Food was good. Staff was nice. What left a bad taste in my mouth was when the waitress came over with her little card reader insisting we pay while we were clearly all still eating. Found that rude. Probably won't go back.

Great little sushi spot. The staff was friendly and the rolls were super tasty. We will for sure be going back for more!

We love this place. Fresh fish, great service and easy to get to. Double D, Baja California,, Rainbow and Volcano rolls are our favorites. We tried the Mango California tonight ... a nice sweet/savory option.

We ordered 4 different rolls, along with beef fried rice, fried pork gyoza, edamame, and miso soup. All of the food was delicious! The sushi was fresh, the gyoza was extra crispy, the dillinger sauce was flavorful. The salad, has a cream dressing that is not a ginger based dressing. The beef was tender and the fried rice had a mix of lima beans, peas, carrots, and green beans. Overall delicious meal.

We ordered from here through Door Dash so don't have any details on the service or atmosphere but our food was amazing! We ordered the spider roll, alaska roll, Texas roll and a chefs special nigirie. It was all fresh tasting, beautiful presentation even as a take out order. It was a great treat to be able to do this from home and still have a restaurant worthy food experience. I would totally order from here again and look forward to checking out their location.

This one feels like an upgraded teriyaki eatery. Not to the level of a good Japanese restaurant. First of all, food wasn’t bad. The bento box was decent. The bibimbap was ok too. But the miso soup was a joke. We’ve never seen so plain miso soup. It was basically hot water with a bit miso. No tofu, no green onions. Well, to be fair, it was free. So you get what you pay for 😳. We did not understand why they had chairs stacked on top of the counter. It feels like a part of the restaurant was out of business. We arrived around 5pm for early dinner. They were not busy. But the service definitely lacked the traditional Japanese spirit. It was not courteous. And they serviced us the bill far before we finished our meal. It didn’t make us feel good.

Very friendly wait staff and high quality sushi. I absolutely love the wide variety of sushi that they offer. They have a very detailed menu so that those who are new to sushi understand what they are ordering. They always offer a cup of miso soup while you are waiting for your meal. The sushi is always fresh and beautifully placed with wasabi and ginger on the side for flavor. If you want the full experience I would highly recommend ordering the chefs choice. It's a surprise variety. These pictures were also taken after I had traded my friend two of our sushi pieces so it doesnt look as pretty as it did when I first received the plate. If you love sushi or are new to sushi I definitely recommend coming here for an all around delightful meal. They also offer a wide variety of non sushi cuisine. I have had several other non sushi dishes there and am constantly pleased with the quality of the food. Definitely recommend 100%.

All of sushi is good especially tuna roll. The fried ones are so so, not my fav. The satay is also full of sauce but it is not tasty.

Sushi tasted very good and fresh. A warning though to those ordering over the phone or online, definitely make sure you double check the prices of things as you order. I ordered a few rolls and had specifically checked the prices beforehand, but when I went to pick it up in store it was way more than what I had added up. I should have asked why haha, but instead I just paid for it. Whether or not it was my mistake for not reading the menu correctly, or if they have different prices around dinner then lunch, learn from me and double check the price beforehand 👍

Each time I have come the food is gorgeously plated, the sushi presented as a beautiful collage of colors, each piece delicately crafted and placed with precision. Each roll a balance of sweet and savory, crunchy and tender. On one occasion, in lieu of a birthday cake, I ordered mango sushi as desert and was bestowed a candle. The atmosphere is amazing, and the staff and chef are incredibly friendly and attentive. Highly recommend eating here!

I normally have good experience at Kiobito restaurants and in the past had good experiences here. However, this last time I ate there, things weren't the same and I was bummed. Went to lunch on a Sunday, restaurant was at about 25% capacity with only 4 employees working Food took an hour to get to us after ordering. Quality if the food has sadly tanked since my last dining experience there some years back. The sushi rice didn't have any vinegar and was a strange sticky consistency, not in the good way. Did not feel well after eating. Big bummer as the menu prices have gone up and the food quality and service has gone down. Hopefully things improve.

The staff was very friendly and attentive. I was even given a complimentary bowl of miso soup as it was my first time in. Conversation with my waitress was enjoyable. As for my roll, I ordered the Double D. The fish tasted fresh. The portion seems to be a little smaller than past posts, but that is understandable considering the rising cost of goods and this restaurants ability to maintain their good prices. I will definitely be back the next time I am working in this area and refer them to my friends and family.

Great sushi and great service. Lots a great rolls to choose from. There weren't any that we didn't like! We've done take out and we've eaten in a couple of times lately. Good social distancing. We'll be back soon!

My new favorite sushi place in Olympia! I went with my family and no one was disappointed with any aspect of their food. My mom has celiacs disease, and our server kindly worked with her to find some food she could eat, which is more than can be said of a lot of other restaurants. The salmon was really good and soft on our volcano roll, and the tonkatsu I got was quite nice. Not too expensive for a sushi place either. The atmosphere was clean and inviting with some nice decor, though it didn't particularly wow me, not that that's really necessary. If you're looking for a good sit down place (or takeout- I saw a few people doing takeout), I'd recommend here. will be returning again for sure.

The service and food are fantastic. My son and I had the western and mango roll. Both were delicious. The restaurant seems to be separate into sections making it easy to keep a group together. Many kid friendly options.

There's nothing fancy about the Koibito Restaurant on West Side Olympia's Harrison Avenue. The place is small but very clean and service is prompt and friendly. The sushi menu is extensive, although I don't know how authentic some items are. Koibito offers Caterpillar and Dragon rolls, as well as deep fried rolls and tempura ice cream: I'm not certain you could find those on any menu in Japan. Sushi is no longer the exotic snack it was here in the Pacific Northwest a few years back. Like every other US restaurant, in the post-pandemic era, Koibito has raised its prices. It has, at the same time, expanded the menu to include more noodles, soups, and other treats. Despite the prices, the quality is high and my favorite sushi still calls me in on a regular basis.

In town on vacation. This is a gem. Today was our second time going. Best place in West Oly for a nice bite. Service is great. Food is amazing. Highly recommend.

Food was decent. Rolls came out fast. Was expecting donburi to be a little better, tasted like an overcooked omelet over rice.

Just divine. My mom loved it, too. Thanks for the kindness and amazing food, Koibito. The only other place I'll go for sushi in town is Sushi Train, but this is my old favorite (and Koibito has the best tea, in my opinion). <3
