Bob Bammert Grove Trail is a beautiful, quick loop hike in Capitol Forest. You get a bit of elevation gain (about 350 feet or so) and a beautiful, serene, quiet hike - when we went we were the only ones on the trail. The only negative I could say is that there are 3 downed trees (2 in one area together) that can be a little tricky to navigate over - I had to carry/lift my dogs over them. Otherwise if you want to experience a scenic, beautiful hike that isn’t overly long this is a great place to visit!

An easy and peaceful hike that wasn’t as uphill as the other reviews made it out to be. The trail was empty (my favorite) and well kept. If you’re looking for a beautiful PNW hike that’s not going to eat up multiple hours of your day, this one’s for you.

16Mar2022 WED, after my Mima Falls Loop ramble, i went to the nearby Bob Bammert Grove for a walk. The Trail was wet with only a few wet muddy spots - all passable, but be cautious cos it may be slippery. Also, the Trails seemed maintained, and in reasonably good condition. The Grove was beautiful, luscious and green. Some bird-songs .. lots of sweet solitude for me 👍😊 i encountered 1 person when i was on my way Back/Down to the Trailhead. no sign of wildlife Didn't notice any people's trash during my ~45 mins hours on the Trail .. until back at the Pullout-Parking .. wherei i had a good fun clearing a bag-full (and brought it home for dumping).

Lush forest! Trailhead is easy to find, parking area available, trail was not crowded on a weekday afternoon, fellow trail goers that we encountered were friendly! Not a problem for us, but something that may be help to know when deciding to hike this trail is that a few of the low bridges do not have railings, but all of the bridges have roofing material for walking on so they are far less slippery when wet than bare boards, it was nice!

Was a nice short loop, dogs allowed on a leash. Trails were maintained enough that it was easy to tell where the trail was.

Love this trail. It's beautiful and a great, quick way to get out into the woods. I'm a regular visitor to this awesome loop trail.

Nice little hike with the family. Trail was not muddy, but it has been dry and hot these past few weeks. We were the only people there! There were no downed trees, so the trail had been recently maintained.

Very quiet and some old growth make this a special place. The prison a bit up the road isn’t any worry :-)

Trail is beautiful and has great views but it was almost all uphill so not an easy one. Marking as 4 because there are no maps for the loop showing distance or anything.

This trail is absolutely stunning. It feels like you're in the Olympic rain forest without having to drive all the way there. Unbelievably lush and green and teeming with life.
