It was a very nice small-town museum. It was small, it looked like they put a lot of effort and purpose into everything. I only wish they would put much fewer words on their displays because it makes it boring, and it looks like they are trying too hard to be one of the big museums. I love how their gift shop has some native items for sale made by natives and the profits go back to the community.

I was expecting a tiny museum but DuPont Historical Museum was impressive and intriguing. Carol, the curator, was knowledgeable, friendly, and a pleasure to talk with. And what a rich history of DuPont on display with artifacts, maps, information, and photos. I’ll definitely return.

Fun place to spend a Wednesday! It was sunny when we went. The grounds are beautiful! The back room was like being in my Grandma's home. They even had the same wood stove she had, including the wall paper! (She loved her chickens 🐔 ) The proprietor was very knowledgeable about the history of the Nisqually Tribe and the surrounding areas as well as Dupont.(She gave us a guided tour) Husband was a big kid around the train! Best thing, IT'S FREE! Just leave a donation at the door. Take the Steilacoom DuPont exit off of I-5.

This is a small museum. The history of DuPont is interesting and told in a chronological progression. Many artifacts are displayed as part of the history timeline.

Awesome museum. From the front / outside it looks small. But the building goes very, very deep, room after room. Everything is well tended, with excellent signage to describe what you are viewing. Did I mention the great staff person we met? Overall a very enjoyable couple hours! And to think we did not even know it was here. Come see it before the Smithsonian folks discover it and pack it off to Washington DC!
