It’s worth the hype and worth the wait! We finally made a point to get over there during their limited business hours and try this famous little drive-thru burger joint. Overall, it was really good. Staff were super friendly - reminded me of my many years living in the south and folks just looking for a reason to talk to you. It was great. We ordered a variety of burgers, sides, and even some milkshakes from the partner business deserving up sweets. In my opinion, the Pete burger and onion rings were the best. Loved the fry sauce they gave out too! We didn’t get a corn dog this time well but it was recommended for our next visit lol. Best part: it’s incredibly fair in price. You could get a full affair - burger, fries, drink or whatever, for like $15 a person. Best value we’ve found in the Olympia/Lacey area. For reference - we arrived at 5:30 on Friday and waited about 45 minutes in a long line of cars to get our food. Good news, they “close” at 6, but they seem to let anyone already in line get through. It’s a wait, but as long as you know ahead of time, it’s totally worth it.

One of the juiciest burgers I've had! Super delicious food with shakes and other sides. Wish they were open more but this place is a must for any burger lover!

I had the Pete’s double and frings. The homemade ranch and tartar are a must. We waited about 45 mins on a Saturday afternoon. I’ve been following on Facebook for years and decided today was the day. Hour drive was totally worth it. There’s about 6 picnic tables to eat at and it’s perfect for a beautiful day. Staff are busy but still friendly which goes a long way. We’ll be back soon!

Love Van's burgers. The down side, they are seasonal and only open a few days a week. Their milkshakes are amazing with real fruit chunks. Corndogs are gigantic and taste homemade. Made/fried to order sooooo fresh and with crunchy coating and a very juicy beef sausage. Line forms quickly so you better get there as soon as they open. You can enjoy t h e goodies at home or park right there with a green view of the farm. Burgers are available on the other shack and they are the best as well. But they have the longest line.

This shack is a combination of many good parts that when taken together make something exceptional! The burgers, fries, shakes and customer service are all superb. A very cool place that is well worth the wait. I got the cheeseburger with an egg and it was delicious. The chocolate shake on the side was creamy and sweet. This place is worth the visit if you are patient and catch them while they are open

It was our first time going and will definitely be back! We waited about 40 mins before being able to order sweet stop! They handed out a newsletter to help make it seem like the waits less the newsletter talked about each employee so that's awesome to be recognized. The milkshakes were super good. They gave our dogs pup cups and a free burger patty! The girls in the burger stand were soo friendly and efficient. Who ever owns this place is doing something right.

Excellent burgers and fries. I love their quirky business model, “The place that’s never open since 2000.” Not quite being sure when they are open, or for how long, creates long lines of cars. Fortunately the lines move fast and at 11 am when they opened on Thursday, there were only 7 cars ahead of me. It is definitely worth it. Pete’s Double Burger is as good as my friends said it would be.

Visited Van's Burgers for the first time a few days ago. I ordered a hand dipped corn dog which cost $6.00 (didn't come with anything just the corn dog) oh and fry sauce ($0.50). I felt like that was pricey but really wanted to give this place a try because I drive by it every so often and see such a long line so I thought it must be good! When I ordered the corn dog, that was at The Sweet Spot (they have 2 lines for 2 different small shacks *best way to describe the set up* but same company). When I spoke with the lady at my window, she walked over to me because I was in the longer line to get to the Burger shack, I told her this was my first time and she explained that 1 side of the menu can be ordered at The Sweet Spot (shakes, sundaes, cones, corn dog) but burgers, fries, fountain drinks, onion rings and hot dog can be ordered from the Burger side. She also mentioned that whatever I ordered from The Sweet Spot I would be charged once (this was not mentioned but I noticed that they put a laminated magnetic number on the driver side door) they go prepare what you've ordered (from The Sweet Spot) and once it's done they bring it to your car (the wait for the Burger side is LONG so by the time you near the ordering speaker for the Burger side, they will usually have walked over your first order to your car window and removed the magnetic number from your car). As I mentioned when I spoke to the first lady who took my order she explained to me how if you order from both The Sweet Spot and the Burger side you will be charged twice. I was fine with that until I got home and really looked at my receipt 😔 I want to warn those with using a debit or credit card, they charge a convenience fee of $0.50 on top of the tax.. so if you order from both shacks plan to pay that fee twice and tax twice. I was bummed to see that I paid nearly an extra $3.00 on top of what I had agreed to order. If your on a budget, account for these fees or better yet only use cash when ordering from here but still account for double tax if paying cash yet ordering from both sides. This was my only problem when ordering at Van's, I wish I had got the heads up about my card and *ballpark* amount on tax. I ended up spending more than I wanted to and had I known about the credit card convenience fee I would have just picked 1 side to order from. As for the food itself it was BOMB ❤️ not gonna lie! The corn dog is big and not like Foster Farms chicken corn dogs from Costco! It's a beef frank and was big enough to cut into three equal pieces for me and my kids (we came here just to get a try of their food without buying an entire lunch). We also ordered Frings: which is fries with 3 onions rings (I might have had 4, I can't remember) mixed in. I wish it had more fries though especially since I paid $4.58 for it. The 3 onion rings were delish just would have liked a little bit more fries although the onion rings are a decent size. With the corn dog and frings I spent $12.22 (no drink).. pricey compared to other drive-thrus but it's good quality food! When we have more room in our budget I plan to come back with cash, so my husband can try it out too. It's a cute place... Interesting set-up and yummy food... With pricing though, only a rare occasion for us to come eat though. Thanks for yummy food Van's 💛 Edit: Thank you Van's for responding to my review! That clears up so much for me. I really appreciate that! I changed my 3 starts to 5❤️ thank you so much for reaching out! My family and I can't wait to visit again 😊

