Update Dec.. 2022: we had dinner for lunch. Last time was just average lunches. Today was great. Excellent service, (Ana) was very professional and attractive to details. My friend order Tacos carnitas, super flavor, delicious tacos. I had the Mariscada, full of shrimp, mushrooms and white fish, served over rice This was much better than the last time. We will return to try other meals.

We stopped at the Mayan Family restaurant in Lacey, WA as we were hungry and tired driving back back from Portland. The service was great and the food was delicious! Very friendly & fast service staff and beautiful restaurant decor. It felt like we stepped into some town in Mexico for real. I highly recommend this place. I will stop there from now on when I'm on my way back from Portland to Seattle.

One of my favorite places to eat. Excellent service and food. It is open and airy inside. Kids menu is a great price. It's always impeccably clean, inside and out.

My favorite Mexican place in Lacey! Locally owned, excellent service and a large menu. My favorite is the macho Cadillac margarita with enchiladas.

I love a good Mexican restaurant and this one didn’t disappoint. Good menu, huge portions and good service. Chicken Tacos - were stuffed with juicy chicken, lettuce, tomatoes and cheese. It came with the usual side of rice and beans. Both very flavourful. Chicken Tortilla Soup - the broth was amazing and the amount of avocado was impressive. There was a lot of chicken and tortilla chips in there. I’m probably the minority here, but I would have preferred more broth and less chicken and chips. Loved the avocado though. Couldn’t finish the soup as it was so filling. The Piña Colada was really good. Should have said no whip, but didn’t realize it would be on there.

Service was great and customer oriented. Very friendly and accommodating. Food was a little on the bland side for my particular taste, other than that it was decent. I had the sizzling beef fajitas (about $20 per plate). The other plate was enchilada with a tostada. The beans and Spanish rice weren't as bad as other places but aren't the greatest. One notable thing is that there is a musty smell in the restaurant, as if the place has been closed off for decades. It does not stink but there is a distinctive oder. Overall, $60 lunch for two.

No flavor, I swear the veggie fajita is just a bag or frozen stir fry mix. Soaked in oil. There wasn’t even salt and pepper. Completely flavorless place, tamale filled with dry meat. Skip this place….they can’t even get the tortillas you wanted right.

Update: On our last visit I was looking forward to their great margaritas. Alas it was not the same delicious drink I had before. I don't know why but they must have added lots of orange juice and made it much sweet. Is lime more expensive ?! Why make this change. Next time I will make sure to tell them not to add any orange juice. OLD:This is our favorite Mexican food in Lacey. Best margaritas and nachos in town. The food here is delicious and very reasonable. Service is fast and friendly. Try the fajitas you can't go wrong.

Always love the Mayan. The same gentleman who works the bar has been there for YEARS! He wears the same humble smile. Very cordial and nice. The food is always great. The chips and salsa is something I never even finish. But here, at the Mayan, I usually ask for seconds. Sooooo good!! ❤️

Delicious food and exactly what we were looking for when we entered this restaurant. Portions are huge so don’t be surprised. The sizzling plates are just a pleasure when they arrive.

Everyone (staff) here is so inviting, they make you feel right at home, always making sure you have water filled, salsa ect... They really know how to treat a customer, all about customer service and making you happy at this restaurant. The food is really good, the rice has flavor ... I can't really say which is my favorite, but the lunch specials are amazing, can't beat those prices now a days, $10.00 plus tax.

Food was great! Hubby had a chicken burrito, I had the Mexican pizza & our son had 3 beef tacos, didn't take too long to come out & we all were happy. Typical atmosphere for Mexican food, it was a late lunch & it was kinda busy, our server did laughingly forget my straw request twice but he walked past us often that it wasn't too long still & he was super nice too. A gal kept my water glass full, I believe a supervisor asked if everything was OK, and the hostess checked us out. It was a great lunch & this place had a good system going on.

The servers are always friendly. Very comfortable. Reasonably priced. The food is quick to be served. If you love Mexican, I think this is the best place. Best salsa with chips too.

The food was decent, but my coworker mentioned his food was salty. The tacos were ok, the meat was a bit dry. Service was very good when we went for lunch and the food came out pretty quickly.

Surprisingly pretty inside, and I liked the high-backed booths - would make a good spot for quiet conversation. The food was tasty and hot. Ordered some basics, and was not disappointed. Great service - very attentive and friendly.

Got the chilaquiles, very disappointed when I received nachos instead. Beans and rice that it came with was good! But if I wanted nachos I would've ordered nachos. Plus we had to get up and get the waitress to ask for more tortillas.
