A small park with a nice playground for kids. Didn’t get off the car as it was raining.

Loved reading about the history of this area. Beautiful spot to get a quiet walk in, with the sound of children nearby at the playground and the rumbling of the falls just ahead. A gaggle of Canadian geese descended while we were there, and the ducks are plentiful.

This is a gem of a park. The waterfront areas are amazing. The playground is very nice and kept up. It has the nicest, smoothest Zipline I've ever seen. Will definitely bring the kids back.

Beautiful place to spend several hours. There are picnic benches, bathrooms, many different activities in the playground area including swings, one zip line (which is the most popular attraction and kids cultivate their patience) and different slides. Also many green areas in case you want to play ball, frisbee, tag, etc. Parking was not too difficult although gets very packed by noon.

We love this hidden treasure. It's often not crowded and has a fast zip line! A nice, mostly flat walking trail is adjacent where one adult can exercise while the other watches the kids. Great combination and lovely landscape. Very clean restrooms.

This is my all time favorite park! As a kid my mother use to take my sister and I there to feed the ducks; not allowed to feed ducks anymore but I still enjoy watching them. And this park always had the coolest toys, and has held true to that reputation to this day! Just took my son and nephew for the first time in years, had no idea they'd redone the toys again. Still the best park ever!!

One of the best parks I've visited. It has a zip line and a manual merry-go-round. A toddler playground and a structure for older ones.

Nice little park for the family. Benches, walking trails to the falls park, picnic tables with a gazebo, and a bunch of cool playground toys for the little ones. It is very busy during the summer as expected.

A really nice park overall. There is a 3 story slide 🛝, swings, a rope climbing spider web 🕸 thing, a zip line, a pond with ducks 🦆 little picnic tables ^_^ a bathroom that is decent. My 2.5yr old son enjoyed himself there.

What an amazing playground!! There are a few huge slides, a zip line, and some other unusual play equipment. Our kids range from 16 mo. to 8 and they all had fun, but especially the older ones.

I love this park. My kids love it as well! Great play area and sheltered picnic area. The playground is complete with a zip line and giant slides. Even small slides for the little ones. From the park there are trails you can walk on both sides of the park. One trail goes up towards the tum waterfalls, and the other goes towards Capital Lake. It's a really nice area, usually plenty of parking and bathrooms.

This park is always fun to stop by. I have been coming here on and off with all my kids. Now they are all grown. I missed this place.

Great playground. Always pretty full on the weekends but we went during the week and the kids got to have multiple trips on the Zip Line without waiting in line. Also love that the whole park is visible from the bench so I can just sit and watch the kids play.

It's super fun and if so much to do. At the playground there are so many slides and even a zipline. Also there are swings. When I go there it is always so much things to play on. There's also a fun Little walk to get to the playground it's also the main base for the summer camp WA-YA.

My 4 year old Grandson visits us from Long Beach,California.. When he does..one of the first places he wants to visit " The Climbing Fort with Long Tunnel"..WE as a Family love Tumwater Historical Park ! The design, location, & age appropriate ( Infant,Toddler,Child,Young Adult & Adult) equipment and facilities ate well incorporated. No other parks in our area offer what Tumwater Historical Park offers..play areas, climbing webs, swings, climbing tower and zip line and surrounding walking trails.. Ability to use covered picnic / meeting area, clean restrooms, abundant handicap parking in large well lit parking lot an added bonus. Tumwater residents should be grateful to Community Leadership in this " Gem" and other Residents of the local area ( we reside in Olympia) should make note of this Park.

A great playground with unique climbing toys. There are always lots of kids here. The park is located next to a river. There are often geese. There us a large grass field and a trail as well. Parking is paved and there are quiet a few spots. There is a public restroom.