My husband and I came here for my birthday lunch today and I'm glad that we did. The customer service was great, the prices were reasonable, and the food was delicious. Best burgers in Thurston County hands down. We will be back!

This place isn't always open. When it is, it is worth the wait. Its the best burger (also cheaper) for the lacy/Olympia area. Does have a small pasture of grass to be able to sit down. Wait for can be 15 to 40 minutes, depends. Burger tasted great and I loved the onion rings better than the fries.

Honestly I've only been to this burger place once. I would give it the full 5 stars however the reason I'm giving 4 is because the line gets ridiculously long like you have to have the whole day to yourself to really go here in case you sit there for like an hour. That is the only reason I subtracted a star otherwise the food overall deserves 5 stars. Will return again but come hella early before the other early birds come. Will possibly return whenever they plan on opening again.

I wish I could give 3.5 stars so I rounded up. Came during a week-day in the middle of their hours of operation. Super friendly and helpful. If you mention this when you first pull up, they will provide an info sheet/newsletters which was very, very helpful. I ordered a fair burger and fries. Fries were pretty good and ketchup was included. Yay. But the burger lacked a bit of flavor (I think just more salt and pepper would be great) and a lot more sauce than I was expecting. The burger was obviously fresh and I received another helpful sheet with FAQs. Very, very friendly service. I will come back to try some more food and also maybe something sweet.

If you like burgers, corn dogs and shakes, well, this place is your calling! Amazing family owned little place, ALWAYS busy, so if you don't mind the wait.. it's well worth it! There are 2 little buildings, that have their own lines, and it's a drive up only, and if you are in the burger line, while you wait the sweet spot staff will come to greet you and take your order if you would like a shake and or corn dog. If you don't want a burger just head over to the sweet spot line and get your corn dog and shakes! Easy place to get hooked on!

So I already gave a review on Vans, not sure what happened, it showed I only gave one star, this was not a one star review, Vans is very good!! I will definitely be going back. I had the pleasure of my son, and daughter in love treat me for lunch a couple of days ago. I ordered a strawberry shortcake, and it was incredible!! Also ordered a vanilla shake that was to die for until I snagged my son's coffee shake, that was the most incredible shake I have ever had!! Not to mention I could not wait and devoured half of the strawberry shortcake while we were waiting to order our food. We ordered the double pete (I think that is what it was called) it was a very very good burger. I want my hubby to try Vans, cause we love us a good burger. Thank you Vans for the incredible food, and service, and I do apologize for that one star that was an unintentional mistake

If you have not been to the burger or joint that is never open. DO IT. Fresh made when you order it as you order it and nothing less. Local and family owned. Sweet treats and more.

Longer wait but worth it. Good food, good shakes and friendly staff. Great lunch spot and tables by large trees. Kids can run around this area while the other parent orders food from car line.

The lines are long, and for good reason. The shakes and burgers are out of this world. Very filling. The burgers are crazy juicy and are nicely complimented by the fix-ins. I wish I took a picture of the meal but I was too hungry to remember lol. Also, the ladies here are so nice and very talkative while you wait for your meal. The talkativeness does not take away from their speed. Despite those long lines, you don’t wait for very long.

My husband and I drove cross country from NC and our first day in Washington we had Vans. We LOVE Van’s. The food is delicious, one of the best burgers I’ve had, the people are so friendly, the owner was so lovely to talk with, and the atmosphere was perfect! We sat at a picnic table in front of the beautiful farm and enjoyed our meal. I can’t wait until they open again for the season!

First time here, we've always pass by this burger joint and never had the chance to stop. Today... we did and it was delicious! We got the marionberry shake and it was soooo good. They also gave us a pup cup and a puppy patty for my dog. He enjoyed it very much! We also enjoyed our burgers, fries, onion rings but i didnt get to capture the food because i just needed to get that first bite! Definitely coming back. The long drive thru line was worth it. The staff was very nice too!

Love all the staff so friendly! Also they had puppy patties for my fur baby and he got a lil ice cream treat so very cool
