In the last few days we've walked most of the trails at least once, since we are anchored right off the beach (it's been rainy but gorgeous). The whole park is beautifully maintained, with nice trails that have steps in the steep sections. The walking is fairly easy throughout. The foliage is dense and lush and verdant, with plenty of variety. There are basic restrooms, and plenty of picnic tables on a pretty, wild flower strewn meadows. Spectacular views of the bay, too.

This park is a really pretty, forest covered hideaway, just about 12 minutes off the 101. It was quiet and secluded, just a few other peaceful park goers and a few dogs. There are great views of the Puget Sound and Mt. Rainier with benches for rest and contemplation. There's a playground, surprisingly clean bathrooms, and a center area with a small pavilion with tables on a green lawn. A well constructed path leads you down to a sandy spit of beach at low tide or up through the woods with towering Maples, Douglas Fir, and Pines. In all, a few, miles of meandering pleasure.

Beautiful!!! Lovely, magical trails. I only give a four star because the beach is so sinky! Like serious hazard if you're unaware with little kids. I felt like I was Indiana Jones in the Temple of Doom quick sand scene, I kept thinking.... "This is how it happens..." But seriously, it should be posted somewhere. Had my teenaged daughter not been able to help me (I had a baby in my arms) and we were helping our extra three year old it could have been really bad!!!! But we love this spot. Great digging for all the things little kids love (shells, fossils, crabs, etc), playground, and trails. Truly a gem! Just be aware and be safe! And wear boots. And bring a change of clothes 🀣🀣🀣

Stunningly beautiful park. A variety of well-maintained trails. Not flat- you will ascend and descend many times along this lovely walk.

Nice, spacious and not busy at all. Super clean park, even the vault toilets were not bad! Plenty of picnic tables, space to walk around and explore. Decent amount of parking with a small walk down to the beach area. I saw one person setting out with their kayak so perhaps a good area for that Went on a Wednesday mid week and saw only one other person, so if you are looking for a relaxing, less crowded park with nice scenic views then this is the spot for you! Safe travels to all of our fellow explorers!

This place has potential to be awesome, so does every where on the puget sound, need to free the rivers and streams take the dams down! This spot would be a cool habitat for fish and wildlife. All of the puget sound estuaries need to be free flowing and cleaned up.

I came here for the first time to practice with my camera during the heavy wildfire smoke of September 2020. It's a small, well-maintained park with grass paths to the water and a small playground. There are several open areas for picnics or field activities, but the space is limited. I hope to come back when the smoke isn't so bad.

Hills/trails are kind of high and dark in the woods, but great experience. Great exercise!

Access to the beach is not easy, or necessarily possible, for people who may struggle with mobility. The off pavement trails are relatively well kept, some of the areas that have wooden steps could be a problem. But even if a person has issues with mobility, there is a lot of beauty to enjoy in this park. Be mindful however, that like any other wilderness bound place on the Olympic peninsula the possibility of encountering a mountain lion does exists, although it is rare.

Beautiful Park with Beach access and Mountain view. Bay comes all the way up to the bank at high tide. A few PokemonGo stops and gyms here too.

Very nice place to relax, cool salt water experience, even saw a seal up close. Bath house was a bit old school. The one complaint I had was advertisment/signs or direction are no were to be found. The only reason I stopped was because I was looking for a place to fish which is very hard to do because everything on the water is private. Good for the rich lol....just not for me.

Nicely groomed moderate trails for a walk/hike. Picnic area within park over looks puget sound. Restroom and fresh water fountain available

Great place for a very quiet stroll. Some well-graded steep paths, some made into wide/deep steps. Just enough visitors around on a lovely Sunday afternoon to not feel too desolate. We skipped the beach itself because I have a dog who's very into eating raw shellfish, and that's a no-no here.

Nice little park. Very disappointing can't get down to water access. If you are a spry chicken and you can stone hop. If you are disabled not advisable for water access.

Not quite what we expected. The water was hard to get down to from the trail, and once we did get down, the water was quite dirty. Would be great for people using it to fish in some form or fashion, not great for a "hot day cool off."

I went to Frye Cove Park yesterday. The hill from the parking lot is very steep and it is about a quarter of a mile to the picnic area. That is a long way to carry your gear. They need to make the parking closer to that area. I left after I walked down to check things out. It is just too far and too steep to be carrying things. I will not be going back.

A bit wet with all the rain. There are trails around the park but it's not marked and i couldn't find a map. There are lots of side trails so don't get lost Dogs allowed on leash but couldn't find the off leash area
