Pro Tip: Order for pick up if possible. The best experience will be dining in, be prepared for a long wait, it will be worth it. Check the menu before arriving and be prepared to order to expedite the service. While on a road trip we stopped for breakfast at this innovative and wonderful cafe. The reviews are great and with good reason, but the vibe is much better than the reviewers can describe. Awesome atmosphere with local art adorning the walls, a festive and creative environment where staff is upbeat and friendly. And that’s just the beginning, the food was outstanding, with plenty of vegetarian options sure to please even the most carnivorous appetite and maybe even covert you to a veggie eating lover, is that good. However, protein options are available to satisfy every palette. The place is small, with tables accommodating probably no more than 6 people. Although cozy, not for very large parties. One visit isn’t enough as there is so much good food to choose from.

01/25/2024: Popped in for breakfast around 1030a-ish for 3 of us. Cute, cozy spot. We waited for about 20 minutes for a table. The space seats about 20 people. Friendly staff. We ordered blackberry french toast, biscuit and gravy, Forest omelette, and Big A Classic breakfast. Love the hash browns although a bit oily, I love the crispy parts. The sausage gravy is delicious! Very savory, loved the cumin. Biscuit was okay, a bit on the dense side. Omelette was perfect, egg was soft and fluffy. Love the fruit cup! Apple, orange, blueberry, strawberry, kiwi!

Glad they’re checking vaccines before indoor dining. But this place is over-rated. Did not live up to the hype. One good thing, the jam was tasty. Everything else was just okay. After ordering, I waited 20 minutes for a “bottomless“ cup of coffee and never got a refill. They didn’t bring creamer until I asked for it again. $3+ for one 6 oz coffee is a rip off. My hash browns were very greasy and not crispy as I’d requested. Food wasn’t very hot. “Homemade” sausage was bland. I really don’t see what others find so great. Not worth any wait, though we only waited 15 minutes for a table. It’s nice that they offer food to those who can’t afford to pay for it.

I ordered the chèvre omelet. Definitely get it. It was incredible. The rye toast was perfectly buttered and delicious. The rosemary garlic home fries tasted like it was fried in old oil. The service is amazing. Had a very attentive server at our table.

The food was delicious. We ordered 2 beast modes, one with added bacon, a Carly (with Gouda because 86 Feta, and an Amsterdam with sausage along with a side of fried tyme tomatoes. The housemade sausage was phenomenal and I highly recommend it. The thyme tomatoes were mediocre, not crispy, more like soggy and half cooked. We will be back.

Very tight space with a witty menu, and long wait times. I attempted to walk in here after exploring downtown for a morning. You are probably better off ordering pick up ahead of time. The number of tables is minimal and are close enough to each other that you will be dining with others who you weren't expecting to share a meal with. When waiting for a table your only option is to wait outside. The food however was plentiful and tasted fresh. The host was accommodating when we asked for our food to go, but ended up sitting at an open table after several parties didn't show or left the waiting queue. There are some interesting posters and things hung up on the wall to read, but not everyone will agree with what is posted. Overall my experience was fine, but I probably wouldn't eat here again since it isn't the breakfast vibe that I typically go for.

The food was just ok. We ordered the benedict with hashbrowns and an omlette with rosemary garlic fries (btw not traditional fries, they're just regular chopped potatoes). The food didn't have a lot of flavor and the hashbrowns were overcooked. Customer service was good but the aesthetic of the restaurant is very poor. Price was a little high for the quality of food.

Great place to eat for several different types of diets - our group included a keto and a vegan. Plenty of options for everyone! I chose the “Sandy Benedict” which comes with fresh spinach and sautéed veggies instead of an English muffin (yep, I’m the keto one, lol) and for my side I chose the “Fried Thyme Tomatoes”. The hollandaise sauce was perfect, it’s the best I’ve ever eaten! The vegetables were cooked just right and the eggs so yummy! Everyone in our group raves about their food and we definitely plan to come back again! The staff are super friendly and the atmosphere is mega chill - every once in a while we could hear them singing to the songs that were playing while they worked, so awesome! It is like hanging out at a friend’s place while they prepare your meal! Highly recommend ordering takeout if you don’t have time to wait 20 minutes or so for a table. The place is small, I think it only had enough room inside for about 20 people max. The vibe inside is worth the wait though if you’re not in a hurry!

The food was delicious, plenty of vegan and gluten-free options. The staff working there were kind and friendly, it was a very enjoyable dining experience. It helps to get there early and miss the rush if you want to dine in.

The food was delicious and there is lots of vegan and vegetarian options. We had the the biscuits and mushroom gravy. And the western omelet with ham, mushrooms, caramelized onion, broccoli and cheese. Very good food. The vibe is super chill too. Small place and sometimes a long line to get in but so worth it.

