05/13/23: it was my second time here after 3 years but nothing changed much. The sceneries were in great preservation with plenty of beautiful flowers and trees. I enjoyed the peace and calm this nature brought to us. A good piece of advice is to keep driving past the entrance and go deeper into the park so that you can save some energy. Hopefully, I could go back to this amazing place soon

Free city park! Phenomenal. Lots of short trails, beach access points, and even parking. Went on a foggy Saturday morning and had much of the trail to myself. It was a wonderful intro to PNW outdoors.

Well this was a unique little find. We heard about Telephone in the Wind, a rotary phone on a slab of wood behind a huge tree toward the back of the park for privacy. The gist of the phone is to call lost loved ones to help with the healing process. Get ready to get your heart strings pulled on that one. As for the park itself, it had plenty of parking spots and clean bathrooms (I'm assuming they were that clean because of the spiders guarding them on the outside). There was a rose garden that we didn't have a chance to explore but looked pretty awesome as we drove by it. A huge jungle gym for the kids that was tempting this adult *points to myself*. Dog friendly. Would love to explore this park some more.

Went on the Squaxin East Loop trail. Well maintained, easy shaded trail. Want to try the trail to the beach next time.

What a beautiful walk through the forest area down the walkways across the bridge. There were a lot of stairs going up going down going up, and then you would come to a bridge, and you go cross the bridge. It was a wonderful hike. The scenery was beautiful, and the day was perfect.

This has long been one of my favorite parks in Olympia WA. It's got a wonderful beach that goes for miles. You can always find lots of ducks and some osprey chirping about. The park is filled with lots and lots of trees and they have a playground for the kids. There's so many picnic areas that I don't think that I can count them all. There's also some nature trails to walk and several covered spots if you're planning a family get together, it's a good place to go. when you arrive in the park there's a shelter to the right and parking to the left. You also have the option of going to the left across the bridge which would lead down to the beach access points. If you were to go to the right you will find a lot of wooded areas and walking trails. Plenty of picnic benches throughout the park. The large private bathrooms are located just next to the playground which has another very large covered structure with many picnic benches for kids parties and gatherings etc. it's a dog friendly park as well so a wonderful place to get your poochers, smoochers, kibble and bits (not my dogs names) outside for walkies and zoomies across the beach. Hope this helps and that you enjoy yourself at Squaxin Park 🏞️

Gorgeous beach with nicely maintained trails. We were able to get our stroller down to the beach without any difficulty. Amazingly -- it's free!

This was a great park to explore. Free parking available and restrooms. The play structure was really fun and the hikes to the water are easy and fun. Lots of visitors at this park and filled with adventure for all ages. The view of the capitol was really nice from the mud flats. My 6yo loved the play structure. I think a picnic here would be nice as well.

This was my former dog's "Happy Place' we were always hear it seems like. The trail down to the water is easy, and rain or shine it's always a beautiful view.

After 2 health scares, I'm getting back into shape. Finding a place that's clean, safe and well cared for makes the task that much easier. My dog loves it there as well. The owl watched us walk by.

Gorgeous spot! There is a playground, a shelter, a drinking fountain, and plenty of parking. I wish I could afford a house up there.

This park is excellent! Great for a picnic or a hike! Long trails or a short hike down to the beach! A personal favorite! There's a large area with equipment for kids to play on and I've also seen a number of weddings in the rose garden.

Went on a 2 hour walk through this beautiful park. One thing to be aware of is it extends over the highway so they are two entrances. Walked all thru the hills and down to beach totalling close to 5 miles

Beautiful location - the beach homes are gorgeous, the area is very clean and the day we visited it was super peaceful and quiet. Lots of wildlife - the herons and hawks were out, tiny crabs abundant. Very relaxing place to chill at. The hiking trail is stunning and super clean!

Absolutely gorgeous park with miles of hiking trails. There are a few stairs in places to get down to the beach where you can walk along for a mile or so. We take the kids and dogs for walks year round and in the summers the kids have camp/clubs for activities and adventures. I even managed to carry my onewheel down to the beach. (PintX)

We only got to hit one of the trails but it was beautiful! Excited to go see more of this park. So much to see. It was like a fairy tale. The trees had moss all over them. Even with it being close to the road it feels like your in another world. Nice trails marks at the beginning to show you where it will take you. The water was beautiful with tons of sea life. Shells everywhere, jelly fish, and you could see little critters in small pools.

Nice park close to Olympia. Spread out with lots of trees and a part area for kids. Bathrooms were clean and the green areas were calming. Wasn't to crowded on 04July, we had plenty of room.

Such a beautiful place. There are lots of shelters and a fun big toy for kids. Trails are maintained and garden on the east side is gorgeous. One of my favorite parks.

Easy clear trails. Beautiful trees tipped off the ledge and onto the beach that are amazingly still alive and thriving including one very confusing madrona. Only the right side of is alive. The left is very dead and crumbling!

There's always something happening at the pavilion but it never feels as crowded as it is since there's plenty of paths to walk. The playground is decent sized and even has a swing for special needs children. This is a favorite for the whole family as it gets everyone outdoors, beach walks for pups and play structures to help the kids unwind too. There's a couple kitchen pavilions and tons of picnic tables so as the weather warms maybe we'll leverage those as well on our outings.
