Used to be amazing service for regulars who stopped in for lunch. Wasn't there much for dinners as I was closer to home at that time of day. Over the last 6 months I would only stop in when I see the parking lot is empty due to service being so unreliable. I have sat there talking about projects with Co workers and we were never asked about getting water or food for 45min to an hour(on 3 seperate occasions this happened). I get that they are busier now with the remodel and I'm glad for them. But if you're not in their 'good ol boy' crowd, you're not getting served (no matter who is working) if you're sitting at a table. Noticed that some servers are pretty good about ignoring certain people who don't look the same as a lot of the regulars. I will not be back after stopping in here for many years. Comments and topics of discussion between staff and patrons lead me to believe this is not a safe place for LGBTQ+ customers who might be there alone after dark. Food is hit n miss. Sometimes it's really on point. Sometimes it's a real let down. I will miss their fish taco Friday special. It was the #1 reason I stopped in. Not any more.

THIEVES!!! Came in for breakfast. Only 5 items or so on the menu which makes things easy. Clean environment and bathrooms. Drinks were good. We ordered breakfast and after waiting almost an hour had to leave. Without breakfast. We were CHARGED for breakfast and had to pay for 3 meals that never arrived. Never again will we darken the door of this place!!

absolute trash off the side of the road! First time here after a long day at week and a bartender named Heather served everyone in my group except me. A few minutes later I overheard her saying to another employee she thought I was someone else? Kept calling me a name I don’t recognize, and would’ve known better if she checked my ID. Customer service and regulation is a skill not everyone seems to have apparently. If I was a manager on duty, owner, etc. I’d be absolutely livid to hire young women with such a petty work ethic- or I suppose lack of one. For a spot that’s supposed to be a fun local hang, how disappointing to know local bar tenders pick and choose who they serve and provide a quality experience to- based off of inaccurate information as well? Spread the word, service is terrible here.

All around great stop for a post-hike burger. Really friendly service, tasty burgers, and amazing waffle fries! The beer selection didn’t go beyond the usual suspects but we were all able to find something we liked - Bode, Mac + Jacks, Hefe, etc. The “pudding shots” were a surprise hit - basically whipped cream with vanilla vodka, Baileys, and chocolate chips. Yummy! Relaxed sports bar atmosphere with lots of tables. Appreciated that the A/C was reasonable and not cranked up super high. Recommend!

Very nice clean & well maintained cozy bar! Ultra clean..just had lunch which I must say it was yummy! Service was #1!

Basic but good bar food. Decent cod and chips with malt vinegar if you ask. Very friendly, but busy waitresses at dinner time. Will eat there again. AC would be a bonus during this heat wave.

This bar has done some renovations in recent years! It looks great inside. It has your standard bar menu, the food was good. The service was great. And the drinks were good. It was packed when I first got there. It seems to be a very popular spot.

We had a meatball sub sandwich with fries. Seemed like it was mostly bread, so won't order that again. It was a Wednesday so we got to play bingo for free. The prizes were brats, bacon and steaks. All from a local butcher. What a nice thing to do for customers. They also have karaoke on certain nights. Lots of regulars at this place.

Wow! Before Covid we ate lunch here regularly. Was really looking for a comeback and had the chance to eat here twice before the sale to new owners. Now? Not so much. Pros: Refresh/remodel is nice, but who cares? Everything was really worn before but it was clean. They've left some "character." Staff was always friendly and the food came fast. They seem to really care that many people had a fixed lunch hour. Now they are still very nice and cheerful and fast enough. So little change there. Cons: Captain's platter was our go to lunch for $10.00 before Covid, $10.50 post Covid. Now it's $15.00. Okay, they have to pay for the "refresh" with a massive increase...and this price is in line with other establishments. But then came the meal! The flavors were spot on. Same cook?!! But the amounts were, maybe, 15% to 20% less, especially the fries. I guess we'll stay closer to home, try to find some other place we liked as well as the old Character's Corner, eat out even less...thanks, new owners

Been coming here since I was 11 but that's a whole other story. The fried chicken is the best. Good fun with the regulars. Classic tavern at it's best. New owners took it over recently and remodeled. I'm usually not a fan of remodeling any classic bar, but this is an exception to the rule. The new folks did a great job. Added about 26 pull tab bowls, repurposed the old shuffle board that has been there for ever.

New owners and a super nice remodel. Always enjoy characters, low key bar, never any trouble and food is the normal food found in a bar and they do a good job preparing the food.

Good burger and excellent gizzards! Be sure to check out the decor in the restrooms!

Nice place and convenient location. Food was ok, but there no soup on Sunday and the menu is a bit limited.

much improved from the bar it was for years. good service but food was only mediocre at best. they give a good pour. was over charged $15 and did not realize until drive home. Not sure i will go back

It's a neat place right off the 101 hiway. It's a tavern, with lots of neon and a pool table.

Great atmosphere. Good beer selection. TV's & Football. All good! & the wife loved her oysters... :0/

Had halibut sandwich and tots. Halibut was awesome. Tots tasted burnt and kinda like everything cooked in the oil that day. Suggestion: cook taters in different oil.

I went there for the Super Bowl there was maybe eight people in the bar when I got there it took the bartender more than 20 minutes to even acknowledge that we were there I would have never gotten waited on if I didn't go to the bar and I ordered jalapeno poppers which were so tough we couldn't even chew them the service was absolutely the worst service I've had since I've been in Washington

This place looks Amazing now!! The new KJ Music Man with Twilight Karaoke 🎤 is alot of FUN. The waitresses are very attentive and very friendly.

Service is lacking. They don't put enough folks on shift. Waiting for a cocktail or pull tabs is revenue lost! They have cleaned it up, but if you sit waiting, what does it matter? 2nd try, lesson learned. We won't be back.

Haven't been in since the remodel and it looks amazing. They were pretty but the staff kept smiling and taking great care of the guest. Looking forward to going back

New management. Being remodeled. Great service. Menu many choices. Prices reasonable. Definetly a place you want to stop for a refreshment/food. Highly recommemd

Limited menu good drinks local Friendly group of people in there shuffleboard and pool tables construction going on around it right now so little bit iffy finding parking if they're Uber busy it's not exorbitantly overpriced but like I said limited menu Staples stuff good drink selection know anything and that's reasonably priced too