Terrible service and unjustifiable wait. We stopped there for breakfast on our way to Port Angeles. There were 4 tables takes when we arrived. We placed our order within 5 minutes of arrival. 3 other tables (6 people) were seated after us. After 40 minutes of waiting, we noticed that everyone but us had received their food. I asked the wait staff to check on our order, and they told me that it will be out shortly. It was frustrating, since the table next to us got seated 5 minutes after us and had their food within 10 minutes. 5 minutes later and with no progress, I told the wait staff that I would like our food to go as at that point we started to run late to a meeting. We paid the bill and waited another 5 minutes for our food. The worst part was that the wait stuff gave us attitude as we were trying to leave and never once apologized for the delays. They clearly either forgot about our order or it was intentionally not placed. This was unacceptable. It does not take 50 minutes to make 2 breakfast plates when the restaurant is not even busy. Lastly, as we tried to eat our food in the car, we noticed that the food was packed very carelessly and the eggs were over cooked.

Absolutely DELICIOUS vegan breakfast! The smoked tempeh is to die for. The toast, herbed tofu, and hash browns are perfect together. Amazing job by the chefs. This meal made my work day so much better. I highly recommend this place if you want to enjoy vegan cafe food. ❤️

Finally a pancake that reflects my spirituality. Get here early and you shouldn't have trouble getting a seat. That being said, indoor seating is limited. Loved it.

They check vaccine cards for dine in, take out just needs a mask. I had biscuits & sausage gravy with rosemary roasted potatoes. My friend was able to accommodate food allergies and enjoyed her food as well. My food was great, wait staff super friendly, and very attentive. Small dining area, but no rush while eating. Will definitely be going back.

Little hole in the wall with only a few tables. It was quiet and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The decor I did not care for, especially the political statements. Business should be politically neutral and catheter to all, despite their believes of affiliations. Restaurants are about hospitality and shouldn't make some feel welcome and other not. I personally don't rake sides, but I felt a bit out of place because the political statements made me feel as if Antifa will walk in any moment and start trashing everything. It was an uneasy feel. Other than that, it was a nice place to eat at.

The food here was very hearty. The place was very small and tight, I would recommend ordering ahead of time(or calling to book your spot for dining it) and picking it up because there can be long wait line since they cannot accommodate people due to small space. The food I thought was a bit oily but it was yummy. We ordered veggie delight, Little A, fried egg sandwich, Pancake's and hot chocolate. The food amount was not really huge it was decent. It seemed like “THE” spot for breakfast. Would recommend going here at least once.

Coming here for breakfast is always a treat. The food here is wholesome and locally sourced and always delicious. The coffee is fresh and great. The table service is complete and on task, willing to meet your every need. Atmosphere is strictly Olympia, funky and down home. That’s what I’m talking about!

This was my first and likely last visit to New Moon Cooperative. Service was much too slow for me. Just over 45 minutes to get eggs, potatoes, bacon and toast. There were a few other patrons at the same time but the wait seemed excessive to me. As for the ambiance it felt quite cluttered and I was able to peak into the kitchen from my seat and I gotta say their tiny kitchen seemed outdated, cluttered and not very clean. I like that they offer vegan and gluten free selections.

Great breakfast spot. Quaint little nook with friendly service. Hash browns done just right and coffee served piping hot with a smile! 😁

It’s a vegan friendly place with plenty of options. I ordered the tofu chilaquiles and Gilman st burrito and both were amazing. I liked how the meal didn’t leave me feeling extremely full. The wait time however was quite a lot. We used the scribble pads to pass time. Overall a decent experience.

We really enjoyed our breakfast from this hole in the wall Cafe. The food was delicious and in generous portions. They also give free meals to those who can't afford them and we actually watched them do this while waiting for our order. The only dislike I have is there is very limited seating, but we just got our food to go, and you have to wait outside so I can see that being a concern in the rain. But we would definitely go back. The server was very calm and friendly and kept us updated on our food/ wait status.

First off, food was wonderful as well as the service. This place also has a pay it forward program called the "hook it up" in which you can donate a few dollars towards a meal to someone who might be in need. They also offer free coffee and soda to those in need who come in. It's so nice to see a business that cares so much about their community! Very reasonable prices as well. I will definitely be back!

This place is so wonderful, service is great for such a small place , yet staff are a great part of the community. The food is good, and they really care about people , even they that are down on their luck... The heart and soul of Olympia ...

Charming little cafe with a variety of options to accommodate many dietary restrictions. The gluten free french toast was fabulous, and you can't go wrong with any of their benedicts. Hashbrowns were a bit overcooked, the poached eggs could have used another 2 minutes, and they were sold out of breakfast sausage, but that was probably due to the fact that they were one of the few places open on July 4th and were pretty busy. We're looking forward to trying their waffles and pancakes next time.

Had one of the best eggs Benedict's I have ever had. The chai is incredible. Very nice and knowledgeable servers. Lots of gluten free options.

My absolute favorite place for breakfast in Olympia. I have never tried anything there that I didn’t enjoy. They also have plenty of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options, which is wonderful as a person with celiacs. If you’re a pancake person, I HIGHLY recommend their gluten free vegan pancakes. They are better than any normal pancakes I’ve ever had in my entire life, and my hard to impress partner thinks so as well. I also love that they are still requiring proof of vaccination & masks. I respect that their business is considerate of ALL people in their community.
