Really nice little state park with two short loop trails and beach access and picnic tables too. Was clean and pretty well kept when we visited. Bathrooms open and clean too.

First time there to hike in well over a decade. I just adopted the new friend in the images. My advice for this park is bring water, rubber boots and munchies. Except for the more hardy one of you, this is a 3.5 out of 5 hike. It can get intense in places. There's signs around to read that can provide a needed break. Be sure to drink as well as breathe at those signs. It can be really muddy up there. Tennis shoes are NOT recommended. Water proof hiking or rubber boots are the best options. The paths are narrow in places so clean up after your pet because there's not much room as it is. The beach is awesome! Low or high tide, each has its own draw. Sitting there watching the sail boats, the birds and the people enjoying themselves just makes our day!

Had a blast on a little hike with my sister and her fiance on a Saturday. Not crowded, easy but beautiful hike, although parts of the trail were quite muddy still :) but passable.

This is a amazing place to visit with your family or friends it has an amazing view of the water an its very simp[le to access you do need a discovery pass which you can get online but if you cant get it online you can also get it at the parking lot here you could pick up all sorts of clams with the right license its fun and simple and you can also go hiking with your family or friends its a nice simple walk with plenty picnic areas so once you're done you can sit down and eat with everyone but overall definitely a 10 out of 10 would go again.

Here in Washington everything is beautiful during the spring and summer. It is considered a small state park but the trails are quite long considering the fact that it can take a few hours for hiking on the multiple trails. The day we went there it was quite nice and sunny, and the trails aren’t difficult to walk on. It was a little bit muddy but not muddy to the point where you’d slip. The beach had seaweed everywhere and you can see many people looking around for shellfish and clams. They also had bathrooms that were accessible in case you needed to go. Overall the hike was quite nice and Happy New Year!! :D

If you are looking for a good saltwater beach in Thurston County this is the one! It was a little confusing how to access the shoreline with ease. The first parking area (small loop) is off to the right as you come in. Looked like a couple trails leading down to the beach. This is bit of a hike. If you stay to the LEFT instead as you access the park it will take you to the lower parking level with MUCH easier access to the shore. No steps and steady ground all the way to the beach. This should be easily accessed with mobility scooters or if you have help with somebody pushing you in a wheelchair. There is just a little bit of a hill you can see in my pictures. There are picnic tables throughout the area and off to the right as you get to the beach, which are nestled under the trees. Easily can spend the day down there. Enjoy!

I've gone to this park since I was a little girl, and every time I go it gets a little more beautiful. Clean bathrooms, easy parking (don't forget your discovery pass! If you do you can buy a day pass at a small machine in the parking lot, $10 for the day.) Short and quaint trails that lead you back down to the beach. Picnic tables for family get togethers. Overall a wonderful park :)

This park offers a great combination of forest trails and beaches! Arrive early, parking at the beach is limited and fills up quick on nice days!

Great park with a rocky beach on the Puget Sound. Water is full of seaweed so not ideal for going into the water. Parking lot was full when I went on Sunday. Discover pass is required just like all the other state parks

It was rainy and wet when we were there. We did a quick walk to the beach. Took some pictures and left. Definitely will come back to hike around next time.

My 6 year old son and I came for our first time, to experience the super low tide that was happening. Lots of cool creatures were found and we saw some cranes!

Awesome park with trails that went through the woods and down by the beach. Great place to go explore nature and unwind. You do have to pay to park or have a discover pass.

Went to experience lowest tide of the year on a local beach. The park was busy as it was Independence Day. Many folks were collecting oysters and digging clams. Please remember to return the sand back into the hole you dig, I saw an eldery woman unknowingly step into an open hole and she almost fell down! Watch where you step as the exposed beach is teeming with sea life and many of the crabs are smaller than a thumbnail! Replace any rocks you might overturn as it is most likely some sea creature's home. You may see bat boxes that have been placed high on some trees. Restrooms with running water are available. there are some picnic tables near the lower parking lot, the restrooms and on the beach. I understand that there are a few mooring buoys if you would like to come by boat.

Nice beach to set up for the family and have a great time, parking is $10 for the day and the month pass is $30 that's a steal if you want to cool down at the beach!

Miles of rugged trails and boardwalks. Love taking kids and dogs for walks. We like to end up at the beach before leaving.

Beautiful!!the hike was a little easier than I thought, maybe older kid friendly hike. The loop was great and you can go on the beach and swim!

Beautiful views of trees where you park your car, easy beach access, and even if you can't walk the walk to the beach, the parking lot IS paved, and across the street from where you park is a beautiful view of the water. NOTE: Discover Pass required.

It's one of my favorite parks in Lacey! Access to the water, trails, picnic tables, BBQ pits, restrooms, and I believe an event area. We take our kayaks/paddleboards down here and enjoy the water. You can also dig for clams here. The trails have a few hills, but they are not terrible.

As State Parks go- this was not pleasant to me at all. The beach area was full of algae on the sand and in the water. No way would I go in that water. The Creek that comes off the main waterway is in urgent need of maintenance. It looks awful. There was very little parking at the beach area. I have been to State parks in many areas where I’ve lived and this seems to be one of the worst I’ve seen. Maybe their trails are nicer- but it was hot- so I didn’t check them out.

Just stopped in, to see how the parked looked. Omw to Olympia, from Seattle. Low tide I see. Cloudy day. Pretty quiet. Cant give good or bad. So the 3 star. See photos

It's a rocky beach at the bottom of the Puget Sound. It gets lots of seaweed and the water is pretty stagnant. It has some sand areas that are good for kids to play in, but doesn't expect to go swimming, very shallow water even during high tide. Yet it has amazing views and some okay hiking trails.

I enjoy hiking the loop trail. It's just under 2 miles but there's a shortcut that can cut it down. The trails aren't usually very busy. Sometimes the parking lots fill up from the people visiting the beach. It's especially busy during low tides.
