We brought in a group of 20 people to sing karaoke. Some of us used to love going to Sampan together 20 years ago. We were pretty much the only group. The DJ put on what he called "dance music" and left us hanging for 30 minutes. I only come back to WA once every so often - and this guy really disappointed us.

Gross, dirty, and tacky establishment, and despite being open and serving food, almost none of the menu items were available. The owner was cold and abrasive, and didn't care that we had driven 20 minutes to get there. The place smelled bad, and someone was karaoke singing obscenity laced rap music as the owner told us only a few fried food options were available. So yeah, hard pass, and will not be returning.

The bartender is the best. The food is good. The people are friendly. The atmosphere is peaceful.

I dunno if I wanna go back. The bartender made the drinks super super strong and there were two guys in the back joking about roofieing one of us (my sister, mutual friend, and I).

Sometimes you wanna go.......where everybody knows your name......theres regulars....like....... live in the house behind the place regulars. Friendly enough. Karaoke if your game... Buzz's tavern is a much better option though. I wont go back unless a good friend begs me.

Who puts lettuce on a California roll?! The sushi was nasty, we won’t be ordering from here again.

Nice place to chill. Classic dive bar (being complimentary) I didn't try the food so I can't give a review about that. Staff was friendly.

You can sing karaoke, if you request, but the sound system is not there for the soul purpose of karaoke. The staff, and clientele were nice enough.

Our favorite go to place for a good time. Food was tasty and drinks were nice. Very cool atmosphere. This is an older bar and the patrons are friendly. Hostess is an absolute treat

DJ/KJJoy is worth coming back for every Wednesday and Thursday. The regular kJ trained her well. With tonight being her first night as KJ, I was pleasantly surprised. I had the best time, especially considering I was going to a bar by myself for the first time in decades.. Karaoke by myself too and I felt awesome.

When I walk in I always get a great smile & a wonderful GREAT greeting. Drinks are on the spot. Music is played by all so we all enjoy. Great place to hang out in mornings.

Great casual bar to go to. Serves sushi and teriyaki items with the normal bar beverages. Very comfortable and open area to sit. Owner is really nice and usually makes the food. Seahawks fans gather to watch usually on the big screen projector. If you just want to chill thus is the place.

I always end up coming after the kitchen is close but I do love drinking here owner is sooo sweet like a mama

Wow... The only word that comes to mind is trainwreck. I mean, the staff was absolutely great. Friendly, courteous, and there were zero problems getting service or drinks. I've been in my fair share of dive bars, a lot of them really worth going back and some not. I'm not too sure if I'd put this in the first category, but I guess everyone needs a sketchy/weird-vibe place to hang out at. I'm gonna have to give this place a hard pass. No offense.

Cool place but a little loud due to the size. Better sushi than some dedicated sushi resteraunts I've been to.

They have Karaoke everyday and the crowd is chill. Pool tables and dance floor. Cool bartenders. They've been open forever too so, solid place.

The new bartender that works part time "she old and has the white hair" she really needs to lighten up..she can't take jokes very well.

Don't get distracted w/ The "Atmosphere" You might miss out on Something GREAT 💚 just stoked places like this are still Around

I have come here many nights and it is lots of fun with the dance floor and people. I didn't eat but drinks are good

Not at all what I expected for a restaurant. There was 1 large room with a couple of pool tables. I went for the karaoke but was the only person who showed up. Cooks night off I was told so very limited as to what I could order. The bartender was also the person cooking my dinner. I ended up getting Bento box #1 which was Teryaki chicken, gyoza, egg roll, salad and steamed rice. It was alright. The texture of the chicken made me feel it wasn't quite cooked completely. But the egg roll was awesome. Perfect crispiness. I'd go back for the egg roll!

It was my 50th birthday and let me just say that the bartender totally rocks!! Great place and great people.thanks again

This place is terrible! Never been in there, but live across the street After bar closes they allow their very drunk patrons to hang out in the parking lot. Fights! Screaming! Bumping their stereos! Racing! They should not allow people to loiter!

We have only been here twice but for sure our new favorite spot .....we felt super welcomed and the bartenders are really nice......the DJ plays all kinds of music and she has a beautiful voice......if I could give more then five stars I would

Always a fun time at the Sampan, Pinkie is the best DJ. Drinks are always done right, the patrons lively and always positive. The smoking area is ideal for small groups to chat and enjoy yourself. Pool and a dance floor bring this establishment its magic. If you're in Lacey Sampan is the recommended spot to be.
