophisticated fireplaces, vintage decor, and low ceilings really gave our event the elevated yet personal touch we were looking for. Our group was out of country and had trouble with service, leading to our reservation not being confirmed like we thought it was. When I called with some questions (about a week out) the manager, Stephen, was very understanding and made sure we had the amount of food and space we needed, even with limited notice. He drew up a great list of recommendations for our menu and was very specific in making sure we had everything we needed. On the day of our event, we had far fewer people than we anticipated but Swing adjusted gracefully. Our waitstaff was extremely courteous and made sure to ask about the bill and schedule with me privately. Because we were hosting guests, this is something I greatly appreciated. 11/10 this will definitely be our new go-to spot to host functions.

Swing is a wonderful atmosphere for a date night. The atmosphere to the fun drinks, highlight a calm place to spend a few hours talking with someone. Most of the food is shared and is fun to eat with others. Sure wished they learned how to give oysters in even pairs though.

My meal wasn’t terrible by any means. It was just that, for a place with as high of a price tag, I expected something unique and/or better that what I can cook at home. I ordered the salmon and nothing really stood out about the dish, and the portion sizes were nothing to write home about either. The service was decent.

I love this place and the food is absolutely exquisite. You have to order your food the way you want it. Everything has a dairy free option for example, but you have to request it that way. Just putting that out there. The staff is excellent. Restrooms are small and limited but everything is very cozy and comfortable.

They've done a beautiful job with the outdoor patio. Great cocktails.

I am hesitant to leave a review because I want to keep this place all to myself! But, I have to leave an honest five stars because they deserve it. The cocktails, wine flights and small plates are creative, wonderful and fairly priced - perfect for happy hour, but the entrees and desserts are real show-stoppers as well. Between terrific views and a cozy ambiance, this is a perfect spot for a visit with old friends or a date, and the menu will make you want to linger and enjoy a full suite of offerings. I hope they decide to do a brunch!
